Moon Scope; Moving Forward with New Moon Energy

October 11, 2026

Hello everyone!

I’ve been super busy lately with astrology readings, so much so, that my website here has been a little neglected. I do apologize about that.

So, the new moon actually turned yesterday in Libra, and it was the first new moon of the autumn season. This evening, we find the Moon in her crescent phase, waxing at 2% illumination, and on the 3rd degree of Scorpio in the Seventh House.

As this new lunar cycle begins, we can see that partnerships are in focus because the Moon is lighting up the Seventh House, and I think a great place to start this reading is with the square connecting the Moon to Mars in Leo in the Fifth House.

Leo, a fire sign, is great place for the energy of Mars to manifest, and in the Fifth House, we might see some type of aggression or violence in a realm that’s primarily meant to be fun. Well, if you’re wondering how this can be, then let us take games of chance as an example. You go to the casino, and you promise yourself that you’re only going to spend $100.

You’re in a great mood, spirits are high, and you’re hopeful that you’re going to win big, but after three hours of playing, your friends are trying to pull you off the table before you lose your shirt. A night that started out great, ends up in misery. Now you’re angry, and you’re lashing out because you just blew five grand.

The Fifth House doesn’t only rule games of chance, it rules everything thing we do for fun, fleeting pleasures (short-term pleasures), sex, having children, and artistic endeavors.

Leo is a highly emotional sign, and Mars holds a lot of ambition and leadership ability. If ever there was a combination that showed an individual highly motivated to seek recognition from any form of art, then Mars in Leo in the Fifth House is it, however, there’s a tricky part to this.

With Mars and Leo, you have the fire, you’re fueled by emotions, you have the ambition, you have the drive, and you have the desire to be recognized and stand out, but you also have the aggression. There’s a very thin line here when it comes to utilizing the energy manifesting through Mars in Leo because the Fifth House is ruled by Leo, which means it rules the heart. The Fifth House is the warm sunny house of Love.

When it comes to art, ambition and personal motivation is good, even if it’s fueled by emotions, but it must be about love-it must come from the heart. You can’t break your way into the Fifth House with violence and war on your mind and expect to truly be satisfied. Also, with the Moon in Scorpio, we must guard against acts of jealousy, and impulsive acts that stem from personal insecurities.

If your actions are sincere and genuine, and if you truly have love in your heart, then go for it. Don’t pursue creative outlets just because someone else is, and don’t lie to yourself. Art is personal.

The Moon is sensitive, responsive, emotional, and reactive. The square connecting the Moon in the Seventh House to Mars in the Fifth shows a lot of friction between the two heavenly bodies. There’s definitely a block, and there are definitely issues because the Moon is just not vibing with Mars right now. If you’re wondering why, well, I just explained it.

There’s a lot of mystery surrounding Scorpio, and the Moon here could indicate a desire to remain anonymous or behind the scenes, which really conflicts with one’s attempt to be noticed or famous. Also, the Moon is playing more of a read and react role in Scorpio in the Seventh House, so you’d be much better off to let someone else kick the door in and then you come in afterward to see what’s going on.

The conjunction connecting the Moon and Venus reveals that we’re feeling the love at the moment, especially when it comes to relationships. There’s something extremely beautiful that can come from the Fifth House right now, and the Moon doesn’t want Mars to ruin it.

When I really focus in on the Moon, I can see a situation where a person-a special person that we already know or just happen to meet at some point within the next few days presents us with a rare opportunity or inspires us in some way. If it’s an opportunity that’s on the table, then it’s really about your past. This person gives you an opportunity to revisit your past, and it’s only because the Universe knows that you can handle it now.

You see, some of us have doors that have been left open because we weren’t mature enough to close them, but this person, who might simply be someone for you to talk to, gives you a chance to state your side of the story and get some stuff off of your chest. They might even ask you if you want to hang out, and if they do then you’ll eerily take a trip down memory lane, but it’s not forever. Jupiter and the South Node in the Fifth House indicates an opportunity to grow and expand on something from the past or something left undone, and you must approach this situation from a higher authority now.

Whatever it is, you can handle it now, so do just that and move on. This could even be about you wanting to do something that you just never had a chance to do. When our hearts desire something that we for some reason don’t have a chance to pursue, then it leaves questions and doubts, and it’s those questions and doubts that can trigger the manifestation of Scorpio’s negativity years later but trust this-the universe never gives more than you can handle. So, don’t be so hard on yourself for something did or didn’t do years ago.

We are living in the now moment, and Capricorn at the top of the chart shows that great works are ahead. Sometimes, before we can move forward, we must take a step back, but you don’t want to make the same mistakes twice when you do. This is truly about grabbing on to this new moon energy, the first new moon energy of this season, and riding the wave forward, so don’t dwell too long.

I love this connection between the Moon in the Seventh House and Neptune in Aries in the Twelfth, and this will be a great way to wrap up this reading. Neptune represents many things, but for this reading, it’s about belief. Right now, as we move forward with the energy of this new lunar cycle, the astrology is telling us to have faith, to trust, and believe even when we can’t see or don’t have a clue as to what the outcome might be. It’s also telling us to trust in new beginnings, and fresh starts.
