Hello everyone, and thank you for following N.B.
Today’s date is November 10, 2023, and while the Sun in still in the zodiac sign of Scorpio, this period of time is quite interesting from an astronomical perspective.
Astronomically, the Sun entered Libra on Halloween and it will remain there until November 22nd. Then, on the 23rd, it enters Scorpio for a period of seven days (11/23-11/29).
On the 30th of November, the Sun will enter the Snake Charmer or The Serpent Bearer, and it will remain there for 18 days until December 17th.
When we consider the actual position of the Sun, it hasn’t even reached Scorpio yet, and when it does, there’s a relatively small window of time that it will remain there. For years and years there has been a lot of talk about the dates of Ophiuchus, and part of the reason for why that is is because people born around this time are curious to know if there natal Sun is in the 13th sign.
I think, when it comes to astrology, the powers that be don’t want to mess with the perfection that’s already in place. Adding a 13th sign would definitely throw off the balance of 12, but I look at it this way, life isn’t perfect.
So, in case you’re wondering, your natal Sun definitely falls within the boundaries of Ophiuchus if you were born between 11/30 and 12/17.
Ophiuchus is a man, stargazers have drawn him to be a man holding a snake, which is where the name, Serpent Bearer comes from. Ophiuchus himself is a constellation, and the snake is another (Serpens). The snake, because it is kind of wrapped around the body of Ophiuchus, has actually been divided into two constellations, one representing the head and one representing the tail.
Personally, I find this a little confusing because the head of the snake comes from the Latin, Caput, and the tail comes from the Latin, Cauda, and in astrology, those are the same names we use to identify the head and the tail of the lunar nodes.
Oh, well.
Now, check this shit out. You can imitate Ophiuchus, exactly, which really turns out to be the pose of the famous Vitruvian Man. Constellation Ophiuchus is located at 15h, 45m, 00s. That means, if you stand facing the north or the 12 o’clock position, and put your arms out, your right hand or arm would be pointing to the 3 on the clock, and your left hand or arm would be pointing to the 9 or 45 minutes. That’s 3:45, and it’s military time so 15 would be 3 in the afternoon. And, the Serpent’s head is to the east, and the tail is to the west.
I’m going to do that today at 3:45 and see if anything happens.
