Summer’s End

Tonight, I conducted a basic ceremony. I decided to shuffle the deck of cards and take the top five cards in order and place one at each of the cardinal points and one in the center; the first card goes north, the second goes east, the third south, the fourth goes west, and the fifth card in the center.

It was interesting to see the top four cards after I shuffled the deck, and I shuffled it pretty good, were all Clubs. Clubs is the summer suit! And, the diamond you see in the center represents the spring season.

That was a real farewell to the summer season, and each card left us with something. The Jack of Clubs was triviality and vision, the 9 was transcending negativity, 3 was faith, and the 2 of Clubs was fear to cooperate. In the center, the Jack of Diamonds means recognition of spiritual power.

As we stand here waving goodbye to our summer sun, we do so a little wiser, a little more knowledgeable, and a little more faithful. We head into this fall with full awareness of the power we hold, the energy we have, and the shortcomings we need to work on. Cooperation is one.

Remember, the most important law of all is the law of cause and effect. And not only that, but remember that your mind is powerful. Don’t get scared when you finally realize your world is an outward manifestation of what’s inside you. You’re not going crazy, it’s just that they don’t talk about this stuff on the evening news, and because they don’t, some people think they’re weird or going crazy, but you’re not. You’re just way ahead of the times.

I wish everyone a happy, joyful, and warm-loving fall season. Personally, I hope the most beautiful and spiritually inclined woman in the world falls in love with me, and I go from being the poorest guy in town to the wealthiest.

Keeping the Sabbat Holy

Tomorrow is Mabon. Some people refer to it as the fall or autumn equinox, and it’s really just the changing of the seasons from summer to fall. As far as the calendar is concerned, I think the official first day of fall is this Saturday, the 23rd, but generally, the first day of fall is usually celebrated between the 21st and 23rd.

From our perspective here in the northern hemisphere, the sun is directly over the equator giving equal sunlight to both the northern and southern hemispheres. Winter is the next season for us, so this is actually a time of departure.

The Sun is crossing over the celestial equator heading south, which is why it gets cold up here in the north during the winter. At the time of the spring equinox, the sun is once again over the equator giving equal sunlight to both the northern and southern hemispheres. The sun crosses paths with the celestial equator and heads north for spring and the rebirth of life.

We celebrate this time with brown and cinnamon candles gourds, pumpkins, and the wonderful shades of orange, green, reds, and browns.

I always loved the fall, it’s a time that will forever remind me of the beginning of the school year, football season, Halloween, and Thanksgiving.

Have a blessed day, and I hope your harvest is abundant.

As the Seasons Change and Time Moves Forward, We Move With it

When I registered with WordPress in 2018, I had no idea it was the first day of Fall. Every year now, in the month of September, we celebrate both. It’s hard to believe, but yesterday was our 3-year anniversary. I’d like to thank all of our readers, followers, and fans; we love you and appreciate your support.

Today is September 23rd, which means in seven more days 2021 will be 75% or three quarters done. It’s basic math-twelve months in year are broken down into 3-month quarters.

Yesterday, the 22nd, was the first official day of Fall. According to the craft, the autumn equinox (first day of Fall) is the time when the God prepares to leave and the Goddess rests. Today, this day is celebrated as Thanksgiving. The Pilgrims celebrated it September, but in the nineteenth century, it was changed to November by Abraham Lincoln.
