February 1, 2026
Hello, and good afternoon!
Today is the first day of February, and I’m like, what happened to January? Wow! That was fast. Anywho, I’m somewhat excited because my birthday is in six days. Yayy me.
So, this evening, the first day of the month of February will be celebrated with a big, bright, and beautiful moon that will obviously be 100% illuminated. We are now in the culmination phase of a lunar cycle that began back on the 18th of January when the new moon was in Aquarius.
Keep in mind, the Aquarius/Leo axis or polarity is about will-human will. Those of us who have any oppositional points in the natal chart involving these two signs are likely to feel this full moon in a special way. Those points could be the nodal axis, the ascendant/descendant axis, or the MC/IC axis.
Currently, the Moon is on the 9th degree of Leo in the Fourth House, which puts our nighttime luminary in opposition the Tenth House Aquarian Sun. There’s actually a lot of activity in Aquarius right now (Mercury, Venus, Sun, Mars, Astraea, Pluto), and I think this is a good sign for all Aquarians. I feel like the rebel of our zodiac has endured so much during the past ten or fifteen years, but there finally seems to be some light at the end the tunnel. If that’s the case, give yourself a pat on the back. It’s because you never gave up, and that my friends, is called will power.
In astrology, the Moon represents our general mood, our feelings, and how we react or respond to things. The Moon is methodical and calculative.
The Sun is the provider of warmth, light, and life. Imagine that you’re a Sun. You have full control over who you give your light and warmth to by who and what you decide to focus on and give your attention to.
You have full control over what and who you give life to, right? As the saying goes, “Out of sight, out of mind.”
Some people, some projects, and some things in general are just not worth our attention or our focus anymore. At the time of this full moon, we’re getting a real good look at the things that are draining us of time, energy, and personal resources. We’re figuring out what’s important to us and what truly matters.
With the Moon lighting up the Fourth House, the Sun lighting up the Tenth, and both luminaries in opposition to one another, there might be a need for some of us to balance our public and private lives. In terms of balance, you have to be honest with yourself.
Some people work eight, nine, or ten hours per day, and then they go home and they take their work with them. Some people work seven days per week and have two jobs. If you’re single and you’re not married and don’t have children, then I guess this type of schedule is okay, but you do need to disconnect and relax to prevent burnout.
If you are married or in a relationship and you have children, then again, you need to be honest with yourself about your time and how it’s being spent.
Leo is a glamourous sign. Leo loves the spotlight, and Leo loves being on stage. The lion is prideful and egotistical, and the Lion gets noticed. That’s just the way it is, but interestingly enough, because Leo is in the Fourth House, that’s where the majority of our attention and focus is right now. We may not want it that way, but we don’t seem to have any control over it at this time.
There’s a natural desire for some of us to want to be out and about, to grow and expand, to want to work more, and to just want to be in public eye all the time, but matters of the Fourth House are calling us home. These are matters of the heart so deal with them and resolve them with love.
A semi-sextile connecting the Moon to the South Node in Virgo in the Fifth House, might have us feeling a little nostalgic. We might even find ourselves dwelling on the past or how things used to be.
Relax, and bring out the good wine! There’s nothing wrong with reminiscing and laughing about things that have gone on over the years as long as you’re over it all, however, it’s in your best interest to keep your thoughts progressive.
This semi-sextile appears to be giving us a second chance, a chance to make good on something, or an opportunity to revisit something we overlooked or forget about. Virgo is providing clues for how to go about this so pay attention.
Remain patient and gather whatever materials you might need. You’re gathering facts and seeking truths. You can really make things better this time, and while you thought the Fourth House was going to limit Leo’s expansiveness, this really turns out to be that you’re taking a minor step backwards to make one giant leap forward.
Happy Birthday Aquarius!
