The Big 10 college football conference underwent some changes and restructuring not so long ago. It was the Big 10, and it contained 10 teams. After the restructuring, 4 more teams were added to the conference, and the Big 10 was divided in half, so, the Big 10 East has 7 teams, and the Big 10 West has 7 teams.
It’s still called the Big 10, but it now has 14 teams and 2 divisions.
Welcome to the September 14, 2023, edition of Moon Scope, and thank you for visiting Nooz Buffet.
In three more days, on Thursday, the 14th, we get a new moon in the astrological sign of Virgo. At the same time, the Sun should be crossing over into the last 10 degrees of his transit through the same sign.
With a brand-new and fresh moon cycle beginning in Virgo, we receive not only a new start but a new start with a bit of uniqueness to it.

My intuition reveals a current scenario where someone is trying to achieve something, trying to make something work or trying to do something the “right way.”
I see a continuous effort being made, and the wonderful thing about the new moon phase starting in Virgo is that it blesses us with the tools to make things better, or exactly how we want or think they should be.
Virgo is a sign of the time. It’s telling us exactly how to navigate through this cycle of time in our lives, and when it comes to crossing your t’s and dotting your i’s, Virgo is the best placement.
The interesting thing here is that Virgo is the sign of perfection, however, we as humans aren’t perfect, and we don’t live in a perfect world. We’ll, that’s what we’re told, and if that’s true, then perfection as it relates to other people and places, may in fact, be an unreachable ideal. The key phrase being, “as it involves other people and places.”
Virgo, partially because it’s an earth sign, is not supportive of abundance or expansion, which makes sense because the more we add on and branch out, the more we realize the need to let go because we can’t control every little thing.
But, just like beauty is in the eye of the beholder, perfection, as it applies to you personally, becomes reachable. The world might be imperfect, but your world doesn’t have to be.
Some of us might not have a choice now when it comes to change, meaning the end of something soon only to begin again might happen despite our efforts to prevent it. We might not be able to preserve or extend the life of something because it’s out of our control.
A house, for example, might continue to crumble over and over again until we figure out the secret to an indestructible foundation. Why do you think every empire in human existence that rose to power eventually crumbled and fell?
The clock-time itself is a test. Things that aren’t real, natural, true, or created with sincerity will not last. They won’t stand the test of time, and believe me, time will not hesitate to show us this lesson over and over until things are done the “right way.”
The advice I’m giving for this new moon is to start small. Pick up whatever pieces the last moon cycle left you with, and move forward. Research, gathering information, and truth are highly favored now.
Virgo is mutable earth, which should be a reminder that the way through this time is with an open mind. Listen more instead of talking and sort of feel your way through.
I never had a lot of friends because I never wanted a lot of friends. I didn’t want to be around fake, pretentious people. I’d rather have a small group of 5 people who I know are good and who I know will be there when I need them the most.
It’s quality over quantity.
Thanks again for visiting Nooz Buffet, and I’ll see you all at the next full moon.
I’m super-duper excited to make this announcement. So, on September 14th, which is this Thursday, I’m going to launch-for the first time ever, premium content. Premium content is content that you will have to purchase.
What is it?
After having much success picking the winners of college football games, I’ve decided to write a Big 10 college football weekly preview. This weekly preview will cost $8, and it will included an in-depth game-by-game analysis for every Big 10 game that’s being played for that particular week. In addition, I will offer my winning picks, and my picks versus the spread.
I’ve been working hard on this project, and I’m taking it seriously. I know there are a lot of sites out there on the internet, and it seems like nowadays, every Tom, Dick, Harry, and Hillbilly with a beard is offering an opinion about college football, but trust me, no one will be able to compete with what I’m going to offer.
And it’s for that reason, that I must charge a small fee.
Which brings me to my second point..
On the 21st of this month, Nooz Buffet will be celebrating its 5th year on the internet! Can you believe that? I can’t. I remember, it was in 2018, and of course I was out of work, but I saw the advertisement to start a website using WordPress, and I just wanted to do it. I was motivated and ready to run my own site.
Man, does time fly.
Here we are, it’s about to be exactly 5 years later, and I’m still writing. I know there are websites using WordPress that have 1,000s of followers, but I’m proud of the progress we’ve made here. We started with a blank canvas and zero followers.
I’ve written 1,101 articles since 2018, and our published word count is almost at 400,000 words! That’s a lot of writing. Over the years, I’ve endured all the associated costs with keeping this website alive, and I’ve provided some pretty amazing content. It was never about the money. This website was outlet for me, and I enjoyed it for that.
Before I decided to charge for content, I wanted to make sure that it was content worth buying. I believe my Big 10 college football weekly preview will be worth buying.
With so much focus, attention, and preparation going into this Big 10 college football weekly preview, there might be a decline in the production of astrological work, but that will only be for the duration of the football season.
I would still like to publish my bi-monthly Moon Scope articles, and so, that’s what I’m going to strive for.
I’m looking forward to the launch of this new project, and our anniversary on the 21st, and I hope you are too!
As you know, I love and appreciate all of you. Thank you for visiting Nooz Buffet, and thank you for your support.
I’ve been a college football fan since 1994, and I’ve been a Buckeye football fan since 1995. Pac-12 football will forever be in my memory as a football conference that infused college football with tradition, spirit, and great football.
I don’t know the details surrounding the situation of everyone deciding to jump ship, but I have respect and appreciation for OSU and WSU for their decision to stay put.
WSU and OSU are now faced with a decision. Do they jump ship, or do they hold it down and go down in history as the “2” that rebuilt the Pac-12?
Personally, I hope they rebuild the conference.
I’m not an investor, and I have no influence in college football, but I love the game. If I can help in anyway, weather it’s writing a letter, or providing research, I would be more than happy to help.
I don’t even have to go crazy trying to prove it, because my Big 10 previews were posted yesterday.
I wrote a solo review for the Ohio State and Youngstown game, because I’m a Buckeye fan, and I picked Ohio State to win by 28 points. They won 35-7!
At this point, I’m waiting to see what Wisconsin does tonight. I picked the Badgers in a close one, but to recap..
I said Penn State was going to win by a lot, they won 63-7.
I said Nebraska was going to play hard, but lose a close one. Nebraska lost by 22, but it was a hard fought game, and a lot closer than the score reveals.
I said Michigan was going to win big. They were up 28-0 with 6 minutes left in the 3rd quarter the last time I checked.
If Wisconsin wins tonight, I’ll be a perfect 5-0 for week 2!
Delaware, 1-0 vs. (7)Penn State, 1-0: The Penn State Nittany Lions are riding the high from last week’s big win over West Virginia, 38-15, and Delaware might be stepping in front of a freight train here. Delaware has talent and big play potential, but will it be enough? Penn State has a monster at the QB position. The 6’5″ 245 pound sophomore, Drew Allar, threw for 325 yards and 3 touchdowns last week, and he brings these awesome memories back to Happy Valley of Kerry Collins. WR, KeAndre Lambert-Smith is the go-to-guy. Defensively, the 6’1″ 240 pound linebacker, Curtis Jacobs patrols the second level looking to take away Delaware’s potent ground game.
Nebraska, 0-1 vs. (22)Colorado, 1-0: After a 13-10, heartbreaking loss last week to Big 10 rival, Minnesota, Nebraska suddenly finds themselves in a serious situation. Colorado is nationally ranked, and to make matters worse, Nebraska is traveling to Boulder. If the Cornhuskers can’t find a way to steal one on the road this week, it’s going to be tough for them rebound from an 0-2 start, especially with the Wolverines coming to town at the end of the month.
UNLV, 1-0 vs. (2)Michigan, 1-0: Last week, Michigan dominated East Carolina offensively and defensively, and they look to do the same thing to UNLV this weekend. Michigan RB, Blake Corum, is averaging 7.3 yards per carry, which gives Michigan the ability to extend drives and control the clock. Michigan’s defense was spectacular last week as they held the Pirates to just 235 yards of total offense! The unit also forced 5 punts, and didn’t allow a touchdown!
(19)Wisconsin, 1-0 vs. Washington, 1-0: Wisconsin’s game last week against Buffalo will be a walk in the park compared to what they’re about to face. Washington look good in their win over Colorado State. The final score was 50-24, but Colorado State put only 3 points on the board until the 4th quarter. It was a 29-3 ballgame heading into the 4th quarter. Cougars QB, Camron Ward, threw for 451 yards and 3 touchdowns! It’s not going to be an easy, but the Badgers must find a way to contain Ward.
Final Thoughts and Predictions
Penn State is going to win by a lot.
Nebraska is going to play hard, but lose another close one.
The 5th ranked Ohio State Buckeyes are home this weekend for their second game of the 2023 season. According to Ohio State, this game against Youngstown State is a tune-up game, and it’s no secret that OSU will be heavily favored. It is what it is.
I don’t however, think the Penguins plan on laying down.
Youngstown is coming off an impressive victory against Valparaiso, a game in which they came out of the locker room after halftime and exploded for 28 unanswered points. Special teams played very well, and Youngstown has a stud at tailback in Tyshon King. King rushed for 111 yards and 2 touchdowns on 11 carries.
In order for the Penguins to have a chance against Ohio State, they will need a better start than they had last week, and they’ll definitely need to protect the football. If the Penguins start turning the ball over, it’s going to be a long afternoon.
It’s only the second week of the season, but Youngstown State would want nothing more than a victory over Ohio State in Columbus. There’s a little in-state rivalry going on here with bragging rights on the line, but in the bigger picture, there’s a lot more at stake than bragging rights.
Ohio State’s win over Indiana this past weekend wasn’t impressive as far as the score was concerned, but make no mistake, the Buckeyes dominated that game on both sides of the ball.
I expect Coach Day to make a quarterback switch at some point, especially if the game gets out of hand in Ohio State’s favor, but I’d like to see McCord stay in the game. This will be a great week for him to find his rhythm and get in flow with the rest of his offense.
My prediction for this weekend is that Ohio State will win by at least 28 points, but you never know. Look what Duke did last week against Clemson!
In addition, you can expect the Penguins to be really really fired up for this game-treating it as if it’s their Super Bowl, and that type of intensity, well, you can’t dismiss it.
It’s the Ohio State Buckeyes against the Youngstown State Penguins, Saturday, September 9th at 12 o’clock.
There’s an interesting alignment right now, and I’m definitely feeling it. We have Mars in a tight conjunction with the midheaven at the top of the chart. This conjunction is in the astrological sign of Libra, and so, there’s this feeling or this manifestation of energy that’s pushing us to fight, to take aggressive action, and to pursue with spirit the harmony and the balance owed to us as it relates to our careers and our reputation with the public.
This push is for us not to give up. Continue asking questions, continue speaking up for yourself and stating what you feel like you deserve, and continue speaking your truth.
I see Aries in the 4th House right now, and Pluto in Capricorn in the 2nd House is in trine with Mars. The 2nd House is the house governing possessions and money, and Pluto in Capricorn there indicates we’re definitely encountering emotions connected to the money we make or need, the possessions we have-don’t have-or are losing, and our careers.
Pluto’s trine to Mars shows a good relationship between the two heavenly bodies, meaning the aggressive and spirited approach of Mars is the answer to this current situation.
I’m not in any way condoning violence or telling people to fight, however, balance and harmony are on the line as we’re lacking basic possessions and necessities of life. Sometimes while we’re in pursuit of what we want out of life, we ruffle feathers, but that’s nothing to feel guilty about.
The pressure felt here is coming from the need to get out of the house if you live at home with your parents, and moving on with your life, but how are you supposed to do that if you’re being pushed aside, dismissed, ignored, and not taken seriously when it comes time for you to earn money?
We laugh things off and we give a little, and suddenly, we find ourselves in a position where we’ve been getting played and taken advantage of. This chart is showing the classic situation of one’s kindness being taken for weakness.
Take this personally. It’s time to be more assertive, and it’s time to go after what belongs to you. Life isn’t easy, and not everyone you meet is going to like you, but you have just as much of a right to earn a paycheck and work in an environment that’s safe and supportive of you as everyone else.
You’ve been pushed into a corner, and you have nothing-no money, and no possessions. Not only that, but people are now making up stories about you and attempting to destroy your reputation because you’re not around to defend yourself.
The mode right now is survival. It’s serious. Regain control, and pursue one issue at a time.
