In the last article posted here on Nooz Buffet, I was talking about divine timing, and I mentioned that I saw the Scorpion (Scorpius/Constellation Scorpio) in the sky last summer.
Very interesting indeed, and now that I’ve been thinking about the possible implications of that sighting, a good starting point would be to accept the classical myth; that the story of the Scorpion begins with the death of Orion.
Orion was the beautiful young hunter and son of Neptune, but if he was killed by the Scorpion, then I guess our days of hunting are over?
In general, the sighting of the Scorpion is a mixture of good and bad. On the good side, it could indicate the time is right for employment, making money, building and acquiring land or property. On the bad side, there seems to be a curse or a stigma attached to the Scorpion that makes it almost dreadful to see.
That ancients believed that the claws of Scorpion was a very dangerous place, but it was offset by the fact that the claw portion of the Scorpion Constellation overlaps into the Scales of Libra, which can be a place of peaceful love and balance. What we have here is a very dangerous and possibly aggressive or violent energy that if manifested, will be judged accordingly. And honestly, we’re not only talking about a courtroom judgement. The things we do can be judged by our family, our peers, social groups, etc. If you punch a guy in the face for no reason, he might not press charges, but generally, people will perceive you to be a bully or a person who has no self-control.
Now, if the sighting of Scorpio indicates the death of Orion and quite possibly the end of the hunt, then that would ultimately mean that we’ve reached a significant point. No more chasing, no more running around, and no more playing. As we stand anchored on the earth looking into a clear night sky with the Scorpio Constellation visible to us, we’ve finally come face to face with all the things that truly matter in this life.
For a second, consider the hunt. Yes, we go after the things we need, and of course, we hunt for the things we want as well, but the hunt can be addicting. It can become a lifestyle we grow used to, and sometimes, leaving can become way too easy at a time when we truly know we should be standing our ground.
For a second, consider the first six signs of the zodiac. House One is the House of Self. Your personal chart begins with your rising, and we travel through the first six houses which are under the horizon, in the dark, and hidden. In a sense, we journey through the underworld learning about who are and what it is that we truly want. We’re hunting, and we might not actually know what we’re looking for (except for the basic necessities survival requires), although most people do by the time they reach the Sixth House.
Whether you do or don’t, the Gates will open, and entry into the Seventh House will be granted. The Seventh House is the House of the Other, and this is where we find or meet what we’ve been hunting (if that’s the quest you’ve been on), but like I said, sometimes we don’t always know. The latter is super-interesting to me because I feel like I’ve been a person who never really knew.
In this case, I believe the Universe kicks in and takes charge because even if you’re sitting in lotus position every day and not moving at all, you’ll eventually pull everything that belongs to you to you. There really is no need to chase. Once you realize this, the hunt dies with Orion, and a path of higher consciousness becomes available, hence the sighting of the Scorpion (the symbol of higher consciousness).
The title of the previous article I published, which was more like a part one this, was called Divine Timing. In that sense, Divine Timing was used in reference to the sighting of the Constellation Scorpio, but over the next year, I awakened to a deeper understanding of what divine timing can be, and it’s more in line with higher consciousness.
Several months ago, it was like someone turned a light on, and with body and mind, I felt and understood this underlying synchronistic chain of cause and effect.
It felt like a beautiful dance, that reminded me of a college wrestling match I saw one time. I used to wrestle in high school, and I was pretty good, so I do have an understanding of the sport, but if you’ve ever watched a match between two of our nation’s best wrestlers (probably like a match between Ohio State and Penn State), the perhaps you noticed the match between them looks like art. They’re both so good at what they do, and their movements are so routine and so mastered that the match almost looks like choreography. Obviously, it’s not scripted, but for every action taken, there’s a reaction or a counter, and as they’re wrestling, you can see this very smooth, fluid, and predictable exchange. It’s like a dance.
The Universe is the exact same way, and once you realize that you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be, and you’re doing exactly what you’re supposed to be doing, a feeling of peace washes over you. I suppose this is the lesson or the deeper understanding of what it means to have the claws of the Scorpion near the Scales of Libra.
You’re never late, and you’re never falling behind. It’s only the system we live in that makes us believe we’re running late, or that we’re going to miss something, or that we’re wrong or lost in some way.
We’re not.
We’re actually moving in synch with the energy of the universe, and when we wake up to that, we can engage in divine timing-this dance or choreography of cause and effect or action and reaction to the point that things become predictable. Time itself feels like it slows down.
So, when we’re grounded and have our feet firmly planted on the earth, what exactly are we coming facing to face with when we see the Scorpion in the night sky?
Well, birth, death, sex, and reincarnation. Death is certain, there’s no way around it. We’re coming face to face with our own mortality and the conditions we face as humans here on this earth. When we begin to accept the fact that we’re not going to live forever, we discover this deep and profound appreciation we never knew we had for life itself. What do we want to do with our time? Do we want to create new life? What happens after we die? Is that the end or do we come back?
The Constellation Scorpio is a sign. It’s the Universe’s way of letting you know that it’s time to contemplate and face some of the more serious issues. We don’t have to chase anything anymore. Everything is right in front of us, and we’re in the right place at the right time.
