Vietnam Caver-Up

August 2, 2024

Several days ago, I learned for the first time about Hang Son Doong in Vietnam. It was discovered by a local man searching for agarwood (also known as wood of the Gods and the wood they use to make incense) in 1991, who didn’t think much of it and returned home forgetting where the entrance was.

Conveniently, a British cave research team was exploring the area, and he mentioned to them what he had found. In 2008 and 2009, he was asked to lead an team back to the approximate location and attempt to once again, find the entrance.

In the documentary I just watched, they kept calling it a cave; cave, cave, cave-but after you research Hang Son Doong for yourself, you’ll quickly realize that this is more than a cave.

Calling it a cave seems like an obvious and deliberate attempt to caver-up (lmao cover up) the truth. And the truth?

Well, you called people crazy for talking about an inner earth. Research this place for yourself, and tell me what you think. Is it just a cave?

A cave? Really?
