Blood In Blood Out?

Wow, so, my plan was to work on Part 2 of 2 for Descendant; Origin of the Soul, but right after I posted Part 1 a few hours ago I sliced the tips of my middle finger and ring finger on my left hand.

There was a dry erase board (with no wooden border on it) next to my desk that was falling backwards, and when I reached down to stop it, I guess it was the perfect angle. I didn’t know, but that dry erase board is a thin sheet of metal capable of cutting the shit out you.

There was blood everywhere; walls, desk, floor, bed, cell phone, laptop, and on my face and clothes.

Here’s the interesting thing.

On May 22nd, the third night of the new moon in Cancer, I prayed to Jesus, the Lady and the Lord, and Goddesses Athena and Vesta. I was praying and asking for certain things, and I have a little ritual I like to do at the end of the prayers to, in a sense, solidify the deal.

Well…

There days ago I bought a few candles from the Dollar store because May 1st was the celebration for the Beltane Sabbat. I know I was late on that, but it’s okay. I was never that religious with Catholicism and I’m not that religious with the Craft.

I bought two dark green candles because they resonate best with Beltane, and an Orange owl candle for the Greek Goddess of wisdom, warfare, and handicraft, Athena (Minerva in Rome’s Pantheon).

I lit them last night, and all of them burnt out by this afternoon except one of the dark green candles.

That dark green candle burned all day, which is surprising for a Dollar store candle, and they say you should let the candles burn out naturally because the time it takes for the candles to burn out is how long it takes the Gods to hear and answer your prayers.

As a matter of fact, the last thing I noticed before cutting my fingers was the flame still going.

Then, SLICE (accidentally of course)!! Before I even noticed I was cut, blood was everywhere. I jumped up, wrapped my hand in a towel and sped off to the ER.

When I got home, the flame was out.

Giving the sequence of events and the synchronicities involved here, was the shedding of blood God’s plan to intensify the power of the candle magic?

I would never and have never involved blood with candle magic or rituals before, but after what happened today, I feel like doing so was necessary and inevitable with or without my consent.

Was this an induction by unseen forces of nature?

I will get to Part 2 of 2 before tomorrow is over, I promise.
