Mars in Gemini

August 12, 2024

A lot of people don’t know this, but the planet Mars has two Moons. Asaph Hall was credited with their discovery in 1877, but I have a good feeling humans knew about them way before 1877. I mean, we’re told Pluto was discovered in 1930, but as I’ve learned, the Sumerians knew about Pluto and called it Gaga.

Anyway, the Moon’s are Phobos, meaning fear and panic, and Deimos meaning terror and dread.

In the Roman Pantheon, Mars was the God of War and the guardian of the Roman people. His parents are Jupiter and Juno, and his symbols are the spear and shield.

Right now, Mars is transiting Gemini, the mutable air sign of communications and union. During this transit, Mars will enable us to blaze new trails when it comes to making new relationships, and talking about what’s on our minds. You’ll notice that you might be more outgoing during this time, and that’s a perfect example of the planetary energy getting us out of our comfort zones.

Gemini’s are known to live in their heads, but Mars is going to get us out of our heads and back into the reality of the present moment.
