THERE”S AN INJUSTICE HERE, AND THERE’S A PERSONAL PROBLEM WITH ME.

Me- “Can you show me where in the system, there’s a red flag?”

Bob Updagrave (Manager at Weiss Food Store)- “No I cannot.”

ME- “Bob, I know you, we’ve worked together for almost a year, if you don’t want to rehire me, than just say, you don’t want to rehire me.  Don’t lie to my face and tell me I’m red flagged in your system.”

Bob- “We can rehire you because you walked out.  You’re flagged in our system.”

THERE”S AN INJUSTICE HERE, AND THERE’S A PERSONAL PROBLEM WITH ME.

WHY AM I BEING DENIED WORK?

Yesterday I expressed to God in my Prayers that I needed friendly people around me who care about me, not people who are hell bent on making me look bad, and trying to portray me in a negative light.  I walked out of a meeting with a Manager at Weiss Food Store in 2017 because of the way he was treating me.

10 months later, I tried to reapply, and they told me I had to wait a year because I was “RED FLAGGED” in their system.

Well, it’s May 26th 2020, and more than three years later.  I called this morning to ask about coming back for part time work, and they said they couldn’t rehire me because I was “RED FLAGGED.”  STILL!

Vitamin D

Featured

According to the online publication, “Medical News Today,” research studies have shown over 1 billion people worldwide are vitamin D deficient.

Our bodies do not produce vitamins and so generally, vitamins must be ingested through fortified food sources or by supplementing. What’s really interesting about vitamin D is that despite its name, it’s more formally known as a pro-hormone.
Known as the sunshine vitamin, vitamin D is considered a pro-hormone because it can be synthesized by our bodies when our skin has direct exposure to sunlight.

Vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium therefore, it’s essential for bone health. Our brain, heart, muscles, and immune system all have vitamin D receptors and all require the nutrient for proper function.
Insufficient levels of vitamin D levels are linked to weight gain, mood swings, periods of unexplained irritability, and chronic Seasonal Affective Disorder.

Adequate levels of vitamin D may play a role in regulating blood pressure, and similarly acts as a hormone in the body.
If you are going to use a vitamin D supplement then you should know it’s measured in IU and mcg. The proper intake for infants 0-12 months is 400IU (10mcg). Children 1-18 years old, pregnant or lactating women, and adults up to age 70, 600Iu or (15mcg) is recommended daily. 800Iu (20mcg) is a sufficient daily dose for adults over 70.

Remember good eating habits are always important. Fortified milk, juices, cheese, or cereal are good sources of vitamin D, and the same can be said about fatty cold water fish like salmon, herring, sardines, tuna, and mackerel.

Please…Allow Me

Under normal circumstances, a person shouldn’t really have to express what they’re about or what they believe, but because this is my blog, and some of the issues that I discuss on here can be political, and perhaps, controversial at times, please allow me this moment.

Keeping it simple, I believe in freedom.  I believe in an individual’s freedom to choose and an individual’s freedom to express him or herself.  As long as what you do doesn’t affect the people around you, then do as you wish.   Obviously, this is generally speaking, but I think you get the point.

I can’t speak for anyone but myself.

I’m Qualified

What’s up everyone?  How are you today?  Look, I’m not sitting here trying to brag about my qualifications.

I’m shocked, and seventeen years after graduating college, I’m starting to realize why I don’t have a job with a newspaper.

Your job as a reporter is to gather the facts of a newsworthy story.  Local injustice and personal issues within the local job market is newsworthy.

I’m sorry if you don’t have the balls to get to the heart of an issue, but don’t cast me aside like I’m some kid who’s confused.

Here we are, once again during the Covid-19 crisis…., helping each other, humanitarianism, love, brother and sisterhood.  Where is it?

I can’t be the problem all the time.

Humanitarianism

You can make all the signs you wan’t “Stay Home and Save Lives.”  You can say whatever you want about wearing a mask and or not wearing a mask, but the majority of people out here got it twisted.

Yesterday, I was in a situation where I facing homelessness, and I forgot my mask at home.  I also don’t have a car.  I was thirsty, so I went to McDonald’s for something to drink.

I couldn’t go in because I wasn’t wearing a mask, (rule enforced by store employees who are also fellow humans) so I walked through the drive through.

The person working the drive through was ignoring me.  Finally, I had to knock on the speaker to get someone’s attention.

I asked for a water, and then I walked around to pay.  Long story short, the guy at the window didn’t want to serve me because I didn’t have a car or a mask.

This reminded of the Manger who wouldn’t give me a job five years ago because I didn’t have a cell phone.  WTF?

Where’s the Humanitarianism?  Where’s the love and the brotherhood?

I thought this was a time when we were all supposed to be pulling together?

The guy at McDonald’s had his chance to do something special, and he almost blew it.

The point of this story is to re-awaken you during this crisis.  It seems like we’re all caught up  in who’s wearing a mask and who’s not, and what kind of masks we’re all wearing that we’re actually forgetting about helping each other.

During this “unprecedented” time I’m challenging you to ask yourself these questions.

In a heated situation, are you going to keep a level head and diffuse the problem, or are you going to get caught up in it and make it worse?

Do you think because you’re wearing a mask, you’re better than someone who’s not?

Do you think because you’re staying home, you’re saving lives?

Do what you want.  Say what you want.

If people follow you than great, if not, then you’re alone.  You can’t force people to do something because you’re doing it, and you can’t force someone to believe something just because you believe it.

¥

Do something out of the kindness of your own heart.  If you have an opportunity to help someone “BUT IT REQUIRES YOU TO BREAK THE RULES” we’ll, let’s see how much you really care.  If you chose not to because it will require you to break the rules and orders, that’s fine.  That’s your choice…..

But from this point forward you can never ever ever never, say you care.

Knightfall Season 1

Last year I discovered Knightfall, a show that first premiered on the History Channel in December 2017.  I’ve been buying the episodes and slowly watching, but I stopped with two episodes remaining in the first season.  My decision to stop watching had nothing to do with the show, believe me.

AnyHoo, I just saw yesterday that Season 3 is about to start, and so it motivated me to catch up on the back episodes.

I watched the last episode of Season 1 today, and I’m beside myself and filled with all types of emotions.

  1. Angry
  2. Sad
  3. Happy
  4. Surprised
  5. Shocked
  6. Disappointed

Let me just yell this real quick;  “YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!”

I will not tell you anymore, but if you’re into themes involving Templars, the Holy Grail, kings and queens, order, brotherhood, betrayal, and so on, then you’re going to want to watch this show.

Sometimes you need to just put all the real world shit aside, and watch a good show.

Importance of Protesting

Why do we protest?

United we stand, divided we fall.

The founders gave us the Bill of Rights to protect us from an overreaching government.

The first amendment guarantees our right to practice a religion of our choice, even if it’s devil worshipping.

The first amendment guarantees our right to a free and unbiased press, and that includes the publishing of public information no matter how damaging it may be.

The first amendment guarantees our rights to peacefully assemble, and speak freely.

People come out of their homes to protest for many reasons.  We have concerns, and we don’t want to be in a situation where anyone of us are the odd-person out.

There’s a stay at home order in effect that’s unconstitutional.  Anyone who understands the severity of the infringement of our rights is not going to stay in, but they don’t want to be the only person, and they aren’t supposed to be.

The government is saying stay inside and isolate, but the people are saying wait a minute, something is wrong here, we need to get out there and be heard.

In China right now, people are getting arrested for questioning the Coronavirus narrative.

If we don’t get out and exercise our rights, that could be us, one day, getting arrested for asking questions and expressing our opinions.  That could be your children one day.  That could be your grandchildren.

The line here is very fine.

People don’t realize how close we are to another Revolution.  Do your research about the “shot heard around the world.”  A British Soldier fired a shot into a crowd of citizens, and that’s what kicked off the Revolution.

Nobody wants to live through another 1776 Revolution, and nobody want to live through another Civil War.

Consider this scenario.

Our second amendment guarantees us the right bear arms.  Yes, we do have the right to protect and defend ourselves and it’s exactly because of the situation we’re in right now.

The government orders an unconstitutional demand, the people recognize what’s going on and protest. When the people of New Jersey were out protesting several weeks ago, they were met by state police who told them to leave and go home, but the people resisted and stayed.  The people were right.

The police tried to send people home, but quickly realized they were wrong.  Having the right to own and carry a firearm is to protect us in situations like that.  That’s why they don’t want people owning guns.

I’m not a political person, but I’ve recently recognized the importance of familiarizing myself with the Bill of Rights.

There’s only one way to live, and that’s free.  The Natives that occupied the North American Continent before the Colonies were established lived without government.  I’m not suggesting we go back there, but I’m saying once you implement a governing body over a free public, these are the issues that arise.

When this is all said and done, we the people will need to demand an investigation.  We cannot let this pass like we did 911 and the Patriot Act.

Thank you.

Have a blessed and safe weekend.

Nooz Update 5.15.2020

Hello!  How’s everyone doing ?

I had some time to sit in the sun today and soak up that vitamin D.  Vitamin D is essential for overall health and body function, and I do take a vitamin D supplement, but nothing replaces that good old sunshine.

I would like to remind every that the stay-at-home- order is unconstitutional, and a government that enforces it is overreaching and tyrannical.

When the government no longer works for the people, we the people have the right to abolish it and start anew.

As you know I watch a plethora of news sources, and it’s unbelievable how not on the same page they all are.  Some stations are telling us the infection rates and death rates are going up, but then another channel shows people outside protesting that no one is dying.

I think it is important to reopen the economy, and allow the people who aren’t sick an opportunity to earn a paycheck.

💈  There was a story about a Michigan barber shop owner having his hair cutting license stripped by the Governor for opening up his shop against her orders.  After being closed for three months, this man had no income and was on the verge of losing his business.  He said he wasn’t trying to piss anyone off or be defiant, he just needed to work.  I think that case is in court right now as we speak.

💉  President Trump said in an interview, that a Covid-19 vaccine could be available by the end of this year.  He also said he may be calling on the military to make sure people are getting their medicine.  I do not agree with this.  I do not think mobilizing the military is necessary, and again, it’s not sitting right with a lot of Americans either.  Personally, I think there’s enough personnel between police, firefighters, hospital workers, red-cross, and other organizations to get the vaccines where they need to go.  Why the military?  Perhaps, they’re going to force people to do something they don’t want to do, and the government is expecting resistance and pushback?  Keep your eyes on that situation!

⚾ The Major League Baseball’s opening day has been postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions.  League officials remain optimistic about opening in June.

🏈  The XFL has cancelled its 2020 season, and from what I’ve read, their 2021 season as well because of Covid-19 complications.  That’s a real shame, I thought the XFL had a nice product, and their games were enjoyable to watch.  I tweeted Vince McMahon requesting an interview, but he has not responded.

🪐  Saturn, the traditional ruler of Aquarius has returned to Aquarius on March 21st.  It will go retrograde and fall back into Capricorn on July 1st.  On December 17th, it will return to Aquarius and remain there until March 7th, 2023.  Popular culture has been saturated with Saturnian symbolism, and subliminally, our collective subconscious has been on a Saturn programming routine for quite some time.  Saturn is the planet of restrictions, hard work, and discipline.  Saturn’s call is for us to learn and make gains through hard work and dedication.  Aquarius is the 11th house sign, which is really interesting considering everything that’s been going on in the news lately.  The 11th house represents groups, friendships, social awareness, professional networking, and humanitarianism.

⛽  The price of gasoline is dramatically low.  In South Philadelphia we’ve seen it as low as $2.05 per gallon.

🥒  This just makes people laugh.

Friends around the world and fellow Pennsylvanians..

Have a safe and blessed day.

The Summer Is Coming!

I know I’m not the only person who was upset when Planet Fitness closed in March.  There’s a lot of us who joined the gym, and had a nice little routine going before the shutdown.  I was seeing results, and I know you were too!

Why let it end?  Don’t let it go.

The summer will be here in month, and who doesn’t look forward to the summer?  Lifting weights, dieting, and shedding weight is what we do.  We want to look good and sport around our leaner tighter bodies especially during the summer.

Think about it!  Bikinis!  No shirts!  The warm weather months are why some us train.  There are a lot of videos and tutorials circulating on the internet that can help you get a routine going at home during the Coronavirus closure.

If I owned a gym, I would open it, but I don’t, and I cannot force someone to do something they don’t want to do.  I can however, train at home, and when the shutdown is over, come busting out of my house like I haven’t missed a beat.

Yoga matts are good to have.  5, 10, or 15-pound dumbbells are really inexpensive, and you can get a pretty good workout right in your bedroom.

You can still eat healthy and take your vitamins.  Don’t let the Coronavirus shut YOU down!  Alright everyone, stay strong, and make sure you’re taking care of your health.  Without it, you’re useless.

Have a blessed day.
