The 1615 edition of the Geneva Bible was stolen from the Carnegie Library in Pittsburgh two decades ago, but it was finally recovered in April, 2019, from a Dutch museum.
Who was the culprit?
The archivist!
That’s right, a 62-year-old man named Gregory Priore, who was hired to look after the library’s expensive collection of books, maps, and other items, stole over $8 million dollars worth of stuff. He was an employee at the library for 20 years.
Just when you think you know a guy.
No white light for him when he dies….lol
