Mercury in Sagittarius

November 18, 2024

Good morning. Yes, it’s Monday, and most of us are back at work. Thanksgiving Day is next Thursday on the 28th, so, we’re less than two weeks away.

Earlier this morning, at approximately 4:51, the planet Mercury was on the 18th degree of Sagittarius in the Second House. When is comes to communication, we are no longer content with the mundane. We want to talk about the topics that interest us and the topics that are normally off-limits.

In addition to that, as we grow older and our mind develops, we find that we are capable of not just reading certain new material, but understanding it as well. We can now wrap our brains around subjects that at one time, made no sense to us. These are the subjects that interest us, that we’re passionate about, and we’ll do whatever we can to put ourselves in the company of people who are capable of exchanging ideas.

It’s nice to talk about the weather and the football game, but sometimes, some of us, need more. We need and require mental stimulation, and the weather report just isn’t doing it. Sagittarius is the sign of exploration that seeks new challenges, and mentally, that’s where we are.

Saturn and Neptune were in Pisces in the Fifth House. Some of us could finally be feeling restrictions and limitations in the Fifth House of Fun. The Fifth House deals with fun and short-term pleasure, creativity, and sex. We did things in our twenties that we cannot get away with in our thirties and forties.

Experimentation with drugs and alcohol usually occurs in our early twenties, which is also when most cases of addiction begin because we’re no longer under parental supervision, and we’re making our own money and choices. Having sex, possibly unprotected, with everyone and anyone, and spending money we don’t have-Saturn is pulling the rope back in now. Saturn is reminding us that we do have a future.

Order, routine and structure in our lives can help us build and prepare for that future.

Squares connecting Mercury in the Second House to Neptune and Saturn in the Fifth House are creating tension, but that tension is helping us see the serious side of things. Speaking and communicating can be done in a fun way, but the drawback to that is that no one is going to take us seriously.

We’re dealing with jealousy, and we’re dealing with a system that wants to hold on to old ideas and concepts for as long as it possibly can. The closer you get to a breakthrough, a new idea, or changing the perceptions that people have, the more you’ll be scrutinized.

If you want to be taken seriously, then you’re going to have to first clean up your act when it comes to what you’re putting in your body. And second, stick to the topics that you’re either familiar with or have personally experienced, or those you’ve studied and researched thoroughly.

The polarity between the Fifth House and the Eleventh House reveals to us, that there’s a time to play, and a time for seriousness. The pleasures of the Fifth House are not the long-term pleasures of the Eleventh, and so, we must mature.

With Mercury in the Second House, it’s important for us to ground all forms of communication now. If you don’t know what you’re talking about, or you’re not in the right frame of mind, then refrain from speaking. Wait until you’re calmer. Wait until you’ve done some research.

Sometimes, it’s better to not say anything at all.

Moon Scope; Full Moon Friday

November 15, 2024

Good afternoon, and welcome. There will be a full moon Friday night, November 15th, and it will be in the astrological sign of The Bull. If you remember, this lunar cycle began on November 1st, the day after Halloween, with a new moon in Scorpio.

Naturally, Taurus rules the Second House, and the Second House deals with personal possessions. Scorpio and Taurus are polar opposites, so as this lunar cycle began in Scorpio and will be culminating in Taurus, I’d like to take a look at this feminine polarity.

The polarity is feminine, so we’re dealing with receptive energy; how we deal with, how we internalize, and how we react. Both signs are fixed also, so the other thing different is the element they represent. Taurus is fixed earth, and Scorpio is fixed water.

Between the 1st and the 15th we could’ve been dealing with and experiencing a lot of stubborn energy. The fixed quality can be extremely resistant to change and unwilling to consider the opinions or thoughts of others.

Now, fixed is not all that bad. When we believe in something that we know is true, the fixed quality gives us the ability to stand our ground, follow through, and not be deterred.

So, there’s a balance that we must find.

For starters, remember, we’re dealing with earth and water, two feminine qualities. We’re not dealing with fire and air (masculine), so I want you to think nonconfrontational here, and I know that can be difficult because the signs are fixed, and fixed signs have the ability to pull us to extremes.

This is delicate energy. From the standpoint of houses involved, we’re dealing with the Second House and the Eighth House. The Second House represents your personal possessions-things that belong to you, and things you’ve acquired. The Eight House deals with other people’s money, other people’s property, and legacies and wills.

With the house polarity, we find ourselves in a situation where we may want what belongs to someone else, but the truth is that we have no right to it. We truly must accept this situation for what it is, take it as a lesson, let it motivate you, and move forward.

Scorpio can also be a passionate and self-motivating sign, so we may want to draw on this energy like an artist would a muse. This is a good thing, and it’s a fantastic example on how to use someone or something else to get what we want.

But remember, when you’re dealing with anything that belongs to someone else, you have to grateful and appreciative for whatever they allow. Taurus seeks security, and once Taurus gets comfortable and familiar with her surroundings, its hard to deter her. This is part of the challenge when it comes to balancing this polarity.

This full moon in Taurus on the 15th should reveal valuable information on how to begin acquiring for ourselves. We began in the house of other people’s money and property, so as we get into our own house of money and possessions, we should have a pretty good idea concerning the things we want and the best ways of going about it.

This polarity deepens a bit because we have to consider the ruling planets, and this is where we get to the heart of the matter. Venus rules Taurus, and Pluto rules Scorpio. It can be difficult to let something go when we love it, and Pluto, The God of Encountering Emotions, has us feeling that emotional attachment that loving something can cause.

Again, walking away is easier said that done. When we feel a certain way about something, we might be completely closed off to hearing anything that conflicts with our beliefs.

Keep this in mind, you came into this world with nothing, and sometimes the faith you have in better tomorrow might be the only thing you need in your Second House. Tomorrow is a new day with new opportunities, and life is a journey. We’re all on different paths, but once you can identify your path in life, identifying what belongs to you becomes easier.

When you take something that doesn’t belong to you, you create negative karma for yourself, and your behavior will be punished. When you refuse to leave someone’s house when they want you out, you’re ultimately delaying your life.

This full moon should reveal information and ideas about staying staying in flow, and going with the energy that makes you feel good. Taurus is an earth sign, and the earth quality is about sensuality and the five senses we use to explore and experience life.

Stay away from the things that are hurting you physically and emotionally. Love shouldn’t hurt, it shouldn’t be painful, and it shouldn’t be hard. It should just be.

Taurus appears to be a big and frightening creature that will run your ass over, and there’s a saying, “If you mess with the Bull, you’re gonna get the horns.”

Live and let live.

Taurus is warm and loving, and she knows how to enjoy life. All she wants is a place to call home, and once she gets that, she can begin building a life full of love and beauty.

I want you to go into your Second House on the 15th, and look at what’s there. Let the light of this full moon guide the way towards a Second House that you can be proud of if you’re not already. If you are proud, then bask under the light of the full moon and reflect.

The way forward becomes clearer on November 15th, so pay attention and put a plan in place that you can begin at the start of the next lunar cycle.

Venus and Pluto Connected by Semi-Sextile

November 11, 2024

Happy “Eleven Eleven” everyone! A semi-sextile is a mildly favorable aspect that represents an opportunity for growth between the placement of two planets. The numerology of today’s date, looks like this:

11 + 11 + 2024 (8) = 30.

When you add 11, 11, and 8, it equals 30. This is significant because the semi-sextile is an aspect of 30 degrees.

If you look at the picture above, you’ll see Venus on the 29th degree of Sagittarius, which is right on the Sagittarius/Capricorn cusp, and you’ll also see Pluto on the 29th degree of Capricorn, which is right on the Capricorn/Aquarius cusp.

It’s really amazing to see how this semi-sextile aligned, and that’s why I placed the picture of it for you to see. There’s a small vacant Eleventh House (11/11) sitting in the middle of two planets that are like bookends. Both planets happen to be 29th degree, and both are in the middle of two signs. This is unique.

The 29th degree of Sagittarius falls under an area of the sign that’s about consciousness, and the 29th degree of Capricorn falls under an area that’s about Mastery.

The Tenth House deals with work/career, and your reputation with the public. The 12th House deals with karma, rewards and punishments for our behaviors, and institutions.

Now, you really have to pay attention, and not just because the consciousness part of Sagittarius is highlighted. The semi-sextile represents an opportunity for growth that’s really hard for people to recognize, and missing it is like missing an opportunity.

So, be aware of what’s going on.

Venus is the Goddess of Love and Beauty, and Pluto is the God of Encountering Emotions.

Through Pluto in the Twelfth House we get news that’s totally exciting. We must’ve been doing good at work, communicating effectively with people, and representing ourselves professionally in public. The patience, the consistency, and the hard work is finally paying off, and you’re now being rewarded.

Friends and coworkers can feel the love, and it’s being reciprocated. Eventually, this will open up new doors for you to either take your career in a different direction, or perhaps, join a professional group that can help you meet new people.

The Twelfth House doesn’t discriminate when it comes to rewards and punishments, but because Venus and Pluto are connected by a semi-sextile, we know this can only be a good thing.

Like I said, this opportunity can be easily missed, so be careful. Remember, be professional when you’re at work, and when it comes to the work you do, be patient and be thorough. If an opportunity presents itself, take it if you feel like it’s something you deserve. Your dedication and consistency is being noticed.

Cleaning House!

November 8, 2024

What this election has come down to is that way too many Americans are now awake. There is real work that needs to be done, and there are real changes that need to made in order to restore this country.

This country can no longer afford to have a President that ignores the elephant in the room. There is way too much corruption on the inside. This is a great start for our new President.

An Excellent Video and First Testimonial

November 6, 2024

Every Sunday, Terri Conroy makes videos for her YouTube channel, Danu’s Irish Herb Garden. I consider her to be an expert herbalist, but she’s much more.

I had the pleasure of completing an astrological analysis for Terri as sort of a birthday gift, and she reciprocated with a shoutout/plug in her video, Autumn Chores.

Check out the video, and the testimonial for me comes in around the 2 minute 40 second mark. If you’re interested in having an astrological analysis done, click the Astrological Analysis link at the top of the Nooz Buffet homepage.

I’ve had many wonderful people come to me for readings, and their responses are always the same; they feel more confident and better prepared to handle the unfolding of energies in their daily lives.

Thank you, and enjoy.

Nooz Now; Walz Refers to Elon Musk as, “That Gay Guy”

November 5, 2024 Edition

Good Evening! Thank you for visiting Nooz Buffet dot com, and welcome to the November 5th edition of Nooz Now.

🏈 NCAA College Football: You know, I have to be honest. I’ve been an Ohio State Buckeye fan since 1996, but I was so upset at the treatment of Kyle McCord that I became an overnight Syracuse fan.

Syracuse improved their record to 6-2 overall after defeating the Virginia Tech Hokies in overtime last weekend. Syracuse started out slow, real slow, and the Hokies were winning 14-3 at the half. Twenty-eight points in second half was enough to push the game into overtime, and Syracuse ended up winning 38-31. Kyle McCord completed 24 out of 35 passes for 280 yards and 2 touchdowns. LeQuint Allen carried the rock 21 times for 121 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Ohio State (6-1) traveled to Happy Valley to play Penn State (7-0). Penn State jumped out to a 10-0 led, but by halftime, Ohio State was winning 14-10. Both teams kicked field goals in the third quarter, and Ohio State was in front 17-13 as the game went into the fourth quarter. Penn State marched all the way down the field with seven minutes left to play, and they had four chances to punch the ball in from the 4-yard-line, but the Buckeyes held firm. That was huge. Ohio State ended up winning the game 20-13 and improving their overall record to 7-1.

🏈🤜 I made a joke recently about something I need to revisit. Before the whole incident was big thing, I was one of the first to be up on that situation that happened in the stands at the football game between the Florida Gators and the Georgia Bulldogs.

There was only one video available online at the time, and the headline I saw read something like, cops break up huge fight at Florida game. When I watched the video, I saw two police officers beating up two old men. It didn’t look like there was a brawl to me, and I joked about the excessive force used on the old man, which was really unnecessary.

But, today, I saw more of the incident, and that police officer was way out of line. It was difficult to watch, I’m not going to lie.

✔ There have been a lot of videos circulating on the internet concerning the election between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. I don’t agree with illegal citizens voting. I don’t agree with some voting centers not checking ID’s, and I can’t believe that some voting centers weren’t allowed to hang the American flag. What is going on in this country?

I’m going to give you my opinion. I believe Joe Biden was forced to step down because their plan was to make Kamala Harris the next President. Radio stations in Pennsylvania have been calling Kamala Harris, President Harris for the last three months.

They made Biden step down, Robert Kennedy’s family forbade him to run for the democratic party, and they tried to kill Trump. They wanted to remove any and all obstacles that might’ve been in Harris’s way. Joe stepped down, Kennedy listened to his family, but they didn’t kill Trump.

Either way, it seems obvious to me that they want Kamala Harris to be the next President of the United States, and I’ll be shocked if Trump wins.

Donald Trump is already claiming fraud in Philadelphia, and he’s definitely right. We’ve seen video after video of Kamala Harris voters being bussed in.

🚨 According to Fox Sports dot com, A woman named Nikita Ni Laimhin is accusing UFC Fighter, Connor McGregor of raping her in a Dublin Hotel in 2018.

😮 Wow, so, Tim Walz, Harris’s running mate, is under fire for referring to Elon Musk as, “That Gay Guy.” Really, Walz? The source for this article was outside the United States, Australia, and you better believe it, someone already pulled the article. They’ll bush this under the rug.

Alright everyone, enjoy your evening.

Today’s Astrology

November 4, 2024

Friends and Followers, Good morning!

Many of us have alignments in our natal chart that are considered rare or unique in some way, and there are lots of source materials that can help explain these alignments. Sometimes, however, without knowledge of astrology, the average person still finds it difficult to understand what they’re looking at or reading.

In my natal chart, I have Chiron opposite the Moon, and I’ve read that Chiron opposite the Moon means that you have the highest manifestation of the alchemized moon. That’s hard to understand even if you know that Chiron alchemizes every planet it passes during its orbit.

My suggestion, in addition to your readings, is that you find someone who has the same alignment. I didn’t know anyone personally who had Chiron opposite the Moon, which was okay because I’ve been studying and practicing astrology for a long time, but then I realized that I had been listening to someone on YouTube for quite some time who had Chiron opposite the Moon.

It was Alan Watts. Alan Watts was a British writer known for his book, The Way of Zen. He had an interest in Eastern Thought and spent nearly forty years interpreting it for us. Watts was also a teacher of Asian studies in San Francisco.

Today’s Astrology

This morning at 6:27 A.M., here on the eastern side of the United States, the Ascendant was on the 10th degree of Scorpio, and the Sun was just below the horizon line on the 12th degree.

It’s Monday and as most of us get back to the work week, we do so with a renewed sense of being and doing. In ancient times, the symbol for Scorpio ♏ was used to represent the Phoenix, the mythological bird of immortality and regeneration.

Halloween has passed, Samhain has passed, it has been over a month now since the beginning of the fall season, and the new lunar cycle began on November 1st. We feel a sense of renewal and like things can finally progress for us, and part of that has to do with timing.

Mercury the Messenger God of Commerce and Communications is receiving emotional inspiration this morning from Pluto. Whatever it is, it’s definitely affecting us to the point that we must stop and face it.

Usually, we ignore, and we keep it moving making sure to not to give our energy or attention to something unnecessary, but this morning it’s necessary to address the issues. Write the letter, send the email, or have the conversation you need to clear the air.

Sun trine Jupiter: Jupiter in Gemini in the eighth house is connected by trine to the Sun in Scorpio in the first house. Gemini in the eighth house shows that we must find a way to express ourselves in situation where under normal circumstances, we don’t have a leg to stand on.

When it comes to the eighth house, we’re usually dealing with money and property belonging to other people. Even though we might not be owners of something, we find ourselves in a position where we’re required to oversee or look after it.

That’s what this is about.

The more you express your own personal opinions, and the more you talk about your viewpoint of the situation, the better off you and everyone else who’s involved will be.

Somehow, someway, you find yourself involved with something that has nothing to do with you, but that doesn’t mean you have to remain silent. People want your opinion.

As the afternoon approaches, people see you in a new attractive way. You’re noticeable now, and coworkers or friends see you as someone who’s capable of taking the reins.

Don’t be afraid to speak up this morning, and don’t turn down an invitation to have lunch with someone this afternoon. People want you around, but they need to see where you stand on certain issues.

Have a wonderful day!

Samhain and the Sun’s Entry Into Libra

November 3, 2024

I just watched one of my favorite YouTube creators, Terri Conroy, whose channel is Danu’s Irish Herb Garden. Below her most recent video, which was posted today and titled, Samhain or Halloween, I commented about Samhain and the equinox, but after reading what I posted, I realized I didn’t convey my thoughts exactly. In addition, I realized that there was much more to what I was trying to say that I needed to elaborate on. This can actually be quite confusing, so I’m going to take my time.

Astronomy and astrology are two different things. Astrology is a manmade system. Astronomy, on the other hand, tracks the Sun as it moves along the ecliptic during the calendar year. Astronomy tracks the Sun as it moves through thirteen constellations. Astrology uses twelve signs, and Astronomy uses thirteen constellations.

Right now, in Astrology, the autumn equinox occurs on approximately, September 22nd, which is the end of Virgo and the beginning of Libra. As time goes on, because of the precession of the equinoxes, the point in the zodiac that marks the autumn equinox will continue to move backwards through the signs.

Eventually, it will move through Virgo, into Leo, and so on.

In Terri’s video, she explained that Samhain is not Halloween, which was news to me. I thought Halloween was the evolved or modern celebration for Samhain. I thought Halloween is what Samhain has become, but clearly, that’s not true.

What connects Halloween and Samhain is their day of celebration. Both are celebrated on October 31st.

On Samhain or Halloween, which was October 31st, the Sun, according to our tropical Astrology, was on the 8th degree of Scorpio. Today, from an Astrological standpoint, there’s not much meaning for Halloween or Samhain because both are celebrated in Scorpio on the 8th degree, but at one time, the equinox point was celebrated in Scorpio. That means that Samhain and the autumn equinox would’ve been celebrated at the same time.

That all seems kind of confusing and pointless to mention, but here’s the thing.

According to our Astronomy, every year on October 31st, the Sun enters Libra and transits for twenty-three days.

That means that since the beginning, according to our Astronomy, Samhain has always been associated with the Sun’s entry in Libra.

This, I feel is important because we lose the real true meaning of Libra when it’s taken in the context of Astrology. In Astrology, Libra “The Scale,” is the seventh of twelve signs. Because of this, I’ve always felt Libra was lost and misunderstood.

When you take Libra in the context of Astronomy, it becomes the seventh of thirteen constellations, which means that it aligns perfectly in the center with six constellations to the left and six to the right.

In Astronomy, by position alone, The Scale represents a center point of balance, justice, harmony, and love in the universe. We begin to finally see what the sign of Libra is all about, which then changes how people begin to see Samhain since both are now connected. Samhain is no longer seen as common perception would have you see it-something that’s evil, scary, and about murder and madness.

Samhain can be understood as a point of harmony and balance and universal love.

According to Ann Moura, Samhain is when the God departs and the Goddess mourns, but knows he will be reborn at Yule. This is a time of celebrating the mysteries of death and of contacting spirits.

And, now you know why the New Moon on 11/1 was so important. In addition to an already thin veil, the time of the New Moon opened galactic planes to earth.

I was looking for the connection between Samhain and the zodiac, and that comes to us though Astronomy. As far as the equinox point, or the beginning of the fall season, it doesn’t really have much of a connection to the Samhain celebration.
