Updates, Current Project

Smorgasbord A Collection of Thoughts Experiences and Stories was the first book I wrote, and Smorgasbord 2 Catch Up and Relish was the second. Both were self-published, and both are available for purchase.

Smorgasbord 3 Prophecy and Poverty is the third and final book of the Smorgasbord series. Ironically, it still sits in my possession as a complete manuscript because I haven’t had the money to publish it yet.

I’m working very hard to get that done, but I do feel like things happen for a reason. When I am ready to move forward with the publication of that book, I’m sure the timing will be perfect.

My fourth book, which for now, I’m calling Book 4 because I haven’t decided on a title yet, is going to be something completely different. Book four is going to be a contribution to astrology, and I think this body of work will be well received, spark extensive conversation, and ultimately, provide people with a deeper connection to their personal astrological alignments.

It’s my belief that we can take our personal astrology to another level by understanding the mythology, folklore, and religious and scientific connections left unmentioned.

The Mark of Greatness

Do you remember when you were young, just a little kid, and you watched that horror movie for the first time? You were scared, terrified even! Then, you couldn’t sleep. You were up all night having nightmares.

Before the night was over, you ran to your parents’ bed and said, “I’m scared!”

And your parents said, “Stop watching horror movies!”

I thought about this scenario last year when a woman got really scared after reading the first chapter in my first book, Smorgasbord A Collection of Thoughts Experiences and Stories.

It was a short story fiction piece titled, Lunatic. So, the book opens with the sentence, “I’ll fucking kill you!”

Another woman said she was upset and appalled at the foul language, so she put the book down real quick. Like it was on fire!

Neither one of them actually bought the book, I gifted it to them, and the second woman had a mouth like a truck driver, but that’s besides the point.

I was laughing at their responses, and they asked me why I was laughing.

“I’m laughing because my art evoked those emotions in you. That’s what a good writer does. Good writing makes you feel things.”

She said, “Yeah, but I wouldn’t have bought your book.”

“That’s okay,” I said. “Don’t read it if it scares you. Don’t read it if it upsets you.”

Writing; Independent & Uncensored

It’s important for me to share this with you, my audience. I know people who are authors and who’ve written many books.

When a book is published traditionally, there’s often a list of guidelines and requirements the author must adhere to. Traditional book publishing is big business and it has been for a long time.

The problem with it is that publishing companies (traditional) often have the final say over what gets published, what gets written, how it gets written, and unbelievably, the title of the book itself sometimes.

Traditional publishing, because it’s big business, does not like to stray from what makes them money. They’ll publish a writer, but he can’t write this, and he can’t write that, and he can’t put these pictures in the book, and he can’t call the book this, etc.

Llewellyn, a huge publishing company, chose not to publish my book because it had the word Prophecy in the title. I was shocked considering the type of books Llewellyn publishes, but this is an example of what I’m talking about.

My books are self-published. I wrote them, I edited them, I titled them, and I paid to have them published. This is authorship at the grass roots level.

Two of my books have been published, while one sits next to me complete. Smorgasbord 3 Prophecy and Poverty was complete three months ago, but there’s not much I can do until I save enough money to have it published.

Not only is Smorgasbord 3 complete, but I’m working on fourth book that’s going to be about astrology.

The point I’m trying to make here, is that when you purchase my books, you’re not getting something curtailed for sales. Weather it’s short story fiction, poetry, non-fiction, personal stories, political and religious opinions, you’re getting it in its rawest form.

As a nation of sovereign and free people, this is the type of work you should want to support.

Decisions Decisions

Hello everyone, how are you on this Sunday morning? I hope you’re all doing well.

Smorgasbord 3 Prophecy & Poverty, I’ve decided will be the last book in the Smorgasbord series. When I began writing the first book, Smorgasbord A collection of Thoughts Experiences and Stories, I wasn’t sure exactly what would come of it, but I knew it would eventually lead to something else; possibly something different, something greater in certain ways, and something more specific.

As all endings present new beginnings, I will move on to the next project. It will probably be something in the area of astrology.

That you for visiting Nooz Buffet, and if you haven’t picked up the first two Smorgasbord books, you can do so on several websites; Barns & Noble and Amazon have it paperback and e-form. You can also purchase the e-book on Google Play or Apple iTunes.

Have a wonderful day.

💥Boomer Esiason, former NFL QB for the Jets and the Bengals, was upset with Donald Trump’s golf outing because he said it was an insult to families of 9-11. I don’t understand why he’s mad at Trump though.

I should probably clarify something here. I think it’s sad and I think it’s terrible that all those innocent people lost their lives because of 9-11. It’s sad and I feel sorry for all the families who lost loved ones, but that doesn’t change my opinions about the incident itself. If you know anything about demolition, then you know the Towers were imploded. I’m not saying planes didn’t hit them. I’m saying those buildings fell the way they did because they were imploded. And if they were imploded then someone had to go in there and line the inside of the buildings with dynamite. I think it’s terrible what happened to the victims involved, and I think it’s even worse that the people in this country were lied to.

🌞A horoscope I read today said, “when you’ve said what you wanted to say, people might be opposed to it, and compromise might be necessary.” There are a few things I’d like to say about this. If you’re saying something about someone or something that you know isn’t true, then a compromise might be necessary. But, when it comes to truth, some people are ready for it and and some or not. If you speak the truth and someone opposes it, we’ll, I don’t think a compromise is necessary. People will hate you for speaking the truth.

💰I don’t know if you saw, but archeologists found an old coin in Israeli waters. It was a Roman-Era coin, it was almost 2,000 years old, and on one side it had a lunar goddess with a crescent moon and an image of the crab from the astrological sign, Cancer. Pretty cool find!

📘A good friend of mine, author and astrologer, Bernie Ashman, just released a second edition to his original 1987 work, Astrological Games People Play. The new title is, Astrology, Psychology, and Transformation: Discovering Your Sacred Sky. It’s available in e-book and paperback!

♌Happy birthday season to all the lions! The sun entered the astrological sign Leo several days ago, and it will remain there until approximately August 22nd. There’s actually an interesting alignment currently in Leo; the sun and the moon are in conjunction with only two degrees of separation. (I’m going to talk about that in another article this evening)

❔Another rapper has been murdered. According to USA Today Online, Javorius Scott aka JAYDAYOUNGAN, was shot and killed on Louisiana yesterday. What a shame man. He was just 24-years old.

🏈NFL: NFL training camp is under way as teams reported to their facilities between the 18th and 26th of this month.

🤔💸💸💸The Federal government just announced its plan to spend $401 MILLION to expand the reach and speed of internet service for rural citizens living in western and central American states. Again, $401 Million dollars for internet service.

😮CNN Online just released a story about a 15-year old boy in Alaska. This kid shot three of his siblings who were 8, 15, 17, and then shot an killed himself. The parents were not home at the time and the investigation is ongoing.

👍Three days remain in July, and August 1st is next Monday. 2022 is going unbelievably fast. There’s a brand-new moon tonight, and tomorrow is Friday!! Enjoy.

Alright everyone. Thank you for following Nooz Buffet, and thank you for checking out another edition of Nooz Now! Don’t forget to pick up a copy of my books, Smorgasbord A Collection of Thoughts Experiences and Stories, and Smorgasbord 2 Catch Up and Relish. The link is below. Have a great night!

Smorgasbord A Collection of Thoughts Experiences and Stories

I would like to apologize to everyone who attempted to leave a review for Smorgasbord A Collection of Thoughts Experiences and Stories on Amazon. My friends and supporters are starting to come back to me because they’re having a problem writing reviews; Amazon is not letting them. There’s a pop up message about guidelines or something. I haven’t had time to look into this issue yet, but I will Thursday. If you would still like to write a review, I kindly suggest visiting the Barnes & Noble website instead and writing one there. Like I said, I don’t know what the issue is yet with Amazon so I’m not going to speculate. Thank you for trying, please don’t give up. Head over to Barnes & Noble.

Smorgasbord 2 Catch Up and Relish

It seems like it took forever, but Smorgasbord 2 Catch Up and Relish is near completion! What you see there on the left is the official front and back cover. I’m beyond excited for the release of this book, and I think you’re going to enjoy reading it. Fulton Books in Meadville, Pennsylvania is the publishing company.

Upcoming Projects: I’ve been working on Smorgasbord 3 for a few months now. I don’t want to give away too much too soon, but there will be a third book. The title will be Smorgasbord 3 Poverty & Prophecy, and it’s going to blow you away! Also, I’m thinking about having a Smorgasbord 2 release party somewhere. I will keep you updated and in-the-loop on that.

Well, it’s old news now, but the Rams beat the Bengals and won the Super Bowl! Super Bowl LVI (56) was played last Sunday, February 13th, and it was a close one. The Rams won the game by 3 points with a fourth quarter touchdown pass from Mathew Stafford to Coffee Cup? Oh wait, Copper Kupp. Sorry. 🤣🤣 Up until that point, the Bengals held a 20-16 lead that went all the way down to the wire. To be exact, there was 1:25 left to play when the Rams scored the go-ahead touchdown. Stafford completed 26 out of 40 passes for 283 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Ram’s rushing game was nowhere to be found; Cam Akers ran the ball 13 times for 21 yards and never even reached pay dirt.

Joe Burrow completed 22 passes for 263 yards and 1 touchdown. They were able to run the ball well with Joe Mixon (4.8 yards per carry), and WR Tee Higgins caught 4 passes for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns. In the end though, none of that mattered for the Bengals. On that day, the 13th of February in the year 2022, the Rams were the better team.

♒♓Wow! How fast did the Aquarius birthday season go? I mean seriously, in three more days on the 18th, the sun will move into the astrological sign of Pisces. Honestly, though, I can’t wait. I’m so ready for spring, and I know a lot of you are too. 🌔Currently, the moon is on the 20th degree of fiery Leo, and Venus and Mars are in a body to body conjunction on the 16th degree of Capricorn. Talk about war and peace, huh…

💥Speaking of war, according to Greek Reporter dot com, Russia is now withdrawing its troops from the Ukraine border. I guess they just wanted to get in Ukraine’s face and talk some shit?

💩Oh, BIG STORY here. Eminem kneeled during the half time show.

🏛 I just called the office of the registrar at my alma mater WPUNJ because I wanted some information about registration deadlines. Afterwards, I was scrolling the web, and a story popped up from 2014.

So, five William Paterson University students are or were on trial for the alleged gang rape of a freshman female. The alleged gang rape took place on campus and in a dorm on Tuesday, November 25, 2014.

The five men that were involved all knew each other from the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF), which offers low-income students an opportunity to go to college with financial aid, preparatory classes and counseling. (Wait a second, wasn’t there just a big issue recently about systemic racism? 😢😢Immigrants and people of color don’t get the same opportunities as white people?)

Well, these five guys (no relation to the restaurant) had a golden opportunity. I told you, all that was bullshit. I can’t speak for other states, but I know for a fact, that New Jersey’s system of higher education has done an amazing job ensuring everyone has a fair and equal opportunity to get educated.

Anyway, there was another incident, but I don’t think it was related. Cherelle Locklear, a 21-year-old junior at WPUNJ committed suicide and her body was found on November 22, 2015. Supposedly, she was raped at an off-campus fraternity house, and her allegations were never investigated. William Paterson University took blame for failing to investigate and paid her family $800,000.

Damn! This isn’t the William Paterson I remember. WTF WPU! Seriously though, this is a shame. I can’t believe it.

🤓I’m gonna drop some real knowledge on y’all. I was totally indoctrinated by the college educational system, and especially because I was a teacher. I believed everything. They used to tell us that inner-city school students are way behind because there’s no money to get them the tools they need to be successful and compete with schools in higher income areas. I was on board with everything-fighting for my students. I was so gung-ho.

And then I get into the classroom, and see students throwing scientific calculators worth hundreds of dollars at the floor and walls. Literally, trying to break them.

And I just sat there for a brief moment watching this, and to myself, I’m like, “wow, if you only knew how hard people fight to get you the shit you need, and here you are trying to break a calculator your parents would have to work two weeks to pay for.”

Case in point-Don’t believe the hype!

Second Case in point-In order for schools to be successful, the students have to be successful, and money has nothing to do with it. The best schools are those where parents, teachers, and administrators have found a middle ground-all coming together, working in unison for the betterment of the child. And of course, once the student sees this cooperation between teachers and parents, their behavior miraculously changes.

Alright my friends, have a wonderful night and a blessed Wednesday. Stay warm!
