Last week we really thought Texas A&M had what it took to upset the number one team in the country, Clemson, but Clemson didn’t allow that to happen. We did, however, give you Texas A&M getting 17.5 and they covered. This week we’ll look at Florida and Kentucky as our “Feature Game of the Week.”
This weekend, Saturday evening, September 14th at 7pm, the Florida Gators will play the Kentucky Wildcats. Kentucky is home.
During the first week of the season Florida won an in-state rivalry game against the Miami Hurricanes 24-20, and the Hurricanes are still seeking their first win. Last week Florida caught a favorable break in the schedule. Who’s Tenn-Martin? I don’t know, but Florida won 45-0. Florida is 2-0 and ranked 9th.
The Wildcats are 2-0 this season, averaging 38 points per game on offense. Their wins were against Toledo and East. Michigan, so this will officially be Kentucky’s first real test.
In my opinion, this game will be close, and as much as want to say Florida will win, I don’t think they will. I think the Wildcats will show up at home Saturday night, and shock the world with a hard fought home win against the Gators. After this week Kentucky will be 3-0 and we’ll see them in the Top 25.
