The Bourne Legacy, A Different Perspective

Thank you for visiting Nooz Buffet!

I’ve always loved the Jason Bourne series of movies, but I have a special place in my heart for, The Bourne Legacy.

The Bourne Legacy came out in 2012, and it was the 4th installment in the Bourne movie series, but it was the first Jason Bourne movie that didn’t feature Matt Damon.

The Bourne Legacy

The 2012 hit featured, Jeremy Renner.

So, as a person who spent his 20s addicted to pain pills, I watched this movie many times through lens of addiction, but now that I’m over that phase of my life, I can laugh at the hilarious behaviors displayed by a person with an addiction.

First, let me say that Jeremy Renner was fabulous in this film, and this has nothing to do with his performance or the series in general.

If you’ve conquered addiction then you’ll get this.

In the beginning of the movie, Renner is swimming in a lake of frozen water that’s surrounded by snow, with no shirt on! 😯🤣 Okay, that’s really courageous and brave.

He’s running up snowy mountains, waving torches of fire around, and fighting wolves! 😯🤣 Yeah! This guy is a badass!

Uh oh, then, he loses his medication! 🤣🤣 And that’s where I woke up, because let’s face it, swimming in frozen water, waving fire torches around, and fighting with wolves, well, that’s just drug behavior. 🤣🤣

And, you realize it’s drug behavior as soon as he loses his chemicals.

From that point on, the rest of the movie is about that chase for more drugs, and if you’ve been addicted to drugs, then you definitely understand the level of intensity involved with that chase. I actually felt bad for him, but I understood.

Can you imagine being addicted to something, and then running out of it while you were on top of a snow capped mountain? He was probably so happy when that drone was bringing more medication, but then it blew up!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Anyway, it was a great movie, and I think I watched it thirty times. Jeremey Renner has a commercial out now about Silk Almond Milk, and in the commercial he’s singing, “I feel good now!”

I’m sure you do.
