Muhlenberg College beat Franklin & Marshall Saturday 42-21. Muhlenberg improved their record to 4-0 with this victory. The Diplomats were undefeated and ranked 23rd nationally.
I posted this video to my You Tube account a couple of months ago, and I just wanted to make some additional comments. Let me start by saying I’m not encouraging bad or negative behavior, and I’m not telling anyone to curse out their boss and quit their job.
This video was made in response to a video discussing personal growth and self worth. The career path can be a journey. From the time we start working professionally until we reach that career we decide to settle in and keep until retirement, we’re going to meet all types of people and find ourselves in some unique situations.
Some of those situations, however bad they may seem, can be learning experiences, and if we hang around long enough and demonstrate a little patience we can gain. Switching jobs every year or every two years isn’t a bad thing as long as you’re learning.
Learning doesn’t always apply to demonstrative skills like writing, typing, or operating computers or equipment. It could simply be dealing with people. It could be observing personality types, and learning effective communication processes.
Eventually, you’ll reach a point of maturation where your self-worth becomes evident, and it will be easy for you to recognize the difference between a good learning experience and a situation where your just getting shitted on.
Carolina Panthers Efe Obada had a sack and an interception last Sunday against the Cincinatti Bengals, and later on received NFC defensive player of the week honors despite the fact that Carolina lost the game. He is also the first player to reach the NFL through its International Pathway Program.
Obada is originally from Nigeria, but spent the majority of his childhood in Europe because he was abandoned in London when he was 10. According to an artical published in the USA Today, Obada just recently revealed that he was the victim of human trafficking as a child.
About a week ago I had a doctor’s appointment but before going in to see the doctor I saw a woman approximately seventy years old get hit by a sports utility vehicle. She flew up on the hood and hit the windshield before rolling off and hitting the pavement.
Three months ago I went for a walk early one evening, and I was almost hit head on by a man driving a pickup truck. Apparently he was too impatient to wait in the line of traffic so he pulled the wheel right and sped up in the shoulder. When I became visible in his headlights he pulled the wheel back left and smashed into the car driving next to him. I’m lucky. That was five minutes after I left my house.
Sometimes people are so caught up in their personal issues they forget to see the bigger picture. Life is short. Don’t forget to say goodbye or I love you or whatever else it is you think you’re too busy to say.
This saturday September 29th Penn State will host Ohio State at Beaver Stadium in the usually Happy Valley. It’s a classic football Saturday showdown, and both sport a 4-0 undefeated record. Ohio State is ranked 4th and Penn State 9th, and this will be the first time since 1999 a top ten game is being played at Penn State. Ohio State is the favorite. What’s up Penn State?
This Saturday September 22nd at precisely 9:54 PM, the autumn equinox will occur marking the starting point and seasonal change from to fall/autumn.
When we think about this time of year things like harvesting, Halloween, back to school, or even the start of football season may come to mind, but there’s something stranger going on as that beautiful autumn sun transitions from Virgo to Libra.
You probably aren’t aware of it, but there’s an old myth about those creepy cornfields here in Pennsylvania. Legend has it that people have been obtaining corn-colored hair and exceptional telepathic mental abilities by properly transferring a rare power into their bodies from earth dirt in the cornfields.
On the ritual side of this, these people arrive twenty-four hours prior to the precise time of the equinox, and dig a hole deep enough so that they’re standing in it calves deep. Basically, they plant themselves for twenty-four hours.
So, if you’re out and about Saturday night at 9:54 you may witness strange beings clawing their way out of the cornfields. Human? Perhaps. Alien? Possibly. No one really knows what this old myth will produce. We shall see.
The Fibonacci is female, and the binary sequence is male. The Fibonacci sequence is obtained by adding two consecutive numbers to get the next number. 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55,89, etc. The binary sequence doubles each time, such as from 1 to 2 to 4 to 8 to 16 to 32, etc., doubling with each jump. Instead of adding to the last number like we do in the Fibonacci sequence, we double it.
After getting smacked up at home last week by the Nittany Lions, the Panthers had a good chance to come back this week and steal a victory against a decent North Carolina team.
At the end of the first quarter the game was tied at 7, and at halftime, Pitt led 28-21. Unfortunately, North Carolina exploded in the third quarter scoring 17 points, and then another 7 in the fourth. The result was a 38-35 Tarheel victory. Whats up Pitt?
