It was a team from Michigan last week that we rode to victory. That team was the Wolverines, and with that win, we improved our record to 3-1-1 versus the spread. This week, it might be that other team from Michigan that takes us to 4-1-1. It’s NCAA College Football Week 7, and this is our Feature Game Analysis. 💲🔥🎊🏈💰
MICHIGAN STATE @ (8)WISCONSIN
This is an afternoon game, 3:30pm, Saturday, October 12th. Wisconsin is home and favored by 10.5. Up to this point, Wisconsin is another perfect Big 10 team. They’re 5-0 and had a huge win over ranked Michigan. In addition, they shut out South Florida, Central Michigan, and Kent State. In five games they’ve given up 29 points.
On paper, they look impressive, and currently, they hold the number eight ranking. Last Saturday, Michigan State lost 34-10 to Ohio State, who is arguably the best team in the country. Once again, we saw another display of what not to do when playing top teams like the Buckeyes, and by that I mean turning the ball over. Michigan State cannot turn the ball over this week. No fumbles, and no interceptions, and if they can accomplish that they’ll put themselves in a very good position to win this game in Camp Randall.
Arizona State is the other team Michigan State lost to. At the time, MIchigan State was ranked 18th, but to their credit, the Sun Devils came to play and won the game 10-7. Arizona State (4-1) is very good this year.
Badger QB Jack Coan is consistent and productive. He completed 85 passes out of 114 attempts, which means he completes about 75% of his passes. He has thrown for almost 1,000 yards and 7 touchdowns. Junior RB Jonathan Taylor is averaging 149 yards per game, and he has 12 touchdowns. Wisconsin definitely has balance on offense, and their defense is almost impossible to score on. Right now, sophomore linebacker Jack Sanborn is leading the team in tackles with 40, He also has three sacks.
Michigan State will not come out moping this weekend. Expect them to be prepared. They’ll be fired up and ready to play. Next week they have a bye, and then they host Penn State, and this bye couldn’t have come at a better time. They have no distractions, so if they can focus on Wisconsin and only Wisconsin, they can win. Will they? I don’t know. Can they? Yes, they can.
