Harnessing the Power of First Harvest

It was Thursday, August 1st, and I was walking as per my usual morning routine. Obviously, it’s the summer, and it was hot outside.

My head was down, but a slight, a very slight breeze blew and my head lifted. I was suddenly alert and looking around.

And then, I decided to post this message to the N.B. Facebook page; “I know it’s summer, but I see and feel the fall.”

When the wind blew, mentally, it felt like an October day. Despite the heat and the obvious knowing that we’re in the middle of our summer, it felt and looked like a fall day to me. Today I just realized, and I can’t believe it, but Thursday, August 1st, it was Lughnasadh!

The astrology an hour ago literally shows the uniting of fire and water. The Moon was home in Cancer (water) on the 29th degree, and the Sun was home in Leo (fire) on the 11th degree.

According to Ann Moura’s book, Green Witchcraft, Lughnassadh, is a Sabbat, and the belief here is the God impregnates the Goddess with himself. It’s the feast of bread and time of transformation.

I’m paying extra close attention to my thoughts and what’s going on right now because I want to capitalize on this opportunity. If you can harness the power, then you should properly use the power, right? I think so.
