Wow, July came and went super-fast. The full moon occurred on the 29^th of July in Aquarius, and currently, the Moon is a waning gibbous illuminated at about 80%.

The Moon is interesting on so many different levels. The Moon, our sacred feminine, has two sides; one she hides away and never reveals to anyone, the other is empowered through a male vibration-illuminated by the Sun and only a mirrored reflection of who and what we are.

So many people are agitated and angered by secrecy and mystery, so much so, that they would be willing to cross lines that should never be crossed. Infringement, violent physical aggression, and overreach; they do whatever it takes to burst the peaceful and blissful bubbles that surround certain people. At the end of the day, certain things just cannot be explained, and science, well, science isn’t king.

I’ve been thinking about masculine and feminine energy a lot today, and a while ago, right here on Nooz Buffet, I wrote an article about that same subject-masculine and feminine energy because I’ve been intrigued at how hard it is to pin down feminine vibrational energy. As a species, meaning all of humanity, we have no examples of feminine energy personified.

I know exactly what you’re going to say.

You’re probably thinking about all the successful women that exist today in the business and sports worlds, entertainment, politics, and so on, but 99.9% of them are using masculine energy.

So, I continued thinking. Where’s the blueprint? Where’s the archetypal feminine? And, then I said to myself, “Wait a minute! Is it a picture of a pregnant woman?”

Think about that because that’s definitely something a man can’t do. And then, I started to think to myself, how many pictures of “prominent” women show them while they’re pregnant? Since the beginning of time, think about all the statues and portraits of queens and goddesses; how many of them are with child?

I can’t think of any, but why? Why is procreation or the process of birth-something that’s so absolutely amazing in and of itself and something only females are capable of treated like a shameful dirty little secret?

I realized that I was on to something, and while pregnancy put me in the ballpark, it wasn’t exactly it.

It’s process.

The act of giving birth is masculine, but the nine months of carrying, nurturing, loving, and bonding with that creation is totally feminine.

It’s not the results; it’s the process by which you arrived at those results. It’s not the final destination; it’s the long ride you take to get to your final destination.

Now, think about the Moon again, and what I said about her before. I’ll rewrite it.

We live in a world today where the sacred feminine is almost nonexistent, but we can bring it back with faith. There are things in our world that are always going to remain a mystery. Holding your neighbor hostage because you’re paranoid and think he or she has the answers you seek is not how you go about it. Have faith. Just because the Moon doesn’t show us her dark side, that doesn’t mean we’re in any danger.

Why must we attack the things we don’t understand? Have faith and trust in the timing of the universe. It’s perfect.

Our world is almost nonexistent of sacred feminine energy because everything is rush, rush, rush. You’re born and as soon as you turn five your parents are putting you in school. Most will stay in school until they’re about 18, and some will go on to college, but both are expected to go to work when school is done.

Most people aren’t even enjoying the ride through college because they’re thinking about and preparing for the career they expect to have when they graduate so they can start paying back their loans. It’s school, then work, then getting married and having children, and before you know it, you’re retiring.

The professional world is super-competitive. Dating and getting the most successful and attractive mate is super-competitive. We’re constantly in competition and we’re constantly worrying about the results or the outcomes of things.

Fine. If that’s the way life is, then that’s the way it is, but when was the last time you actually stopped on your way to work to have a conversation with someone knowing that if you did, you’d be late for work?

If you’re rushing around all the time, then you’re not living in the moment.

So, why no pictures of “prominent” women when they’re pregnant? Well, it’s because if you contemplated or mediated on a picture of a pregnant woman, something magical would happen. You would begin to understand creation and life instead of obsessing over destruction and death.

You would begin to understand the connections between lunar cycles and gestation periods. You would begin to understand that art, creativity, or creation is process that takes time.

It’s just like the Moon.

When the Moon is new, it’s totally dark. For that day, you can’t see it.

Then, it spends seven days as a waxing crescent, one day as the first quarter, and six days as a waxing gibbous before becoming full. That’s 15 days of visibility.

Then it wanes for six days, turns last quarter for a day, and then wanes as a crescent before turning new again.

There are 29 days between new moons. That’s 29 days of visibility. That’s the process. The process takes time, but if you understand the process and how to be in the moment for the entire duration of the process, then you can create anything you want.

If I was to analogize this situation, perhaps, it’s not really about us not being able to see the dark side of the moon; maybe we just can’t see the fruits of our labor because we haven’t learned how to labor.
