Good morning. Our Featured Game this weekend was Michigan versus Penn State. Penn State was home, and yes, they were 9 point favorites. We felt nine was way too much for a team like Penn State to be giving, and it was. The final score was 28-21 Penn State did win the game, but Michigan covered the spread. Table Seven is now 4-2-1 when it comes to the money. 💰💸💵🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.
It was a 7:30 kickoff last night for Michigan and Penn State, and when it was all said and done, Penn State won by a touchdown. The final score was 28-21, and the Wolverines left University Park with their second loss. They’re now 5-2. Penn State is 7-0! Yes, they’re still undefeated, and 1st in the Big 10 East.
Penn State jumped out to 21-0 lead, but Zach Carbonnet (15 Carries, 81 yards, and 2 touchdowns) broke off a 12 yard run for Michigan’s first score. It was 21-7 going into the locker room at halftime. Most of the the third quarter was a defensive struggle with Michigan’s RB Zach Charbonnet scoring once again with time winding down. It was 21-14, Penn State was winning.
Michigan never had the lead in this game as Penn State’s QB Sean Clifford opened up the fourth quarter with a 53 touchdown yard pass to KJ Hamler and Penn State was up by two touchdowns.
Late in the game, Michigan had a chance to bring the score even, but Ronnie Bell let a Shea Patterson pass slip through his hands in the end zone with 2:01 left to play.
Penn State QB Sean Clifford threw for 183 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also led the team with 17 yards rushing. KJ Hamler had 6 catches for 108 yards and touchdowns.
Michigan’s QB Shea Patterson threw for 276 yards, but he was picked off once, and he had zero touchdowns.
You have to give it to Penn State. They’re slowly rising to a level Coach Franklin began setting his sight on last season. After Illinois upset Wisconsin yesterday, it makes the fact that Penn State is undefeated that much more special. That’s two wins now, back to back, against two ranked opponents. They still have to play Minnesota and Ohio State, both teams are 7-0 right now, and a very good Michigan State team.
The last half of this season is going to be electric!
