December 13, 2023 Edition

Thank you for visiting Nooz Buffet, and welcome to this edition of Nooz Now. This story is one I find interesting, and most of the information come to us from an article published online on The Guardian.

On November 4, 2023, a man named Sergey Vladimirovich Ochigava, touched down at LAX, Los Angeles International Airport. Apparently, he was a Russian man who flew from Denmark to Los Angeles via Scandinavian Airlines flight 931 from Copenhagen.

This man had no plane ticket, no passport, and after a US Customs and Border Protection officer decided to check, there was no information of this man on any incoming flight information or the flight manifest itself. He was also in possession of both Russian and Israeli identification.

When US authorities asked him how he got through security in Europe, he told them he forgot.

Ochigava was charged with a federal crime, he pleaded not guilty, and his court date is coming up on December 26th.

Now, I’ve seen enough Jason Bourne movies to know something isn’t right here. An immigrant comes into the country, he’s undocumented, and has no real explanation for who he is or how he got through security. I don’t know, but this situation smells like government spy or assassin to me.
