Moon Scope: Capricorn Hosts the First New Moon of 2026

January 18, 2026

For a very long time, we've been feeling this way:

We're standing outside, and we're holding a very heavy object over our heads. At first, things were great and it was easy to do, but as time went on, we got tired. Our legs and arms began to shake, and for the very first time, doubt was the overwhelming feeling. We were clearly struggling and we needed help, but for some reason, we were invisible to the people in the world around us. Every day, they walked past us laughing and conversing with one another-never once looking in our direction.
While we struggled to keep this heavy object over our heads, which by the way had eventually brought us down to one knee, the people around us never got involved. So, we accepted our fate. "This object is going to crush me, and no one even cares."

Then, one day, two people decided to stop. "Hey, let us give you a hand with that," they said.

Good morning! Well, it’s Sunday, January 18th and the ground here in the eastern United States is covered with snow. Ah yes, it’s the winter and Capricorn, which is where this current lunar cycle begins anew, happens to be one of three winter signs.

So, this evening at approximately four o’clock, the Moon will be on the 29th degree of Capricorn in the Seventh House. There’s actually a lot going on there in the Seventh House, and it’s kind of a cluster “you know what” as the moon shifts into a conjunction with the Sun, Mercury, Mars, Venus, Pluto, and the Goddess Astraea.

That’s lot of energy concentrated in a relatively small area because if you look at the chart, you can see that all of those planets are between the 26th degree of Capricorn and the 3rd degree of Aquarius. Without a doubt, the first new moon of 2026 is going to be a powerful one.

The new moon is obviously a time of new beginnings, but to say the same thing in a little bit of a different way, it’s a great time to start something whether it’s something completely new or something you’ve been putting off for whatever reason. The new moon is an excellent time to meditate, and from a ritualistic standpoint, remember, intent is everything.

The best way to start fresh is through honesty and being truthful. I can’t think of a better way to begin something than by laying all the cards out on the table, and it’s quite possible that this has everything to do with us personally. Sometimes, we need to be honest with ourselves.

In the Seventh House of Partnerships, the Moon is getting a lot of resistance from Jupiter in Cancer in the Twelfth House, and there’s both a good side and a bad side to what I’m seeing here. The bad side is that our relationships, whether they’re personal or business, are blocked from the type of abundance, growth, and luck that only the King of the Gods can offer us, but that’s okay. Some things just aren’t meant to be.

The good side to this is that we’re in the driver seat and in full control over what transpires during the next two weeks. The Crab that symbolizes Cancer has a tendency to retreat and hide when facing danger or uncertain situations, so I must ask; when it comes to partnerships or relationships in general, are you playing it safe? Humans love comfort, and sometimes, we’ll do anything to preserve and maintain our comfort zones, even if it means retreating and hiding.

It’s a brand-new new year and a new lunar cycle is beginning now, the very first of the new year as a matter of fact, and the Universe is presenting us with an opportunity that we haven’t had in a very long time-some of us never. If you’re willing to step out of the shadows, if you’re willing to leave comfort and safety behind, and if you’re brave and confident enough to face the world as you are right now then you can step in flow with the energy of Universe.

There aren’t too many people who are capable understanding that concept, but life on this planet in this galaxy and in this universe, well, it’s like a cosmic dance and mastery over yourself and the world around you allows you to move in rhythm.

Now, as you begin to lay those cards out on the table and become honest with yourself, you’re going to realize that you have boundaries. Not all authority is good authority, and you don’t have to accept the unacceptable. Through the confidence you have in yourself, and perhaps, the security and support you have from another person, you now have the courage to refuse. Your refusal to comply with something finally balances the scales.

This is wonderful, but you might see it another way. You might think you’ve ruined something or that you’re going to be in a far worse situation. You’re going to question yourself and you might even accuse someone close to you for ruining your life. For a brief time, you’re going to wish you retreated, played it safe, and remained in the shadows, but you couldn’t be further from the truth.

The Moon’s sextile to the Midheaven on the 2nd degree of Aries, which is also where the Asteroid Goddess Hebe is located, reveals proof of an invigorating, lively, and almost youthful feeling that we haven’t felt since we were kids or in the prime of our lives! Through the ancient Greek Goddess, Hebe, we almost feel like breaking down and crying tears of joy, because my friends, the Universe has finally softened up, and it’s showing forgiveness and mercy.

It’s okay to show emotions, and it’s okay to cry. You’re going to want to show some appreciation and express gratitude, but it’s all you. You’re discipline, your determination, and your ability to maintain consistency is what got you to this point. You never gave up.

During the next two weeks, patience wins out. Be present and be in the moment for every conversation you have. That not only helps you, but it also helps the person you’re talking to as well.

Capricorn is the sign of prudence, and since the new moon is so close to the Aquarius border, we must guard against aloofness and unpredictability.

Now’s not the time to go rouge, and despite how tempting it may be, rebelliousness is not the way forward. You’re a good person, and the people around you are starting to see that. It’s been a long time coming, but act like you’ve been there before (if that’s possible).

The dark side of the Capricorn Moon can manifest as pessimism, but the sextile connecting the Moon to the Midheaven requires total peace and optimism. If you feel yourself becoming opinionated and petty, take a step back and regroup. You got this.

The first new moon of 2026 is illuminating the astrological Seventh House of Partnerships and Relationships, and that’s where our focus will be until the 1st of February. This could mean marriage, the signing of contracts, competition in business, friendships, and love affairs. This is about reinforcing the good connections we already have and letting go of those that no longer work for us. People grow apart; it’s just the way life is.

There’s something to be said about the company we keep, and it looks as if the Universe is giving us every opportunity to begin 2026 in strong and supportive relationships with people who truly care about us.

Have a wonderful day!

Moon Scope; Rare, Second New Moon in Sagittarius

December 14, 2025

Written on Sunday, December 14th for the New Moon on December 19th.

Hello, and thank you for visiting Nooz Buffet.

This is rare. Last year, I just started tracking how the Moon, in its cycles, moves through the zodiac, and this is the first time that we have back-to-back new moons occurring in the same sign. On November 20th, we had a new moon in Sagittarius, and on December 19th, another lunar cycle will begin in the sign of the Archer.

Usually, 99% of the time, new moons occur in succeeding signs. So, if we have a new moon in Cancer, the next new moon will be in Leo, and the one after that in Virgo, and so on in order.

Hmm, interesting. Let’s see what’s going on.

I just recently did an Astrological Analysis for someone who was asking me about her health, and wow, will you look at this chart to the right. Five planets are in the Sixth House of Health and Service!

This chart was pulled for the night of the new moon, Friday, December 19th at 5 o’clock in the evening.

With Cancer on the horizon, the energies around the time of the new moon are going to be loving and nurturing, and some of us might feel the need to be home more or around things that are familiar to us.

The five-planet stellium in the Sixth House leaves no doubt that there’s a powerful and intense focus on matters related to health and service, and if you look closely in there, you can see that the Moon and Venus are conjoined with about two degrees of separation.

Service can be many things. It can be services we provide to others, military service, service we provide to ourselves, and service to God or a Higher Power. In terms of health, the service we provide to ourselves is most important because we’re nothing without our health.

Sagittarius is the sign of optimism, and The Archer says, “I see.” This makes navigating through the energies at the beginning of this lunar cycle relatively easy because you can see what’s going on. You can see that it’s time to start dieting. You can see that maybe it’s time to join a gym or start exercising regularly on your own.

You can look at the clock and see that time is winding down, so it would be wise to get busy with whatever it is you’re working on or planning to do.

Optimism. I know it’s hard sometimes to start new things because we’re creatures of habit. We get used to things and it’s easy for us to settle into our routines and refuse all disturbances, but if you can keep a good attitude about what you’re attempting to do, you might find soon that were just overreacting the whole time.

Yes, change can be a pain in the ass, and yes, stepping out of our comfort zone does take effort and sometimes courage, but how many times have you decided to do something you really didn’t want to do only to feel really good about yourself after you did it?

This Sagittarian energy could have some of us feeling a bit restless and anxious, but we’re excited to start new things and meet new people. We want to expand, branch-out, network and grow, and a good attitude can certainly help us do that. Excitement and enthusiasm are contagious, and if you’re brimming with both, people will want to be around you and include you in things.

At the time of this new moon, some of us might decide to renew or rediscover our faith or our relationship to God or a Higher Power. Some of us might have the desire to join a church for the first time or switch religions altogether and join a new church.

In astrology, the Moon represents our deep subconscious minds, our general mood, and how we respond or react to things. Venus is the Goddess of Love and Beauty. With both conjoined in Sagittarius, our initial reaction to something we encounter around the time of December 19th is likely to be with open arms and love in our hearts, and it will be important for us to hold on to this feeling long enough to catch the eye of someone important.

All is fair in love and war, and of course, there are people who will want to sabotage and attempt to take this moment from you, but once the cat is out of the bag, it’s going to be out forever. 2026 can begin in a way you never imagined once you reveal how you truly feel about someone or something.

Conclusion

Okay, so, we have the Ninth House ruler, Sagittarius, in the Sixth House. We also have the Moon’s Nodal Axis connecting the Third and the Ninth House, and Jupiter, the planetary ruler of Sagittarius, is in Cancer in the First House.

All of this adds up to us starting something now pertaining to health and service that will be the beginning of a very long journey. Think about how this energy could manifest.

For example..

Maybe you’re overweight, and you’ve been letting it go for a very long time, but you can’t anymore because your health is deteriorating.

You start by gathering information, and then you decide to reach out to a dietician, and maybe, meet up with a personal trainer at the gym. Boom! The weight loss journey begins!

Now, let’s look at this situation from a different perspective (South Node in the Third House/North Node in the Ninth House). You’ve come to the end of that journey, and now you want to reach out to people. You’ve become an expert in weight loss and your personal story is inspiring. Writing a book or speaking in front of large audiences-that’s all covered in the Ninth House, which is where the North Node is located.

In astrology, the 22nd degree is known as the “kill or be killed degree.” That means that it’s do or die time. A quincunx connects the conjunction between the Moon and Venus in the Sixth House to Jupiter on the 22nd degree of Cancer in the First House.

It’s time to make your personal health a priority, and if you do, Jupiter promises expansion, luck, growth, success, abundance, and prosperity. It seems like an easy and obvious choice, so what are you waiting for?

The Universe is trying to tell us something. We missed something important, so the Moon is coming back to Sagittarius again to begin another lunar cycle for the second time in a month. It’s like we’re being blessed with a second chance or another opportunity. Don’t fuck this up.

Moon Scope; New Moon in Sagittarius

November 20, 2025

Good morning, and thank you for visiting Nooz Buffet! It’s Thursday, November 20th, and today, we have a new lunar cycle set to begin in the astrological sign, Sagittarius.

Sagittarius represents masculine fire, and so I wouldn’t doubt it if emotions were running high at this time. By nature, fire signs are emotional, and here we are now heading into the Holiday Season. Thanksgiving is next Thursday, and lots of people are going to be busy making plans for dinner and traveling. It’s just a busy and potentially stressful time of the year, but it’s the mutability and the optimism of the Archer that lights the way forward.

Subconsciously, there can be a whole lot bubbling beneath the surface, but if any of it reaches the awakened mind, it’s more than likely going to be about how others see you. Some of us might find ourselves overly concerned with the opinions of others, personal status, or reputation within our communities, and that’s coming directly from the Fourth House of Home.

Things happen in life. You could end up homeless, you could lose your job and your home and have to move back in with your parents, your house could catch fire and become a pile of ashes, or you might just be the type of person who never leaves home. Whatever the case may be, try your best to not feel guilt or shame, or that you’re in any way, less of a human being than someone who has a million-dollar home overlooking the water.

Unfortunately, in the Tenth House, the world is not a perfect place because the Tenth House is a measure of our acquisitions and our achievements, but good deeds go a long way. Sincerity is one of the brightest qualities of Sagittarius. Doing the right thing when no one is looking, taking your time to help someone in need, and just being a person who acts from a place of care and compassion could put you in a whole new light. This new moon in Sagittarius indicates a fresh starting point. You are in full control, and you can change the opinions people have of you by not by making more money or buying a bigger home, but by becoming a better person.

If you take a peek at the astrology chart provided by Astro.com, you’ll see the Moon in the Eleventh House on the 2nd degree of Sagittarius. The Sun is only four degrees away in Scorpio on the 28th degree, which means the Sun and the Moon are conjoined with four degrees of separation. As far as this conjunction is concerned, four degrees of separation is still close enough for these two luminaries to be influenced by one another.

Sagittarius’s fire is more of a creative fire, so any restlessness felt now can definitely stem from personal ambition to seek out the experiences and the relationships that are going to help us grow as individuals. You’re feeling optimistic and open-minded now, and your will to explore could make it difficult to stay committed or tend to mundane responsibilities.

This new moon is unique. Yes, it’s a new moon and the beginning of a brand-new lunar cycle, but also, tonight’s new moon represents the beginning of the last full lunar cycle that we’ll see in 2025. This lunar cycle will take us all the way to December 17th.

A trine between the Moon and Jupiter in Cancer in the Seventh House, reveals that a lot can be gained through the personal relationships we form at this time and those we might already be in, but you’re going to have to remain loyal to those who are loyal to you. It’s the energetic pull of the Moon as it’s expressed through Sagittarius that’s going to have us feeling an adventurous streak, but trust me, you have something good at home. Don’t put that relationship in jeopardy for something new and different because with Pluto in the First House of Self opposing Jupiter in the Seventh House, infidelity can turn this holiday season on its head.

Alright everyone! I love you all, and I appreciate your support. Thank you.

Moon Scope

September 21, 2025

The summer comes to an end, the fall season begins, it’s the 8-year anniversary of Nooz Buffet, the Sun is changing signs from Virgo to Libra, and a brand-new lunar cycle is beginning-it all goes down on September 21st.

At approximately 3:54 p.m. on Sunday, September 21st, there will be a new moon, and once again, a new lunar cycle begins. Both the Moon and the Sun will be on the 29th degree of Virgo. This is interesting because Virgo and the Sixth House is the gateway to Seventh House, the upper half of the chart, and the night. In the grand scheme, as kind of like an overlay of energy, there might be a general trend of new love affairs and new friendships.

You and your single friends have been enjoying the company of one another since the summer began, but suddenly, you’re looking around realizing that you’re the only one who’s still alone. Whoa!? When did everyone fall in love?

LOL 🤣, Hey, tis the season. People don’t want to go through the holidays alone, well, most people don’t. Some of us haven’t had much of a choice as eternal loneliness seems to be our karmic calling card. 🤷‍♂️ Anyway, that’s just an overall energetic trend that you might start seeing, and I thought it would be worth mentioning so you’re not left out.

When you actually look at the chart for September 21st at 3:54 p.m., you can see that the Moon will be in Virgo in the Eighth House.

There’s something going on this chart that’s literally manifesting and being acted right now by humanity like as if we were the actors on the stage of life and astrology was the script.

It’s the Eighth House conjunction between the Sun and Moon in Virgo and Mercury in Libra, opposite Saturn in Pisces in the Second House.

If you’re a follower of my astrology, then you’re lucky because this is like a behind scenes look.  How real is astrology?  How accurate is astrology?  How true is astrology?  Those questions are being answered right now in real time.

The opposition is an aspect of 180 degrees that’s like a tug of war between opposite forces.  If we can’t bring both sides into balance, then we must pick one or the other.

Let’s talk about the forces at play.  On one side, you have the conjunction between the Sun, the Moon, and Mercury.  Mercury is the Messenger God of Communication and Commerce, the Sun represents our will and vitality, and the Moon represents our subconscious, our mood, and how we react or respond to things.

The Eight House is the House of Death.

On the other side, Saturn is in the Second House in Pisces, and Saturn represents limitations, restrictions, structure, and order.

Okay, so, around the time of the full moon, a public figure named Charlie Kirk was assassinated.  He was shot by a sniper while speaking to college students on the campus of Utah Valley University.  This is very much an Eighth House issue. As a matter of fact, any type of unnatural or untimely death is an Eighth House matter.

Moving forward, we’re going to leave our personal opinions towards kirk aside and just stick to the facts.  Charlie Kirk was 31.  He was a young man with a lot of life left in him.  He was married and he was a father of two children. We know that kirk was not a violent man.  He was exercising his First Amendment rights to assemble peacefully and speak freely about issues that were a concern of his.

Since the murder, during this past week, we’ve seen people celebrating his death publicly.  On the internet and in the news, we’ve seen people expressing how happy they were that Charlie Kirk was murdered, and we’ve even seen young women destroying his public memorials.  All of this is represented by the conjunction (Sun and Moon in Virgo, Mercury in Libra/Eighth House).

These people have been getting arrested and losing their jobs (Saturn side), so the question is starting to become an issue of who’s right and who’s wrong.

Well, what do Charlie Kirk and the people celebrating his death have in common?  All of them were punished for self-expression, which reveals a deeper problem interwoven into the fabric of American freedom, but even that for the time being, we’ll set aside.

What this comes down to is the position of the Moon’s Nodal Axis.  The South Node is the past, it’s where we came from, and it represents all the lessons we’ve learned already.  The South Node is in the Eighth House on the conjunction side.

The North Node represents the mission and the destiny for this current life.  The North Node is where we’re going.  It’s the work of our higher self in the now moment. The North Node is in Pisces on the Second House side with Saturn.

So, there it is.  Pisces is the sign of deep love, empathy, and compassion.  The people celebrating his death are not showing compassion or empathy. Publicly, they’re showing the world that they’re stuck on past lessons most of humanity has already learned and moved on from. Are they wrong for what they’re doing? No, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but in the public eye, it’s really insensitive because most humans have matured and evolved past that point.

It’s really interesting to see the evolution gap between human souls.

I always tell you guys that the full moon is a time of culmination and revelation, and I want all of you who are awake, who are astrologically inclined, and those who are mature and evolved to think about what was revealed to us.

A female gets off of work, and she gets on a train to go home. While she’s on the train, she gets stabbed in the neck for no reason and dies. Charlie Kirk, a nonviolent man, goes to a college campus to speak to young men and women and he’s shot and killed by a sniper.

Have the people we put in power to protect life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness done their job? No, they’re clearly no longer working for the benefit of the people who put them in power. What else was revealed? We got to see a glimpse of old human behavior, which was a public celebration concerning the murder of a fellow American citizen.

We got to see that a real problem exists in this country. We’re being murdered, arrested, and our jobs are being taken away because we’re expressing ourselves. We got to see a similar lesson during covid, but people we’re too blind to see it then.

A new lunar cycle is beginning now, and the universe is such an amazing place. I sure hope that we as a species learned something from the previous lunar cycle, and I hope we’re able to move on with a little more respect, a little more consideration, and a little more compassion for one another.

Moon Scope; Starting Fresh in the Sign of Purity

Written on August 19, 2025, for the New Moon on Augustus 23, 2025

Good morning beloved, and thank you for visiting Nooz Buffet. It’s not a secret that Mercury is the ruling planet of Virgo, but any good astrologer knows that there’s a personal branding or touch that goes along with the study and practice of astrology, which in all honesty, is what makes this an art.

I’ve grown fond of the goddess asteroid, Astraea, and personally, I feel comfortable with Astraea ruling Virgo. Hey, some astrologers say that Chiron should rule Virgo, and who would I be to challenge them. This is art!

I spend most of my time on the computer, so I don’t get to watch much television, but I remember how awful the nightly news was on television. Lots of people stopped watching the news because it was sad, negative, and just freaking disturbing.

Well, there’s no way around that. You get the same thing on the computer, and every time my homepage opens, I see murder, home invasion, roommates decapitating one another, robbery, hate crimes, carjacking, woman getting knocked out by men, men and women stabbing people for no reason, and the list of senseless and heinous crimes goes on and on.

This brings me to Astraea. Astraea was the ancient Greek Goddess of Truth and Justice, and she was the last of the immortals to live on earth with humans. Astraea loved humanity, and we often see pictures of her holding a scale and wearing a blindfold.

The blindfold represents an important and often overlooked concept that justice, in the end, must be served without discrimination and without favoritism. Without prejudice. Who you are and what you look like does not matter. We’re all humans.

While Astraea was here on earth, there was an extreme decline in ethics, morals, and virtue, and at a certain point, Astraea began to feel useless. She felt like humanity had gone down a road and there was no way of bringing us back. According to Astraea, she had done all she could, humans were beyond reproach, and she was wiping her hands clean. At that point, she ascended to stars and she was given the Constellation Virgo.

After looking at the news lately, I often wonder myself if humanity is beyond reproach, but I guess you can’t base that decision solely of the news.

New Moon in Virgo

We have a new lunar cycle beginning in Virgo, and if you look at the chart below (courtesy of astro.com), you can see the Moon on the 9th degree of Virgo in the Seventh House.

The energy of this new lunar cycle is important because it takes us from the end of August to the beginning of the fall season, so yes, this cycle that begins today on the 23rd, culminates on September 7th, and then, it turns new again on the first day of fall or the autumn equinox.

Relationships are obviously in focus now with the Moon being in the Seventh House, but the overall picture gets a little clearer once we consider the placements of Mercury, Virgo’s ruler, and Astraea, Virgo’s co-ruler.

When it comes to the Seventh House, we always hear a lot about marriages, friendships, or just relationships in general, but what “open enemies?” Open enemies are enemies we know (as opposed to Twelfth House enemies), and they usually come in the form of competitors. Perhaps, subconsciously, even though we might not be aware of it, our moods and overall energies can be affected by people who compete with us.

This happens because our connections to these people goes way beyond the competition. You could be competing in a writing contest, for an award in school, for a job promotion, or in a sporting event, and once you enter the competition, the people who compete against you are not going to be friendly. They want to win just as badly as you do. So, there’s a lot of ill-feelings, a lot of jealousy, and maybe even some overlooking as these people wish terrible things upon you. All of that can be draining.

Do your best to protect your energy now, and do your best to prepare for whatever it is that you’re trying to win. When you look at the chart below, you can see that there’s a large Seventh House that looks to be about 36 degrees and occupied by both Leo and Virgo.

This tells me that there’s going to be a split within the Seventh House between those that are just blowing off hot air and talking shit💩 (Mercury in Leo), and those who actually get something done (industrious/Virgo). That’s why I say to protect your energy and focus on your preparation. People like to talk, even if they have no intentions on getting involved or competing.

Do worry about them, and honestly, you shouldn’t be worrying about anyone except yourself anyway. Virgo is the sign of conscientiousness, she wants to know and she wants to understand.

The Moon in Virgo at the start of this lunar cycle can have you feeling intellectual and meticulous, so do the research. Study the market conditions, study your competitors, and know and understand what you’re getting involved in. Ground yourself, and do all the behind scenes work.

Astraea in the Tenth House indicates that religion, traveling or studying abroad, and colleges or universities are a part of the larger picture. With Mercury in Leo, the Moon in Virgo, and Astraea in Sagittarius, you might be preparing some type of speech that you’re eventually going to deliver in front of a large audience, or maybe you’re working on a book or movie script.

I see lot of ideas and thoughts coming in through Mercury, manifested by the will of Leo, and made concrete in Virgo. This is actually the essence of creating something from nothing.

If you have any good ideas, write them down now and work on them. Develop them.

In the sign of Sagittarius, Astraea won’t abandon you if you remain optimistic, open-minded, and most importantly, pure of heart. If you’re doing something because you absolutely and truly believe in it and care about it with all of your heart, the door will remain open for you to transcend your current condition or situation.

This, after all, is a new moon, and we’re starting fresh in the sign of purity. Virgo doesn’t mean you have to be a virgin, it means you need to be pure of heart. Sincere.

Conclusion

When it comes to relationships, or partnerships of any kind, you should be as discriminating as possible. Distinguish between those who can help you and add value and those who talk a good game, and say they will, but never do.

If you can remain broad-mined and open to new ideas, it will help to curtail the darker side of Virgo, which manifests as argumentative, and over-critical. The Moon is Virgo, especially a new moon, foreshadows new endeavors in business and industry. Virgo is about service and helping, and you can't do either of those things if you're being standoffish.

Let the fires of Sagittarius and Leo warm you. Be adventurous and outgoing, friendly, and creative. I like Mercury in Leo. Conversations are about expansion. How can we do more? How can we better ourselves or improve our position? How can we turn this idea into a real money maker?

There's really no limit right now with the involvement of Sagittarius. The only limitations are the ones we place on ourselves. If you want to start this new lunar cycle off the right way, let sincerity guide the way forward.

Okay, my friends. Have a wonderful weekend. This will be the last lunar cycle of the summer! Enjoy it.

Moon Scope; Entering the Lion’s Den

July 22, 2025

(Written on 7/22/2025 for 7/24/2025)

Today, is July 22nd, and I decided for two reasons to write the Moon Scope today instead of Thursday, the 24th. So, right now as we’re speaking at 6:39 p.m., the Sun has just left Cancer and crossed over into Leo. According to our Tropical Zodiac, the Sun is currently on the 0 degree of the Lion.

Today, the 22nd of July, is also the Feast Day for Saint Mary Magdalene, so this is a very important day all the way around, especially if you have Leo rising. The Sun is changing signs from Cancer to Leo, Saint Mary is being celebrated, and the new lunar phase begins Thursday in Leo.

On top of that, Ozzy Osbourne died today, and he joins a very long list of famous people who died on 7/22, which includes John Dillinger, Estelle Getty, Dennis Farina, and Rose Fitzgerald, mother of former United States President, John Kennedy.

Okay, let’s get into it.

Good evening! It’s July 22nd, and we have a brand-new lunar cycle beginning in Leo. Leo is the fifth sign of the zodiac, and he rules the astrological Fifth House. The Fifth House is about love, creativity, and fun. It’s the house of pleasure, and more specifically, pleasure in the short term.

After reading that description, you might develop the assumption that the Fifth House is far from dangerous, and while it might not be the Den of Lions that Daniel entered, the Fifth House can be a very deceiving place.

For example, you might go out dancing this weekend. While in your favorite nightclub, your best friend pressures you to take a pill, you do, and you end up liking the feeling so much that you ask your friend to have one pill on hand for whenever you decide to go out dancing.

The next thing you know, you start taking the pills all the time, even when you’re not dancing, and you end up with an addiction. Dangerous.

The Fifth House also rules gambling and games of chance, but there’s a difference between someone who goes to the casino once in a while to bet a portion of his saved money, and the person who is addicted to gambling. The person who’s addicted to gambling can lose everything they’ve earned, and then some, and of course, there’s the situation of owing money. Dangerous.

One person is having fun, and the other person turned a good time into a nightmare. I’ve quoted the Devil before, but I should do it again. “Everything in moderation less the enjoyment fade,” said the Devil.

As you can see, the Fifth House can be a fun place. Gambling once in a while and taking a pill when you go out dancing, well, that’s short-term pleasure.

Leo is a fixed fire sign, and we can be feeling a little stubborn emotionally as this new moon arrives. Take time to be alone for at least an hour. Pray, meditate, or go for a walk, it doesn’t matter as long as you’re free from interruptions for at least an hour.

Photo by Lina Kivaka on Pexels.com

During this time, start thinking about how you could bring more sunshine, more laughter, and more good times into your life. As the Sun moves from Cancer to Leo, we might be feeling pressure to break out of our shells, and within the emotional realm of the Moon, we might be all over the place. We could literally be at war with ourselves as we contemplate breaking out of ruts and routines.

We could be battling fear, shyness, or getting over someone or something we’ve cared so strongly about. Be careful here because the dark side of Leo can manifest as laziness and self-indulgence. In our despair, we might even become overbearing or start bullying others to hide our own fears.

Take things slowly. As you meditate or bask in the rays of the summer sun, remind yourself, Leo is ruled by the Sun. The Sun gives us will power, vitality, energy, and nutrients. We are in full control of our lives, and more importantly, we’re in full control when it comes to who and what we decide to give life to by where we choose to concentrate our focus.

Leo loves the spotlight. Forget about what people are saying, forget about your age, and forget about all the excuses you’ve been telling yourself. Leo is brave and expansive. Take a short trip or a vacation. Go out to the local eatery for dinner or lunch, have a drink, and enjoy yourself.

Be open to conversations and meeting new people. Leo rules the heart, and the summertime is a fun-loving time. Let your heart lead the way forward.

Leo is regal and kingly, so eat, drink, and be merry. There’s no better way to begin this new lunar phase and the Sun’s entry into Leo than by getting out of the house and having fun. Think exuberance and extravagance. Dress up, get a haircut, look beautiful, turn heads, and get the attention you seek. You’ll be happy you did.

The ruby is the lucky stone right now, and everything else that’s connected to Leo and the Sun will help you resonate with this magnificent energy right now.

Citrus fruits, felines, gold, Sunday, Rome, and Hollywood.

Up until the time of full moon, which is August 9th, we will be entering the lion’s den. For us, the lion’s den is the event or the night out that we’ve been avoiding because of fear, worry, doubt, shyness, or a lack of self-confidence. We’re going to be brave enough to enter the lion’s den, we’re going to have fun, and we’re going to let it catapult us into a new direction that’s filled with joy and happiness.

You know, I almost forgot. Leo in the Fifth House also rules procreation and children. The lion’s den could actually be the decision to finally have children?! Interesting.

Have a blessed night!

Moon Scope; The Light of the Night Shines on Capricorn

July 10, 2025

Good day, good evening!

Thank you for visiting N.B., it’s Thursday, July 10th, and the lunar cycle that began in Cancer on the 25th of June is reaching culmination now. Tonight, in the feminine earth sign, Capricorn, the moon will be full.

In astrology, the moon represents the subconscious mind and the emotional body. It’s patient and receptive. The moon represents what’s beneath the surface and how we respond to our environment and the people in it.

Now, we have a little bit of a situation because we have an emotional luminary in a sign that for the most part, is unemotional.

Capricorn, for the most part, has somewhat of a reputation for being distant, cold, and depressed. That comes mostly from Capricorn’s position as the tenth sign of the zodiac. Capricorn represents the beginning of the winter, cold weather, the winter solstice, and the time of year in which the sun in the northern hemisphere is furthest from us.

However, we’re in the middle of the summer right now, so we’re not really talking about the cold weather months.

Cancer, the sign where this lunar cycle began, is the sign of loyalty and feeling, so as we bring Capricorn into balance, we know that we must demonstrate or blend in at least some of the Cancerian qualities.

It’s time to warm up. The full moon in Capricorn right now is revealing the need to create balance between our public and private lives. Capricorn is the Tenth House sign, and the Tenth House represents our image or life in the public eye, our careers, and our reputation in the community.

“Keep home at home and keep work at work.” I’m sure you’ve heard this before. I have, and I’m a big believer in this. Personally, I treat work like I did football when I was playing in college. My coworkers are just that, they’re my coworkers.

They’re not my doctor, not my therapist, not my dentist, not my priest, and not my parents. We go to work to work. We’re a group of people who come together for eight hours per day to complete a set of tasks. It’s best to not talk about anything personal, anything that’s opinion based, or anything we happen to identify with or feel strongly about (Politics/Religion).

Politics and religion divide us, and they make us fight and argue with one another. We want to unite so the work environment is harmonious. We want to operate as one team and be the best at what we do.

Let’s concentrate on the one thing we all have in common; we all work for the same company, and we all have the same boss.  If the conversation isn’t about the work you’re doing, walk away from it.

With a full moon in Capricorn, it’s possible that things, especially pertaining to work and your public image, might come to a head or reach a certain kind of climax.

Depending on where Saturn is, there might even be some type of outburst or emotional display of feelings that’s most commonly referred to as a meltdown. If it’s in the workplace and your emotions do get the best of you, it could cost you your job. Personal restraint and self-containment might be necessary now, and the moon can definitely help with that.

If it’s not a meltdown, then perhaps, we’re talking to our employers about how we feel about certain things. Maybe you didn’t get the promotion you felt like you deserved. Maybe you didn’t get the pay raise you were promised. If things need to be discussed, now is the time to do that.

If there aren’t any issues of that nature, then it’s full steam ahead. The full moon in Capricorn can make you more exacting, determined, methodical, and committed.

The full moon in Capricorn can raise our awareness concerning our public image. Listen, 90% of the perceptions people have of you are based on what you reveal to them. There’s a lot of power in this because for the most part, you control the perceptions people have of you by what you wear, how you carry yourself, and the company you keep.

In addition to what we’ve already mentioned, your public image can also be based on your involvement in the community. Things, like going to church, volunteering at the local homeless shelter, or simply opening the door for someone might have a lasting effect.

The key with Capricorn is that she knows and understands how to use what’s around her and already present in the environment. Then, she’s smart and uses cunning instead of force, and above all, it’s steady as she goes. Capricorn is looking for security, and because Saturn works so well through the Sea Goat, most Capricorns are aware that security requires structure, schedules, and order.

Having the full moon present puts an emphasis on the emotional side of things, that we otherwise, might be too busy or working too hard to see.

From the House perspective, we’re talking about the Fourth House, which begins at the location of the IC, and the Tenth House, which begins at the location of the MC. The IC is a very private and personal part of the chart, and the MC is public-it’s what everyone sees. We’re talking about the roots that are under the ground in opposition to the top of the tree-the fruits of your labor.

There’s definitely a connection, obviously, between our roots, and the type of tree we become, but life isn’t always about where you start. Plenty of people turned something out of nothing, but generally speaking, the foundations on which our lives are built must be secure and strong.

And the biggest question of all; what if you mess up? What if your tree was uprooted when you reached thirty? Now, you’re in a situation where you just lost thirty years that you’ll never get back. Divorces, drug addictions, jail time-things like that can totally uproot a tree (life) that you spent time building.

How do you re-root and start over? These are all the things now this full moon in Capricorn is going to awaken us to. This can be a highly emotional time because Capricorn isn’t one to reveal or talk about feelings.

In order to navigate your way through this time, you must become the Sea Goat. You must be patient, prudent (having or showing good judgement or restraint), disciplined, and quick to seize an opportunity or what belongs to you (especially that which you worked hard for or sacrificed for).

Capricorn is an earth sign; it’s loving and sensual, but don’t be led astray by the very things you use to experience this reality.

“All things in moderation, lest the enjoyment fade,” said the devil.

Have a safe Thursday and a wonderful weekend ahead.

Moon Scope

June 25, 2025 Edition

Beloved, welcome to this, June 25, 2025 Edition of Moon Scope, and thank you for visiting Nooz Buffet.

A new lunar cycle begins this evening in the astrological sign, Cancer. I do believe that it’s particularly special to have a new moon in Cancer because Cancer is ruled by the moon. In a sense, it’s like a homecoming.

I’ve been meditating late at night the past several days, and part of the reason why has to do with the solstice and the other part has to do with a need for answers and guidance.

Is the situation so dire that we need to pray for answers and guidance?

I’ll let you answer that for yourself, and if the answer is yes, then perhaps this new lunar cycle will open up and unfold in your favor. Remember, however, it’s the actions we take and the decisions we make that allow the path to unfold.

We’re going to see themes of loyalty now, family, and the immediate home environment. Guys, there could be an emphasis on the relationships we have with the women in our lives, particularly our mothers.

During one of my meditations, I saw an image of a wolf, and I just found an excellent photo of a wolf with a quote on the internet.

Cancer is ruled by the moon in the Fourth House, and the Fourth House is an angular house.  Energy builds up and spirals out from there.  It’s where our root system lies, and it’s where we’re supposed to ground ourselves before heading out into the world.

If the immediate home environment feels depressing, if there’s lots of arguing and fighting, and if it’s impossible to think and get productive work done, then what kind of a foundation are you leaving home with? If you’re always running out of the home to avoid petty arguments, then you’re more than likely moving in haste. It’s in these moments that we’re forgetful, careless, or we lose things.

How many times have you left the house because of an argument, and then you get in your car and drive really fast because you’re upset? And then, you cut people off in traffic, and curse at people while you’re driving, but what did those people really do to you? Nothing. You’re taking frustration from one part of your life and letting it affect some other part.

When we are young children and we’re born into our families, the root system is pretty much laid for us, but then we move out and there’s a need for us to establish our own roots.

Make a decision, and take action; decisions and actions, follow your heart, and allow the path to unfold. During the time of this new moon, the universe is working especially hard to balance the dynamics between home and family by getting to the root of issues.

What we learn is that sometimes, things cannot be changed. Sometimes, things just are the way they are, and at some point, we must be okay with that if we’re to move forward.

Sometimes, we think that we’re in the best situation at home with family, because blood is thicker than water, right? You know what, that is not a rule of thumb. There have been plenty of situations were that was proven wrong.

For example, I just wrote a short analysis of the chart for that shooting that occurred in Indiana where a man shot his wife, his mother-in law, and his kids.

That was family.

What this is coming down to is a need to reestablish our root system so that we can go out and give life our best shot. This is life, and throughout life, as long as we’re living, we’ll continue to learn. As long as you’re learning, that means you’re still growing.

Some of us are in our thirties and forties now, and our lives are totally not what we imagined them to be when we were teenagers. Some people need another opportunity, or a third or a fourth chance.

As we’re making decisions and taking action and our path unfolds, we’re going to meet new people. We’ll make new friends and form new relationships. Loyalty is what Cancer is all about. Make sure your loyalty aligns with those who truly care about you.

Possessive, moody, critical, and self-pitying are the dark energies of Cancer so, watch out for those. If you feel yourself displaying any of those characteristics, regroup and get to the root of the issue.

At the time of the new moon, there will be a three-way conjunction between the sun, the moon, and Jupiter in Cancer in the Twelfth House. If we can establish a balance between the masculine and feminine qualities within, we’ll be able to navigate the Twelfth House with clarity. There’s a lot of mystery involved with the Twelfth House, and it’s mystical and deep. It can be a fun place with a lot to offer.

Just as a reminder, summer began almost five days ago. We have the start of a new season, the sun changing signs from Gemini to Cancer, and the new lunar cycle beginning tonight. That’s a lot of transition.

Things might seem confusing right now, but believe me, within the next week or so it will all be so very clear. I feel like the Universe is testing us. It dropped us in the Twelfth House, and it wants to see if we can find our way out.

Have fun with it, and enjoy the process, and if the people around you don’t know how to do the same, start distancing yourself.

Moon Scope; Starting Fresh in Gemini

May 26, 2025

Published 5/24/2025 for new moon on 5/26/2025

On May 26th, we have a new lunar cycle beginning in Gemini.

Gemini is ruled by the swift footed God of Commerce and Communication,  Mercury, and Mercury will, in fact, be home in Gemini at the time of this new moon.  The sun will also be there in Gemini, creating a three-way conjunction.

That’s just an unbelievable way to start a new lunar cycle.

For those who didn’t know, Gemini is the astrological sign representing humanity.  It’s a human sign, and it’s the sign of “brotherly love.”

With a new moon in Gemini, you might hear a lot of rumors, and you might read a lot of stories, but at the end of the day, they might only be just that, rumors and stories.

For a sign that represents “brotherly love,” you’d be shocked at how unloving some people could be.  It won’t be uncommon to see boastful people bragging about what they have, what they did, and what they’ll do, but actions hold way more weight than words.  At this point, seeing is believing.

If you are that boastful person, be careful about what you’re saying and who you’re saying it around.

Personally, I don’t like talking about anything I have going on if it’s in the planning stage.  Talk about it when it’s over and done with.

As far as rumors go, if they’re about you, and if you feel like they’re hurting you or making your life difficult in some way, then it might be worth the time and effort it takes to get to the source.  If they’re not hurting you, and you really don’t care, great!  Just brush it off and keep going.

If the rumors are about others and you find yourself in a small group of people at school or at work listening to the gossip, just leave and get on with your day.  Don’t get caught up in that because it could come back to haunt you before this lunar cycle is over.  We’re being tested now.

If the small groups we belong to don’t represent our personal beliefs and opinions, then we need to find those that do.

At this time, there will be much planning, or at least a lot of mental effort put into the planning of possibilities or of what could be, but whether or not those plans come to fruition remains to be seen.

Gemini rules the Third House, and even though the moon may not be in the Third House, we could still see the manifestation of Third House dynamics.

You might be considering a change of address-a short move to the other side of town where it’s safer or more affordable.

Cousins, aunts, uncles, and other family members might show up within the next two weeks and play a role in things.

If you have brothers or sisters, you might be spending a lot of time with them now.  Siblings especially could play a role in our lives now.

If we go back a little bit to the time of the previous new moon, we’ll recall the conversation about love in general or finding real true love because Venus was going direct.

Well, Venus is in Aries now and approaching home (Taurus), and we said if you found love and you’re with that person when Venus returns home to Taurus, you might’ve actually found your soul mate.

Thinking about that changes how we look at this three-way conjunction between the Sun, Moon, and Mercury in Gemini.

There’s lots of conversations between you and your new mate!  There’s a lot of trips around the neighborhood to the movies, to the park for strolls, and out to the local restaurants for romantic dinners.

Gemini is lively, outgoing, flexible, and talkative.  Go with the flow and enjoy yourself.

Lastly, Gemini can represent one who lives entirely in their own head and in their own world.  They might be great places to be, I know mine are, but sometimes we have to come out and live a little.

If something is on your mind, if you’re concerned or upset about something, then talk to someone.

Alight, I’ll see you guys at the full moon.  I hope these next two weeks are nothing short of magical.

Moon Scope, It’s a New Moon in Taurus

April 27, 2025

(Published on 4/26/2025 for 4/27/2025 at 6:38 pm)

Good evening, and thank you for visiting Nooz Buffet. It’s Sunday, April 27, 2025, and we have a brand-new lunar cycle beginning this evening in the sign of Taurus.

Venus is currently on the 28th degree of Pisces and going direct now, and that’s somewhat relevant since Venus rules Taurus.

I started having thoughts about moving again, and because the new lunar cycle will commence in Taurus, it reminded me about that dream I had a while ago that was actually about bulls.

There was a group of bulls being kept behind a barbed-wire fence, and all of a sudden, the bulls decided to escape. I stood there watching as they struggled to get through this razor wire. Some of them got caught up on the fence and were cut. They were bloody and tired, but they succeeded eventually. They broke free and ran for their freedom, and the funny thing is that some of them smiled at me as they ran by. In a taunting way I suppose.

So, as this new lunar cycle begins, there’s a focus on the behaviors that have caused us to become rigid and a slave to routine.

Interestingly enough, Taurus is the sign of dependability, but it’s one thing to become a slave to routine because you get up every day and go to work. A scenario like that might only require that you take a vacation, or change what you’re doing with your spare time outside of the office.

No, it’s not that. I’m thinking about a situation where we’ve become a slave to routine because of being overcautious. Overcautious? Why? Are we afraid of something? Are we lacking faith?

A scenario such as this means we’re not living, and the people around you who truly care about you, can see you’re struggling. They’re offering advice, but you refuse to listen. They’re holding up the warning signs, but you refuse to change course.

If your plan has always been to reach level five, and in your current situation, you can only get to level three, then you have a decision to make. You can either accept you situation for what it is and make peace with the fact that you’ll never reach level five as long as you stay there, or you can conquer your fears, rediscover your faith, and get to a situation that will enable you to reach your full potential.

I guess it all depends on how much it bothers you, but remember, it’s not only bothering you. Your decisions are affecting the people around you.

With the Moon in the Seventh House, there’s a focus on others and relationships. So, now, we can see that this absolutely does have something to do with the people around you. The high side of Taurus is trustworthiness and determination, and that’s what they want to see out of you. A warm-affectionate person who’s determined earns the trust of others.

The Sun’s conjunction with the Moon makes this a matter of the heart, and with Leo in the Tenth House, we’re considering our careers and our reputations within the community.

The Sun represents our will and our vitality, so if we feel (Moon) strongly enough about something, the energy will be there for us to manifest whatever it is we want.

During this time, don’t be afraid to make friends with the people you work with. I know it’s important to maintain a professional relationship with our coworkers, but this alignment is presenting a new opportunity.

This might be about falling in love! With Venus going direct and entering Aries soon, this might totally be the case. Perhaps the love of your life has been working next to you for the past year, and you never even knew it. Maybe it’s the boss! Boy oh boy, won’t that change the way people look at you!

Playing it safe has led us straight into stagnation. Now, we have to get ourselves out of the rut. Like the bulls in my dream, we must break free and run for freedom.
