December 14, 2025
Written on Sunday, December 14th for the New Moon on December 19th.
Hello, and thank you for visiting Nooz Buffet.
This is rare. Last year, I just started tracking how the Moon, in its cycles, moves through the zodiac, and this is the first time that we have back-to-back new moons occurring in the same sign. On November 20th, we had a new moon in Sagittarius, and on December 19th, another lunar cycle will begin in the sign of the Archer.
Usually, 99% of the time, new moons occur in succeeding signs. So, if we have a new moon in Cancer, the next new moon will be in Leo, and the one after that in Virgo, and so on in order.
Hmm, interesting. Let’s see what’s going on.

I just recently did an Astrological Analysis for someone who was asking me about her health, and wow, will you look at this chart to the right. Five planets are in the Sixth House of Health and Service!
This chart was pulled for the night of the new moon, Friday, December 19th at 5 o’clock in the evening.
With Cancer on the horizon, the energies around the time of the new moon are going to be loving and nurturing, and some of us might feel the need to be home more or around things that are familiar to us.
The five-planet stellium in the Sixth House leaves no doubt that there’s a powerful and intense focus on matters related to health and service, and if you look closely in there, you can see that the Moon and Venus are conjoined with about two degrees of separation.
Service can be many things. It can be services we provide to others, military service, service we provide to ourselves, and service to God or a Higher Power. In terms of health, the service we provide to ourselves is most important because we’re nothing without our health.
Sagittarius is the sign of optimism, and The Archer says, “I see.” This makes navigating through the energies at the beginning of this lunar cycle relatively easy because you can see what’s going on. You can see that it’s time to start dieting. You can see that maybe it’s time to join a gym or start exercising regularly on your own.
You can look at the clock and see that time is winding down, so it would be wise to get busy with whatever it is you’re working on or planning to do.
Optimism. I know it’s hard sometimes to start new things because we’re creatures of habit. We get used to things and it’s easy for us to settle into our routines and refuse all disturbances, but if you can keep a good attitude about what you’re attempting to do, you might find soon that were just overreacting the whole time.

Yes, change can be a pain in the ass, and yes, stepping out of our comfort zone does take effort and sometimes courage, but how many times have you decided to do something you really didn’t want to do only to feel really good about yourself after you did it?
This Sagittarian energy could have some of us feeling a bit restless and anxious, but we’re excited to start new things and meet new people. We want to expand, branch-out, network and grow, and a good attitude can certainly help us do that. Excitement and enthusiasm are contagious, and if you’re brimming with both, people will want to be around you and include you in things.
At the time of this new moon, some of us might decide to renew or rediscover our faith or our relationship to God or a Higher Power. Some of us might have the desire to join a church for the first time or switch religions altogether and join a new church.
In astrology, the Moon represents our deep subconscious minds, our general mood, and how we respond or react to things. Venus is the Goddess of Love and Beauty. With both conjoined in Sagittarius, our initial reaction to something we encounter around the time of December 19th is likely to be with open arms and love in our hearts, and it will be important for us to hold on to this feeling long enough to catch the eye of someone important.
All is fair in love and war, and of course, there are people who will want to sabotage and attempt to take this moment from you, but once the cat is out of the bag, it’s going to be out forever. 2026 can begin in a way you never imagined once you reveal how you truly feel about someone or something.
Conclusion
Okay, so, we have the Ninth House ruler, Sagittarius, in the Sixth House. We also have the Moon’s Nodal Axis connecting the Third and the Ninth House, and Jupiter, the planetary ruler of Sagittarius, is in Cancer in the First House.
All of this adds up to us starting something now pertaining to health and service that will be the beginning of a very long journey. Think about how this energy could manifest.
For example..
Maybe you’re overweight, and you’ve been letting it go for a very long time, but you can’t anymore because your health is deteriorating.
You start by gathering information, and then you decide to reach out to a dietician, and maybe, meet up with a personal trainer at the gym. Boom! The weight loss journey begins!
Now, let’s look at this situation from a different perspective (South Node in the Third House/North Node in the Ninth House). You’ve come to the end of that journey, and now you want to reach out to people. You’ve become an expert in weight loss and your personal story is inspiring. Writing a book or speaking in front of large audiences-that’s all covered in the Ninth House, which is where the North Node is located.
In astrology, the 22nd degree is known as the “kill or be killed degree.” That means that it’s do or die time. A quincunx connects the conjunction between the Moon and Venus in the Sixth House to Jupiter on the 22nd degree of Cancer in the First House.
It’s time to make your personal health a priority, and if you do, Jupiter promises expansion, luck, growth, success, abundance, and prosperity. It seems like an easy and obvious choice, so what are you waiting for?
The Universe is trying to tell us something. We missed something important, so the Moon is coming back to Sagittarius again to begin another lunar cycle for the second time in a month. It’s like we’re being blessed with a second chance or another opportunity. Don’t fuck this up.
