Moon Scope; The Quality of Virgo

September 14, 2023 Edition

Welcome to the September 14, 2023, edition of Moon Scope, and thank you for visiting Nooz Buffet.

In three more days, on Thursday, the 14th, we get a new moon in the astrological sign of Virgo. At the same time, the Sun should be crossing over into the last 10 degrees of his transit through the same sign.

With a brand-new and fresh moon cycle beginning in Virgo, we receive not only a new start but a new start with a bit of uniqueness to it.

My intuition reveals a current scenario where someone is trying to achieve something, trying to make something work or trying to do something the “right way.”

I see a continuous effort being made, and the wonderful thing about the new moon phase starting in Virgo is that it blesses us with the tools to make things better, or exactly how we want or think they should be.

Virgo is a sign of the time. It’s telling us exactly how to navigate through this cycle of time in our lives, and when it comes to crossing your t’s and dotting your i’s, Virgo is the best placement.

The interesting thing here is that Virgo is the sign of perfection, however, we as humans aren’t perfect, and we don’t live in a perfect world. We’ll, that’s what we’re told, and if that’s true, then perfection as it relates to other people and places, may in fact, be an unreachable ideal. The key phrase being, “as it involves other people and places.”

Virgo, partially because it’s an earth sign, is not supportive of abundance or expansion, which makes sense because the more we add on and branch out, the more we realize the need to let go because we can’t control every little thing.

But, just like beauty is in the eye of the beholder, perfection, as it applies to you personally, becomes reachable. The world might be imperfect, but your world doesn’t have to be.

Some of us might not have a choice now when it comes to change, meaning the end of something soon only to begin again might happen despite our efforts to prevent it. We might not be able to preserve or extend the life of something because it’s out of our control.

A house, for example, might continue to crumble over and over again until we figure out the secret to an indestructible foundation. Why do you think every empire in human existence that rose to power eventually crumbled and fell?

The clock-time itself is a test. Things that aren’t real, natural, true, or created with sincerity will not last. They won’t stand the test of time, and believe me, time will not hesitate to show us this lesson over and over until things are done the “right way.”

The advice I’m giving for this new moon is to start small. Pick up whatever pieces the last moon cycle left you with, and move forward. Research, gathering information, and truth are highly favored now.

Virgo is mutable earth, which should be a reminder that the way through this time is with an open mind. Listen more instead of talking and sort of feel your way through.

I never had a lot of friends because I never wanted a lot of friends. I didn’t want to be around fake, pretentious people. I’d rather have a small group of 5 people who I know are good and who I know will be there when I need them the most.

It’s quality over quantity.

Thanks again for visiting Nooz Buffet, and I’ll see you all at the next full moon.

Mars Conjunct the Midheaven

There’s an interesting alignment right now, and I’m definitely feeling it. We have Mars in a tight conjunction with the midheaven at the top of the chart. This conjunction is in the astrological sign of Libra, and so, there’s this feeling or this manifestation of energy that’s pushing us to fight, to take aggressive action, and to pursue with spirit the harmony and the balance owed to us as it relates to our careers and our reputation with the public.

This push is for us not to give up. Continue asking questions, continue speaking up for yourself and stating what you feel like you deserve, and continue speaking your truth.

I see Aries in the 4th House right now, and Pluto in Capricorn in the 2nd House is in trine with Mars. The 2nd House is the house governing possessions and money, and Pluto in Capricorn there indicates we’re definitely encountering emotions connected to the money we make or need, the possessions we have-don’t have-or are losing, and our careers.

Pluto’s trine to Mars shows a good relationship between the two heavenly bodies, meaning the aggressive and spirited approach of Mars is the answer to this current situation.

I’m not in any way condoning violence or telling people to fight, however, balance and harmony are on the line as we’re lacking basic possessions and necessities of life. Sometimes while we’re in pursuit of what we want out of life, we ruffle feathers, but that’s nothing to feel guilty about.

The pressure felt here is coming from the need to get out of the house if you live at home with your parents, and moving on with your life, but how are you supposed to do that if you’re being pushed aside, dismissed, ignored, and not taken seriously when it comes time for you to earn money?

We laugh things off and we give a little, and suddenly, we find ourselves in a position where we’ve been getting played and taken advantage of. This chart is showing the classic situation of one’s kindness being taken for weakness.

Take this personally. It’s time to be more assertive, and it’s time to go after what belongs to you. Life isn’t easy, and not everyone you meet is going to like you, but you have just as much of a right to earn a paycheck and work in an environment that’s safe and supportive of you as everyone else.

You’ve been pushed into a corner, and you have nothing-no money, and no possessions. Not only that, but people are now making up stories about you and attempting to destroy your reputation because you’re not around to defend yourself.

The mode right now is survival. It’s serious. Regain control, and pursue one issue at a time.

7th House Illuminated by Powerful Conjunction

Hello everyone!

I hope you’re all having a wonderful day. The Sun is now on the 13th degree of Virgo, which means it’s almost halfway through its transit of the Virgin. Wow, that was fast. So, Mercury, the planet of communication and travel, is also in Virgo at the moment on the 14th degree.

This alignment between the Sun and Mercury is called a conjunction, and the degrees of separation vary with astrologers, but personally, I feel like the energy of two planets combined can hold power up until about 8 degrees. With 1 degree separating Mercury and the Sun, I’d say this connection is pretty potent.

Now, because Mercury, the Messenger of the Gods, is the ruling planet of Virgo, he’s home. Whenever a planet is in the sign it rules, its comfortable. I guess you could compare it to your favorite sports team playing at home versus on the road.

Both planets are in Virgo in the 7th House, and the 7th House is the area of the chart where the energies can manifest into the areas of our lives involving partnerships, marriages, contracts, and open enemies. Open enemies means those we’re familiar with, and these people are usually competitors.

Virgo is very technical and precise, so, as we begin to analyze the Sun/Mercury conjunction in this sign in the 7th House, we must focus our attention on the day to day mind. A lot of people don’t know this, but Mercury represents our everyday mind, not the subconscious mind.

There’s a huge boost coming our way involving precise communication. If you’re about to sign a contract of any type, make sure you read over all the details before signing. This could also be a lease for a rental, or any type of written agreement involving the transfer or the borrowing of goods or possessions.

For those couples who are engaged to be married, now is the perfect time to open up a conversation and discuss the details of your special day.

If you’re dating, and things are getting serious between the two of you, now is the time to speak to your partner about what you want and what you expect moving forward.

Virgo is also very analytical, industrious, and detail oriented. There could be lot’s of conversations involving details on how to be better or how to make things better or improve. If you’re on the brink of success or close to achieving personal goals, now is the time to fine tune things.

It’s definitely time to get rid of everything no longer serving a purpose and whatever is holding you back. Take this time to study the board in front of you, and gather the information you need.

Preparation and planning is the key, and when that moment arrives where you need to speak, write, compete, or make that presentation, you’ll not only be ready, but you’ll have the edge over your competition.

A conjunction between Mercury and the Sun in Virgo gives us exactly what we need to regain our edge.

Blue Moon Scope

August 30, 2023 Edition

Friends, Fans, and Followers..

Thank you for visiting N.B. and welcome to the August 30, 2023 edition of Moon Scope.

Wow, so, there’s a lot going on with this lunar cycle, but we’ll start with the Blue Moon. There was a phrase people used to say, and I can remember my grandmother specifically saying it. Instead of saying, once in a while, she would say, “Once in a blue moon.” It was another way of saying something barely happens, or rarely happens.

As far as astrology or astronomy is concerned, a blue moon is the second full moon in a month. It’s rare that we have two full moons in the same month, and it won’t be until May of 2026 that it will happen again.

Is it really rare though?

Well, our calendar, which is also called the Julian calendar, is based on the solar cycle (365.25 days per year). We have 12 months, and each month typically has one new moon and one full moon, so, it’s rare and kind of a big deal when that extra full moon shows up. However, a lunar calendar has 13 months, so naturally, it’s accounted for.

Anyways, the Moon won’t be turning blue tomorrow night.

If you remember, this moon cycle began in Leo on the 16th of this month. I published a post titled, Dear God, I wrote it on the night of the new moon, and if you want, you can go back and read it.

The current moon cycle culminates tomorrow night in Pisces-a blue full moon in Pisces. The Moon represents the subconscious mind, and since it’s in Pisces, we could experience thoughts pertaining to mental institutions, prisons, rehab centers, and karmic justice.

The new moon in Leo gave us a fresh start and an opportunity to create a new life for ourselves, and if you took advantage of that energy, this culmination should provide some major revelations. As much as it hurts, we sometimes need to let go. Perhaps, we tried to kick a bad habit ourselves, and it didn’t work. So, you come to grips with the reality of your situation and respond with, “I tried. I need help, and I’m going into a rehabilitation facility.”

Maybe there’s someone in your family, or a friend of yours who’s a habitual law breaker. He/she might be a criminal, and you as the parent or the close friend, have been downplaying their situation and covering for that person. Sometimes, it’s the loss of freedom that wakes people up to turn their lives around.

Pisces is the natural ruler of the 12th House, and the 12th House is full of mystery. It’s the end of the road (wheel) and it deals with issues involving karma, the law of return, and cause and effect.

Here’s a great example. I caught chickenpox when I was in kindergarten. Now, here I am, it’s almost 40 years later and I just had an outbreak of shingles last week. I had know idea shingles lies dormant in your body once you catch chickenpox. It’s cause and affect. Anyway, I’m feeling better, kind of, but that’s a great example.

Intuition and spirituality are definitely highlighted now because the sign is Pisces and Pisces is a water sign. Pisces is also mutable, which means we are going to be more open minded and more receptive than usual.

Suddenly, we gain the ability of being molded by the energy of our environment, if that’s what we chose to do. As the saying goes, when in Rome, do as the Romans do. It’s not a time for confrontation or conflict. Ride the waves and let your intuition guide the way forward.

2 and 6 are the luck numbers.

Breaking News! Soul Alignment

I wrote about this briefly on Twitter last month, but it’s still going on, so, I’m going to share it with all of you.

The picture to the right is from Chiron, a book written by Barbara Hand Clow. If you look at the top of this pyramid, you’ll see the outer planets capping off the soul level of human maturation or development. Neptune is in the middle, Pluto is to the right, and Uranus on the left. This is the peak of human consciousness.

The picture below is the current astrological alignment represented in the Chart of the Moment given to us by Astro dot com.

I rotated this image so you could see what’s staring us all in the face. You can see Neptune in Pisces at the top of the triangle, Pluto is to the right in Capricorn, and Uranus is to the right in Taurus. So, this alignment, represents the peak of human consciousness, and it’s the outer planets capping off the soul level of human maturation development.

Some of us will see it immediately, and some of us will have to stare at the image for a bit, but eventually, what should appear to you (if you’re ready to see it) is a 3-dimensional triangle with the energetic aspect lines connecting the planets shooting into the triangle, representing the crown, or top of our heads, and down to Mercury and Mars in Virgo and Libra.

Can you see that?

It’s a great time to meditate, and it should be a great time to heal and ask for answers to questions that we normally wouldn’t receive. Notice how Mercury and Mars are at the bottom, which definitely puts them in opposition to Neptune.

Are we being asked to chose between our violent warring selves and our spiritual development or higher selves? I think so, because we’re way overdue for this change. Clow wrote about this in her book, Mayan Code.

The picture on the right is from her book, Mayan Code, and it shows that our evolutionary genetic strain for aggressive man went into extinction in 2011! The “Peaceful Man” is what’s going to survive on. This is why there’s so much manipulation behind war and fighting, it’s always fueled by something, and that’s because as a species, we’ve moved beyond violence. If you’re like me, and you just can’t be around certain people anymore, or certain attitudes, or certain behavior, don’t fight it. Don’t be afraid to let go and follow the guidance.

Wow, I guess Alister Crowley (featured image) doesn’t look so ridiculous now does he?

I got that picture from:

That Time of the Year Already?

Sun in Virgo

Astrologically speaking, Mr. Sunshine has officially began his transit of Virgo. I checked several hours ago, and the Sun was on the zero degree of the Starry Maiden. I just love the fall, and a lot of time traveling can be done between September and November, but that my friends, you did not hear from me.

The Sun is our force for life and creation, for without it, life would not exist.

Astronomically, the sun spends 45 days in Virgo, but astrologically, the sun is there for about 30 days. Naturally, the 6th House is Virgo’s domain, and the energy there manifests into the areas of health, wealth, work, and service. Health of of great important here because the 6th House focuses more so on service-those we serve, and those who serve us. Without our health, we’re limited and ultimately, service is affected.

Today, Mercury, the planet of communication, commerce, and the fast mental energy associated with everyday decision making is the ruler of Virgo. Now, there’s some controversy surrounding this, but even so, we’d be doing ourselves a major disservice if we didn’t act like Virgo and gather as much information as we could about Mercury’s identity.

Mercury was a a Roman God in the Roman Pantheon. Mercury incarnated was known as “The Good Shepard,” but Mercury the God, acted as a guide for souls during the afterlife. The God ruled over things like communication and commerce, divination, messages, finance, travelers, luck, and trickery.

As we trace Mercury’s origin, we find that the Greeks called him Hermes, and the Egyptians called him Thoth.

Personally, if the astrological sign of Virgo was given to the Goddess Astraea, I don’t know why Virgo wouldn’t be ruled the asteroid, 5 Astraea, thus, allowing Mercury to become the ruler of only Gemini. Perhaps, I will incorporate Astraea into my readings and see how that works, but, so we’re all on the same page, we’ll continue using Mercury.

Virgo is feminine earth, mutable and sensual. Those who were born when the Sun was in Virgo will display the qualities of Virgo most prominently, but Virgo qualities will also be highly noticeable in the personalities of those who have Virgo on the ascendant.

Virgo is know as the perfectionist, which is why you’ll sometimes hear people call her the technician. It’s a very conscientious sign, and Sun/Virgo people strive to do what’s right. When it comes to work, they are very thorough, but modest and humble. Virgo isn’t the bragging type, she like to let her work speak for itself.

She’s reserved and modest and doesn’t view herself as better.

When I was in school, the school year always began when the Sun was in Virgo, which in hindsight, is interesting because Virgo loves reading and gathering facts, as a matter of fact, the personality type is more of a detective. They love gathering facts to look for truth. The truth is super-important to Virgo. Virgo is well organized and she understands the importance of planning time.

Happy Birthday to all the unique individuals who were born during the sun’s transit of Virgo!

Virgo 8/22-9/21

Golden Secret

You know, I was going to keep this to myself because, after-all, I can’t divulge all my great secrets.

But, what the hell. If nothing else, this will help you, and you’ll get a glimpse into how deep my mind gets when it comes to astrology.

So, if someone wants you you to interpret their birth chart and they don’t know what time they were born, you can use the constellation coordinates for their moon placement.

Example: I was born at 3:52 PM, but if I didn’t know that..

My moon is on the 2nd degree of Scorpio, in the constellation Serpens. The coordinates for Serpens is, 15h, 45m, 00s. So, I would use 3:45 PM for my birth time, which happens to only be 7 minutes off.

Interception! But We Won’t be Running This One Back For a TD..

This topic concerning the interception in astrology was given life by a conversation started by a friend of mine, author and astrologer, Bernie Ashman. In 2018, he wrote an online article covering the topic, and to be honest, I never heard of the “interception” until this conversation several days ago.

I was definitely intrigued, and more so when I recognized one in my own chart.

So, let me explain, and expand a little bit.

An interception, first of all, can only occur in certain house systems, specifically those where the size of the houses vary in degrees. For example, if you use astro.com, and you run a birth chart analysis using the geocentric model with the tropical zodiac and the default house system, you’ll see that certain houses are larger than others.

Okay, so, a sign only represents a 30-degree portion of the 360-degree circle, therefore, a 30-degree sign can be engulfed in a house that’s larger than 30-degrees in size.

And, that’s what an interception is-it’s when a sign is completely engulfed in a house.

In my chart, for example, the Gemini/Sagittarius axis is intercepted. My 12th House cusp is 0 degree 36 Cancer, and my 11th House cusp is Taurus 23 degrees-well, in between Taurus and Cancer is the sign Gemini. Gemini is intercepted in the 11th House, and its polar opposite, Sagittarius, is intercepted in the 5th House.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Wow, so, follow this..it means that energy that’s intercepted in unavailable to you, and in a sense, blocked.

Imagine this; Imagine yourself in the center of your birth chart. Your belly button is the dead center point. Your belly button is the spot where all the house spokes emanate from.

All the energy in your chart travels along the house cusp lines straight into your belly button, but the signs that are engulfed in a particular house, have no access to the cusp line.

So, for me, the Gemini energy is stuck in the future (11th House), and the Sagittarius energy is stuck in the house of creation (5th House). Therefore, for me, there’s a block that’s preventing me from pulling what I need down from the 11th House and bringing it into the 5th House.

In the heliocentric version of my chart, the earth is on the 18th degree of Leo in the 5th House, so this is about the manifestation of heaven on earth. This is about the energy I need to bring the hopes, dreams, and wishes of the 11th House, down into the 5th House-to integrate them and create a pleasurable life for myself.

For everyone else, including myself, don’t panic and don’t worry about this. They said that energy is unavailable to us because that’s the way it’s supposed to be. We would be incapable of living our best lives if we had access to that energy, so consider it a blessing instead of a curse.

Look at your charts, and see if you have signs intercepted!

Here’s the crazy part.

What if you have planets in those intercepted signs? Is the energy of that planet unavailable as well? Unfortunately, for me, I have a Neptune conjunction with the Galactic Center in Sagittarius, and a bunch of stars in both Gemini and Sagittarius that have lead me all the way back to the Persian Empire!

Alexander the Great wasn’t so great..

I think I Just Woke Up the Aquarian in Me!

I’m sitting here at my desk going down the long list of books I would like to have one day, and for the heck of it, I decided to search for books written about Sedna (Mythological, astronomical, or astrological).

It was surprising to see that a book was written about Sedna going as far back as 1984, and there have been many others written over the years, and I say surprising because I just discovered Sedna on my own last year when I saw it pop up as a planetary option in the astrological birth chart section on astro dot com.

It’s kind of like that Rick and Morty episode when Rick says, “You know the worst thing about inventing teleportation? Suddenly, you’re able to travel the whole galaxy, and the first thing you learn is, you’re the last guy to invent teleportation.”

Wow, so, the real question is where have I been, because people have been writing about Sedna since 1984, but here’s the crazy part.

They say don’t judge a book by its cover, but there was a book on Amazon’s list titled, Sedna Estimulador e Multiplicador de Consciencias. On the cover of this book was a double helix DNA structure under the water.

I got excited, because in the Numerology System I created, Oculus 13, the numerology for Sedna was 6,5,4,1,1. The last three letters had the numerical values of 411-that’s the old telephone code for information-and DNA is information.

I wanted to buy the book after I saw that, but I couldn’t buy it because it was only written in Portuguese! My left shin, the part of the body ruled by Aquarius began to tingle.

“Language is such a barrier,” I said to myself. How much further advanced would we be if we had immediate and total access to people in other countries who spoke and wrote in different languages?

And, the tingling subsided..

Moon Scope; It Begins in the Sign of the Lion

August 15, 2023 Edition

Thank you for visiting N.B., and welcome to the August 15, 2023 edition of Moon Scope!

Leo is a creative sign, and it’s the sign of Leadership. There’s a proudness and regal nature about the Lion, and it was said once that Leo would rather be the kingpin of small group than a follower of large one.

The new moon tomorrow brings a fresh start with it, which I feel, is exactly what we need right now. It’s the middle of August, the summer is beginning to wind down, and there’s about 138 days left in the year.

In the grand scheme of things, I think we received all the information necessary at the time of the last full moon, which was on the night of August 1st. In Leo now, the reflective and reactive moon takes in the emotions dealing with love and creativity and leadership.

Let’s not forget that Leo is expansive, that means it covers a lot of space. However the Moon choses to react here, the arena will be open to great distances and heights. That could be the top of the corporate ladder, that could mean starting your own business, or it could mean traveling to new territories. Think expansive, think branching out, and think bigger.

I feel like the mood right now is light hearted and fun, and that’s what the creative in us needs to blossom.

Let’s talk about the Moon for a second. In ancient Greek mythology and religion, Artemis, as the personification of the Moon, was known as the Goddess of the hunt, nature, wild life, and wild animals. In an emotionally charged fire sign like Leo, it wouldn’t be surprising if the sacred feminine in all of us decides to embrace the hunt. It’s a hunt for a better life, a hunt for fun and enjoyment, and a hunt for all the things our lives are lacking right now.

Either way, I don’t think there could be a better sign to have a new moon in at this moment, and we should learn to trust in the divine timing of things.
