Dieting, Do It

Many years ago I read an article from a health magazine that discussed the importance of eating every two hours.  It said eating small meals every two hours throughout the day promoted lean muscle growth, and sped up the body’s metabolism.

This made a lot of sense, and I stuck with it for almost ten years.  So it is true, and it definitely works.  Dieting in general can also be important depending on our personal reasons for starting one.  Some people diet because they may have an illness, and certain foods may aid in the recovery.  Others may start dieting just lose a few pounds and trim up the old spare tire.  Either way, dieting and changing the foods we eat is always a good thing.

Creating a personalized diet plan can be a fun process.  Take the time to look through magazines and books, and watch videos for fresh and new ideas.  Videos are getting popular.  I guess it easier than researching, but videos can no doubt provide us with excellent tips on dieting routines and food variety.

When you’re all set and have your diet written down, follow through with it.  Don’t let a busy schedule deter you.  Buy a cooler if you have to.  Pack it with ice and load it up with all the meals you’ll need until you return home.  There’s no excuse.  😁

NCAA College Football

Another week gone by, three to be exact since we started tracking the undefeated teams in college football.  Like I said, this wasn’t a ranking of any kind- just a compilation of unbeaten teams.

This week I realized that there are more undefeated teams that were not on our list because they weren’t visible outside the top 25.  Moving forward, as teams lose and things get shuffled around, new teams like Cincinatti who are also undefeated will appear in the top 25.  The point I’m trying to make here is that our list might actually increase after each weekend, it’s all good.

Who lost? LSU beat Georgia 36-16, Colorado lost to USC 31-20, and West Virgina lost to Iowa St. 30-14.

Winners! Alabama won 39-10 against Missouri, UCF won 31-30 against Memphis, Notre Dame beat Pitt 19-14, and Ohio State beat Minnesota 30-14.

Clemson and N.C. State had byes this week, and Cinncinatti is our new undefeated addition.

Without any further explanations or clarifications…

The New List

  • Alabama (7-0)
  • UCF (6-0)
  • Notre Dame (7-0)
  • Ohio State (7-0)
  • Clemson (6-0)
  • N.C. State (5-0)
  • Cincinatti (6-0)

Find Those Aliens!

It has been quite some time since NASA has been at the top of anyone’s priority list, to-say-the-least of course, but recently the pressure was put on NASA to find alien life.

According to a story posted on IFLScience, the National Academies of Science Engineering and Medicine released a report mandated by Congreess that discussed a new intense focus on astrobiology, and the search for life on exoplanets.

If this isn’t your area of expertise, then trust me, this is actually really good.  Astrobiology is the study of the origin, evolution, and distribution of life in the universe.

The report also calls for the return of the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) to NASA funding, which hasn’t been done since 1990.

I know issues involving the space community are not as popular as some of the other topics that come up for debate, and funding for research and exploration are not a top priority, but almost 30 years of neglect could’ve created complications.

Origin alone could be one of the most intense issues ever debated.  People who are passionate in this field need support and an outlet.

High School Football Game Of The Week

It’s going to be partly cloudy and a cool 50 degrees this evening as we’re approaching the midpoint of October.  A beautiful evening and a fantastic night for this highly anticipated football game between Freedom and Emmaus.  Both teams are a perfect (7-0).  According to the Morning Call Big School Top 5 Football Rankings, Freedom is ranked number one, and Emmaus is ranked two.

The kickoff time is 7:05 PM, and Emmaus has the luxury of playing at home, which could be the difference in what many predict to be a close game.

Good Night For Saquon

Despite the Giants loss to Philly last night 34-13, Saquon Barkley looked really good.  Actually, the Giants looked really good to in their throw back attire bringing back memories of Mark Bavaro and that 1986 Super Bowl Championship team.

Well, the Giants did lose to the Eagles and are now (1-5).  If the first six games are a benchmark, a playoff picture seems highly unlikely at this point.

Saquon though, had 13 carries for 130 yards including a 150 yard touchdown run.  In addition, he caught 9 balls for 99 yards.  Barkley was active and very productive accounting for 230 yards of total offense.

Penn State, Michigan State

If you look at the noozbuffet About page you’ll see, “news we can beast or feast on.”  This would be a good example.

I’m gonna feast on this.

Penn State, fresh off their bye week, returns to Beaver Stadium to play Michigan State.  There’s a whole lot of intangibles that we could take into consideration here.  Lets see.

Penn State lost to undefeated Ohio State by 1 point in their last appearance.  Michigan State usually plays Penn State tough.  Sometimes teams lose rhythm after a bye because of the additional week off.  Sometimes teams benefit from having the extra week off.  White Out.  Penn State wants to go from a great program to an elite program.

Seriously…

We expect the Nittany Lions to play a near perfect game and win convincingly.

Penn State has to win this game.  They have to, and I’m not saying that from a fans perspective.

Conquer Karma And Master Universal Law

It seems like karma is a topic we never get bored of talking about so I would like to offer my opinion.

Freewill is part of what makes us human.  Everyone has freewill, its an inherent right within us to do whatever we want.  By doing whatever we want I mean making decisions that are in our best interest; choosing what’s most beneficial to us.

I think karma is random but comes into play when freewill is deliberately interfered with.  In my opinion, I think karma has more to do with right and wrong behavior.  People who are sincere and humble are usually on the favorable side of it.  If life continued on a daily basis and no one was around to enforce rules or govern, I think humanity still functions under some type of cosmic governance or universal law.

That’s pretty much it.  As complicated as this topic appears to be, it’s really simple.  If you want to be on the favorable side of karma then you must absolutely be a person who’s humble and sincere.

If you’re not or haven’t been on the favorable side of karma then that’s unfortunate.  I hope you figure out a way to get there.  Like I said earlier, this is just my opinion however, if you agree with what you’ve read so far then maybe you’ll be open to some advice.

Moving forward, be observant of your thoughts, intentions, motivations, and reasons behind the decisions you make.

Did you exercise your freewill to make decisions that were in your best interest, or did you decide to go out of your way to do something that prevented someone else from experiencing good fortune?

Remember, humility and sincerity are qualities that describe who we are as humans.  What kind of person are you?  Are you spiteful?

Write in, and tell me what you think.  How do you describe karma?  Did you have some experiences you would like to share?

If you’re still with me and still in agreement, then look out for “Conquer Karma And Master Universal Law 2.”
