Moon Scope; New Moon Illuminates Seventh House

March 15, 2026 (Written today for the New Moon on the 18th)

The new moon occurring on the 18th was so darn close to Aries that I wanted to say we were going to have a new moon in Aries, but because each and every degree of the zodiac is so important, I had to respect where the moon actually was on the 18th instead of where it was going to be at midnight on the 19th.

Long story short, we have another lunar cycle beginning in Pisces, but this new lunar cycle is a special one because it falls in between the equilux (equal day and night) and the first day of spring.

At precisely 5:47 P.M. on Wednesday, March 18th, the Moon will be located ten degrees above the descendent on the 25th degree of Pisces in the Seventh House. Once again, the Seventh House of Relationships is illuminated, but doubly so now because the Sun is only two degrees away from the Moon on the 28th degree.

At the top of the chart, the Midheaven is set on the 13th degree of Gemini, which is the Orion Constellation. According to ancient mythological sources, Orion was a great lover and huntsman, but this placement of the Midheaven definitely makes the location of both the Sun and Moon more interesting because Gemini is about communication and union.

In general, relationships at the time of the New Moon are easygoing. This conjunction between the Sun and Moon as the spring season approaches symbolizes the sacred and beautiful union of masculine and feminine forces here on earth. There’s lots of deep conversation and back-and-forth banter as you and a loved one attempt to know one another.

Pisces is a super sensitive sign full of love and compassion, the thing is..

..sometimes, when the sign of Pisces is involved, that love and compassion is hidden or buried, and it needs to either be dug up or rediscovered. Considering the location of the Midheaven, the Sun and Moon, Scorpio in the Third House, and Aries occupying a portion of the Seventh House, many of us could be going through a period of renewal or making up. It’s possible that someone was unfaithful, but it doesn’t have to be about that.

When you’ve been with someone for a very long time, there could come a point when the seriousness of the relationship comes into question-especially if things have always been casual between you two.

It seems like we’re trying to convince one another that we can be trusted, and that yes, we are the one! With Scorpio in the Third House and Pluto in the Fifth House, this can be a time of accidental or unplanned pregnancies.

Pluto is the planet of Emotional Encountering, and through Pluto we have deep-emotional experiences that can truly rock us at our core. A great example of what I see in this chart is this;

You and your partner have been together for a while. You love one another, but within, you’re both still questioning if the other is the “one,” and because of this confusion, this indecisiveness, and this uncertainty, which by the way is totally Pisces, your relationship seems to be at a standstill. Then, all of a sudden, bam! She gets pregnant, and it was really unplanned, but now the Universe (with the help of Pluto) has put you guys in a situation where the elephant in the room must be addressed. Either you guys are going to stay together and raise the baby, or you are both going to go your separate ways.

But I have to tell you, Aries occupying a portion of the Seventh House of Relationships does favor a fresh start, and the Midheaven on the 13th degree of Gemini and the conjunction between the Sun and Moon indicates a sacred union. Yes, your partner is the one, you guys just needed a little nudge to take the next step together.

Wow! Powerful chart!

As we move up the chart a little bit in a counterclockwise direction, we find Chiron sitting in the Eighth House on the 24th degree of Aries. Chiron is the symbol that looks like a little key.

The Eighth House can be a place of extremes, and in terms of being overly self-sufficient, the Eighth House can without a doubt take us to places that are either counterproductive or hazardous to our health. The semisextile connecting the Moon in the Seventh House to Chiron in the Eighth offers an opportunity to heal a wound that’s been with us for a long time, and the wound represented by Chiron in Aries is often a difficult one to become conscious of because it’s in our nature to suppress the fact that we might be afraid, fearful of something, or lack courage.

All three of those things can cause us to overcompensate or to be overly self-sufficient so in this case specifically, it’s best to work backwards-identify the behavior and then connect it to a cause. At the end of the day, you’ll come to realize that you’re fundamentally right and you’re perfect just as you are.

It’s likely that the right partner can help you realize this, and now that I’m realizing this, the entire chart for the night of the new moon makes perfect sense.

The new moon in Pisces now helps us to understand the power of belief, especially when it comes to what we believe about ourselves.

Have a wonderful evening everyone, and I hope the start of spring brings you a renewal of creativity and a fresh perspective on things.

The Seventh House is illuminated by the new moon, but also, because Aries is there in the Seventh House as well, our circle of friends and business partners could be changing faster than we think. Some of us need this change, while others are uneasy at the thought of a fresh-new start, but just remember, the Universe is a well-oiled machine.

The timing is perfect.
