Moon Scope

August 7, 2023 Edition

Welcome to the very first Moon Scope of August, and thank you for visiting Nooz Buffet.

Moon position: 3rd degree, Taurus, 8th House

Moon Phase: Tonight’s Moon will be a waning gibbous with 60% illumination.

There is no connection between the Moon and the Sun as of 8:49 this morning, but the Sun’s position in Leo in the 11th House highlights the future. With Virgo marking the location of the ascendant, Mercury becomes the chart ruler.

Theme: Communications Regarding the Future

With the Moon’s conjunction to the North Node, there’s a concentrated focus on the here and now and the chosen purpose for this lifetime. Both are in the 8th House, and the 8th House governs all issues related to other people’s money, legacies, and transformations through death and rebirth.

🌖As the Moon sits calmly in the sensual and earthly sign of the Bull, she gets a penetrating look at her current purpose (North Node) as it’s related to the self (Aries). With the 8th House ruling other people’s money, and Taurus being the sign that rules money and possessions, we must guard against the trap of comparing ourselves to others.

It’s not a bad thing to see what others have accumulated if that’s what you chose to do, so long as it doesn’t affect the opinion you have of yourself. We all have something special to offer, and the whole purpose of being the best person you can be or becoming the best version of yourself is so that you can maximize the potential within. When you look at it this way, there’s no competition and there’s no comparison-you’re in a league of your own.

But, as the North Node indicates in Aries, this is specifically about you. It’s time to take a look in the mirror and reassess your current situation. Are you doing what you came here to do? Do you have the things you need or want? Are you happy with what you have?

If no is the answer to those questions, there’s good news ahead. The current alignment of the Moon and the North Node in sign and house indicates a fresh start and the beginning of a brand-new cycle related to money and possessions.

The good thing about Taurus is that it bestows dependability and trustworthy-ness, but as a fixed sign, we can also be stubborn and resistant to change-and Taurus is probably the most stubborn of all the fixed signs.

However, with the North Node in Aries, the cardinal quality there should not only open us up to change, but grant us the power to forge ahead and go after what we want.

With Venus, the goddess of love and beauty and the ruler of Taurus in Leo in the 12th House, we gain the insight of knowing our current situation karmically charged.

Right now, all things point to favorable connections concerning love and communications, and a blessing is dropped on us if we decide to restructure our lives in an orderly way.

This is actually quite wonderful because not only are we getting a fresh start with luck in love and communication as indicated by the astrology, but the Moon is also waning down and getting ready to become new again.

Prepare yourself for the New Moon coming up on the 16th of August. There’s a wonderful opportunity ahead.

Lucky numbers are 6,4,1, and 9.

The Myth of Sedna; 1776-2076

The Chart below is from July 5th 1776.

Here’s something so interesting. If we use Make Make for the marker now, it will return to that position in Scorpio not on July 5th in 2076, but on the 18th of March. That’s 3/18 and it will be exactly 3 months and 18 days short of the July 5th mark!

7+5+1+7+7+6= 33! 3=3=6

3+1+8+2+0+7+6=27! 2+7=9

That breaks down to 6 and 9! I will be 96 in 2076!

My brothers birthday is 3/3 and my birthday is 2/7!

That’s 299 years 9 months and 18 days, or 2999918. 2+9+9+9+9+1+8=38!

In 2076 when Sedna completes her orbital period of 11,400 years, it will also mark the completion of Make Make’s 38th trip around the zodiac. That means he made 38 orbits around the zodiac in the amount of time it took Sedna to make 1!

Moon Scope; Fired Up

July 28, 2023

Thank you for visiting N.B., and welcome! In case you’re wondering what Moon Scope means, well, I decided to report on the Moon’s placement twice per month. I try to do post one in the beginning of the month and one at the end, so, instead of it being a horoscope, I decided to call it a Moon Scope.

It’s for no one specifically; it’s just a general reading of the Moon’s placement and the types of energies we can expect.

Three thoughts crossed my brain today, and I want to get those off my head before I begin.

One: If Atlantis really did exist in the Atlantic Ocean, somewhere between South America and Africa, and it did in fact sink under the water, then perhaps the theory about the pole change is correct. The theory is that a pole change can cause a temporary release of gravity-that is, for a brief time, the earth’s magnetic field becomes extremely weak. Well, it’s gravity that’s holding the water to the bottom of the ocean, so, my guess it that Atlantis, like many other places on earth, was exposed as dry land at one time. Edgar Cayce mentioned that Atlantis would rise again, and that could mean another pole shift.

Two: I heard there was an underground tunnel system connecting the African Continent to the western United States. That would explain a lot.

Three and Four: Shout out the Top Notch Idiots for making the run at Area 51! That’s how you give back.

And, why is that no one even mentioned the possibility that JFK’s assassination could’ve had something to do his involvement with Charles Hapgood? President Kennedy met with Hapgood at the White House in October, one month before his assassination, to discuss funding Hapgood was requesting for his mission in the Atlantic Ocean. Hapgood claimed he knew exactly where Atlantis was and he was going to bring proof back. Well, if President Kennedy was killed because of his involvement with this mission, his murder wouldn’t have been the first abrupt death in correlation.

MOON SCOPE

fired up

At precisely 5:21 eastern time, and 2:21 west coast time, the Moon was on the 11th degree of Sagittarius in the 12th House.

Just a reminder, the current moon is a waxing gibbous, and it will be full on August 1st. This means we’re now past the stage of urgent action. This moon is culminating and will be at full illumination in four days-a time of revelation.

In Sagittarius, the sign of the Archer, the subconscious can be fired up, and a normally cool and collected Moon could be a bit emotional now. When the sun sets this evening, and the moon rises, it will be shining a light on the astrological 12th House.

The 12th House is known as the house of karma because it’s the place where we receive our due. We’re likely to be dealing with the punishments and/or rewards for the decisions we’ve made, especially those that fall under the rulership of Sagittarius.

Maybe, things around the house or your job were getting a little intense, and you decided to take a break. So, you went on vacation and left the country. Well, whatever you walked away from is going to be there now that you’re back. It will be time to face the music.

Sagittarius is freedom-loving sign. Sag loves to pick up and go and there’s nothing that bothers him more than obligations and responsibility, but both are a part of life. Some of us have that kind of life where we’re able to pick up and go and indulge in foreign cultures weather it be job related or just for fun, but obligations and responsibilities are the norm.

If you’re thinking about long-distance travel, going back to school, or taking your stance on topics related to spiritual matters, religion and faith, and philosophy, hold your position. Don’t get all fired up and make a decision you’re going to regret later.

The full moon is in three more days, and it’s highly probable that you’ll receive the information you need. Those tiny facts or truths you missed will be revealed at the time of the full moon. Sit tight, and continue researching.

Seek out the people who can help you. Sagittarius is a friendly outgoing sign, and with the moon there, you’re blessed with an open mind and a willingness to try new things.

And, I feel like that’s what this time is about. It’s a time of newness. It’s a time to be open to the people and information that will allow positive changes to take place in your life.

It’s Friday! It’s the summer time! If you’ve been a homebody lately, tonight might be your night. Go out, and have some fun. With a Sagittarius moon, you’re optimistic and adventurous.

On a more serious note, institutions of all kinds fall under the rulership of the 12th House. Hospitals, rehabilitation centers, the court system, and jails are highlighted now. If you are going out tonight, and alcohol is on the menu, be careful and be responsible. I know Sag hates responsibilities, but mistakes are costly.

These are the waters we tread right now.

If you’re battling addiction, the energy favors getting help for that. This Moon in Sagittarius reminds us how much we hate restrictions and being tied down, and there’s no greater ball-and-chain than an addiction to something.

I don’t like mentioning this because it makes a reading way too serious, but the 12th House is the house of secret enemies. Be extra cautious and use some common sense.

Lucky numbers are 5 and 7. If you want to play with the numerology, you can add 5 and 7 and get 12. 12 reduces to 3.

Special Color: Purple-the color of royalty

Thank you for reading this Moon Scope. Have a wonderful night and a blessed weekend.

The Crescent and the Starry Maiden

Last night, I picked up a book I bought and read several years ago, “Who Built the Moon?” It was written by Christopher Knight, and author who wrote another great book that I haven’t read yet, The Hiram Key.

It’s good, and I recommend re-reading certain books you’ve bought because you’ll always find new information you missed. Also, things that didn’t make sense before will begin to make sense the more you revisit the text.

Anyway, lol..

So, my Moon application says the Moon will be in Leo tonight, but the website I visit religiously just showed tonight’s crescent Moon reaching the zero point of Virgo.

A lot of people have a different opinion about the Moon while it’s in Virgo, but personally, I think Virgo is a good spot for the Moon. The Moon will find comfort in the reserved and modest sign of the virgin.

Photo by MART PRODUCTION on Pexels.com

It’s going to be a sensual evening with lots of feel to it. Enjoy it.

In Virgo, the reserved and active Moon will respond inquisitively. Questions concerning why and how will rule this time, especially when it comes to work and self-improvement.

Virgo is the sign of the perfectionist, and the Starry Maiden will dissect facts to find the truth. The truth is important, and I just posted something personal in response to how I’m feeling right now because I just got fired for absolutely no reason, but in that post, there’s a quote from George Orwell.

Without looking at it, it said something like, in a universal time of deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act. That’s true.

Virgo wants to know, and she wants to understand because she wants to make the right decisions. She wants to take “right” action.

Tonight, under a beautiful-vast sky, when the crescent Moon shines bright with intrigue, it will be a good time to gather facts and get the information you need-the information that will allow you to move forward in the direction of your choice.

The crescent Moon highlights action, but just because you’re doing mental work, that doesn’t mean inactivity.

This is a wonderful time, and personally, I don’t know why I’m not drawing the energy I need to me, but that’s not the case for everyone. Jupiter, the planet of expansion, is in Taurus, the sign ruling money and possessions.

If you’ve prepared properly, Jupiter’s transit through Taurus should be a wonderful time for material gains. Draw on the power of the Moon tonight, because that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

I’m going to research, read, plot, gather information, and map out a plan that will guarantee success. Soon, the Sun will be returning home to Leo and new life will be given to what you truly want.

Have a great night!

A Different Look at the Astrological Wheel

In the picture above, you see a zodiac wheel I just drew. The house numbers are either circled or have a square around them, and they’re fairly easy to see if you look at the wheel (1-12).

Inside the house numbers are the degrees of the houses. The first house is 0-30 degree, the second is 30-60 degrees, the third is 60-90 degrees, and so on.

If you go back to the first house and towards the outer edge of the wheel, you’ll see the number 12. If you follow that 12 into the second house, you’ll see 24, 36 in the third, and so on. I used multiples of 12 to number the houses also, and if you look closely you’ll see the numbering stops in the 6th house with 360.

That means, getting to the multiple of 360, we went around the zodiac 2 full times and 6 signs (2 1/2 times), because 30×12=360.

After analyzing this wheel:

I saw a numerological pattern in the houses.

Sign Qualities: Cardinal, Fixed, and Mutable.

If you use numerology (add and reduce to a single digit) you’ll realize the numbers 12, 156, and 300 in the first house can be added and reduced to 3. The numbers in the second house 24, 168, and 312 can be added and reduced to 6, and the numbers in the third house can be added and reduced to 9. This pattern repeats again every third house, where the next cardinal sign is.

It looks like this:

House 1- Cardinal 3 House 4- Cardinal 3 House 7- Cardinal 3 House 10- Cardinal 3

House 2- Fixed 6 House 5- Fixed 6 House 8- Fixed 6 House 11- Fixed 6

House 3- Mutable 9 House 6- Mutable 9 House 9- Mutable 9 House 12- Mutable 9

What’s interesting about this is that not only can the numbers be assigned to the signs by quality, but they can be assigned by house type as well.

Angular Houses 1, 4, 7, 10 3 Aries/Fire, Cancer/Water, Libra/Air, Capricorn/Earth

Cadent Houses 2, 5, 8, 11 6 Taurus/Earth, Leo/Sun, Scorpio/Water, Aquarius/Air

Succedent Houses 3, 6, 9, 12 9 Gemini/Air, Virgo/Earth, Sagittarius/Fire, Pisces/Water

Biblically, the numbers 3, 6, and 9 are defined this way.

3- Divine completeness, Perfection

6- Weakness of man, Satan, Manifestation of Sin

9-Divine Completeness from the Father, Fruit of the Spirit

The biblical definitions of these numbers fit perfectly, and I’ll explain why.

The number 3 is Divine completeness and perfection. The angular houses 1, 4, 7, and 10 are ruled by Cardinal Signs. Those Cardinal signs are the hinge points, or the turning point for our seasons. Aries represents the Spring, Cancer represents the Summer, Libra represents the Fall, and Capricorn the Winter.

6 represents the weakness of man, Satan, and the manifestation of sin, and oh, how interesting it is to see the houses represented by the number 6. The 2nd house is money and possessions, the 5th represents sex and short term pleasures, the 8th house is death, other people’s property and money, and legacies, and the 11th house is dreams, hopes and wishes, and the future. These are the weaknesses of man.

9 represents completeness from the Father, and Fruit of the spirit, and in terms of seasons, the cadent houses represent the end of our seasons. The summer, for example, begins in Cancer/June (3), and then it’s Leo/July (6), and finally, Virgo/August (9). The end of the seasons represents a time of reaping what we’ve sown, contemplating on what we’ve learned, and gathering in general. The end of the seasons represent the fruits of our labor, or the fruits of the spirit.

Moon Scope

Thursday, June 22, 2023.

Dear friends and followers, welcome to this summer kickoff edition of Moon Scope, and thank you for visiting NB!

The current moon cycle began on June 18th with a brand-new moon in the astrological sign Cancer. We’re now four days in, and tonight, pending clear skies, we should see a beautiful waxing crescent illuminated 19% in the sign of Leo.

The nights of the waxing crescent, which are the first seven nights of the new moon phase, is a time of new energy. It’s an exciting energy, and we’re supposed to be active.

The crescent moon symbolism, along with the spear, bow and arrows, the torch, and the lyre have all been attributed to Artemis, the ancient Greek Goddess of the hunt, the wilderness, wild animals, sudden death, and childbirth.

In general, the Moon represents a feminine energy; it’s receptive, reactive, and responsive. The moon also represents the subconscious. In our astrology charts, the moon can represent female figures, like your mother or your wife.

In the fixed fire sign of Leo, we find the emotional power and energy needed to set ablaze an otherwise passive moon. Fixed signs are known to be a bit stubborn, and there’s nothing wrong with that as long as we’re not intolerant, boastful, or pretentious.

Subconsciously, thoughts of having children may have been circulating, or perhaps, you’ve been feeling the urge to get started with a new creative project. All of that will surface now, and during the crescent phase, the time is perfect to finally get the wheels turning and move towards drafting or planning. We are taking thoughts or ideas from deep within us and using Leo’s fire to bring them to life.

Leo is always theatrical and loves being noticed, so, however you respond now, you’re sure to catch the eyes of others. Discern between those that can be of help and move you in the proper direction, and those that are a hindrance or just plain old jealous.

Leo rules the 5th House, a house that governs short-term pleasures. There’s nothing wrong with trying new things. I mean, how else are we going to find our heart’s desire or what we truly enjoy? As long as you know when to let certain short-term pleasures go so they don’t become habits, it’s all good.

Whatever you create now will be near and dear to your heart because Leo’s ruler, the Sun, is in the sign of the protector, Cancer. This is serious stuff, and you’ll want to keep an eye on it.

On a lighter note, it’s Thursday; one more day and the weekend will be here. Go out and enjoy yourself tonight. Add hints of yellow and orange to your attire! Hey, it’s the Leo way!

Leo rules the heart, back, and spine, and if you’re experiencing issues with any of those body parts, it might be time to get looked at.

As always, have a blessed evening, and thank you for visiting Nooz Buffet!

Ortus, the Origin of Orcus

Yesterday, I posted a video sharing something shown to me by a higher power. It was the correlations between information and pictures from a book titled, Alchemy and Mysticism, written by Alexander Roob, and the planetary alignments in my astrological birth chart.

I showed and explained the scenario on the ascendant; Cancer and Leo were the two signs on the left side of my chart, and the ascendant at 1 degree 43 minutes basically split the two signs perfectly. Just about the horizon, or the ascendant line, was Orcus at 29 degrees 47 minutes in Cancer in the 12th House.

I was so excited to share that whole situation in which Orcus, was the one thing produced from two, and the two being sol and Luna, that I forgot to share something important about Orcus.

We all know the ascendant marks the eastern horizon. Whatever sign your ascendant is in is known as your rising sign, and any planet conjunct the ascendant would be considered important because they’re rising at the time of your birth.

My chart

This is a picture of my chart, and you can see Orcus on the left just above the ascendant line.

Lots of people have planets near their ascendant lines, and as a matter of fact, my brother, who’s eleven months older than I am, has Jupiter at the exact location, in the exact same sign and house.

It’s pretty crazy. Our charts are basically the same as far as sign in house placement goes. His ascendant descendant axis is 0 degree 23 minutes Leo/Aquarius, and his MC/IC is 15 degrees Aries/Libra (mine is 17 degrees).

So, lots of people have planets near their ascendant, but what makes this Orcus placement so interesting can be seen in the picture below.

Human form Divine

This picture is from the book I just mentioned, and it’s the same book where the other pictures were taken from. So, if you look to the left of this picture where the ascendant would be in an astrological chart, you’ll see the word ORTUS!

As unbelievable as it is, Orcus, the name of the planet, is derived from the Latin word Ortus.

According to Wiktionary, Ortus is defined as: 1. Having risen, of the sun or of the day, having risen, having dawned. 2. Appeared 3. Originated 4. Of living creatures, coming into existence, being born.

We can sit here and conclude that all of this is coincidental and meaningless, but at this point, I feel like doing that would be looking for reasons to not face the truth.

Descendant; Origin of the Soul; Part 2 of 2

Before I begin this post, I would like to revisit something I said in my video. I never slammed anyone for their beliefs, and I would never dare tell anyone something they believed to be true, wasn’t.

Just the other day, I said to myself, “There’s a lot of things I need to keep to myself because I’m at a point now where the answers I seek are truly inside of me.”

It’s not that the world lacks good advice or good people to give good advice, and I’m not attempting to keep things bottled up inside. My understanding of the world around me is complimentary to my view as a person in it. When you reach this level, some things are better left unsaid.

I believe in reincarnation. I believe I lived before, and I believe I will return. What I came up with the other day and presented in my video, is at the very least, and unbelievably amazing theory. For those of us who are on this awakened spiritual journey that has surprisingly swept us out of the mainstream cattle march, we are experiencing the outward manifestation of our soul’s inner journey. Like I said, it’s a journey that mirrors itself and for me personally, it can be read, followed, and interpreted by the use of astrology.

It’s what I’ve been shown, and most of it I’ve shared with all of you, that causes me to believe what I believe. We do have a soul, and when the time is right for that soul to grow, evolve, and progress, we are awakened by it. The soul’s journey begins with its detachment from source, and at that time we’re awakened. We become super aware and tuned in to interactions with people, the relationships we’ve formed, things that keep repeating, synchronicities, dreams, self-sabotaging behaviors, and so on. We’re awakened to things we never would’ve given our attention to in the past, and it’s because the soul grows through the human experience.

At a certain point, everyone on this planet will experience this. It might not be in this lifetime, it might not be in the next life, but believe me, you lived before, you will return, and you will awaken when your soul is ready.

So, let’s get into my descendant. My descendant, which is the cusp of the 7th House, is 1*43 Aquarius. I’m also an Aquarius with a 7th House Sun, and my lunar node axis runs from the 29th degree of Aquarius (8th House) to the 29th degree of Leo (2nd House).

This is a lot of activity in the sign of Aquarius. My descendant is at the beginning of Aquarius, and my descending or lunar south node is at the end of Aquarius with the Sun in the middle on the 18th degree.

My lunar north node is conjunct the star Regulus, and my lunar south node is conjunct Mercury.

My descendant is conjunct the star, Altair (Aquarius 1*29).

If the descendant, like we explained, marks the point of who, what, or where we at the soul level are a descendant of, then my soul would’ve incarnated as a descendant of the constellation Aquila.

Altair (on my descendant) is one of three stars in the summer triangle asterism, it’s the brightest star in Aquila, it’s the 12th brightest star in the night sky, and it’s aligned with the celestial equator. Altair is the bird (eagle) that carried Zeus/Jupiter’s thunderbolts, and the eagle sent to carry Ganymede to the Gods where he would become their cup bearer and immortalized as Aquarius.

This is the story of my soul. It was once young, beautifully attractive, and trusted enough by the Gods to be their cup bearer, but my soul woke up, and it woke me up. It was time for it to detach from source, and it was time for it to detach from the 7th House relationship with the Gods. It was trusted, spoiled, and beautifully attractive, but all that special treatment was stunting its growth.

So, my soul began its journey to the 1st House of Self to find out who or what it truly is without the help of the Gods. It was time for my soul to grow up, become self-aware, and individualized in its own right. This could not be done as a servant to the Gods. A decision had to be made.

So, it’s working its way over to Leo in the 1st House. It’s coming out of the darkness of Aquarius, and into the Light of Leo. Directly across the way is my ascendant on 1*43 Leo. That’s the beginning of the astrological sun’s entry into the sign of the Lion, and roughly July 22nd on the calendar. 143 is the numerical code for I Love you, so my soul is loved on both sides.

The feast day for Saint Mary Magdalene in on July 22nd, so I envision Mary waiting with her arms stretched out. She’s ready and waiting to embrace me and give me grace as I bravely (MC Aries) come out of the darkness and enter the light of the kingdom.

The Lion (Leo) was the symbol for the Tribe of Judah (holy nation), and the star Regulus, which is conjunct my lunar north node, is a kingly star and a star of royalty.

The story of my soul is clear. Leave the heavenly relationship and connection to source where it was a servant, and become an earthly king.

The Sabian Symbol for my descendant is, “An unexpected thunderstorm.” Things can change quickly and without warning, and it has been said before, “I’d rather rain in hell than serve in heaven.”

But it’s love and victory all the way around the chart.

According to Barbara Hand Clow, my moon in Scorpio opposite Chiron in Taurus is the highest manifestation of the alchemized moon. Magic and kundalini energy in abundance is what’s in the inside. Venus on the 27th degree of Pisces in the 9th House is exalted.

And here I am, housing this soul striving for kingship and destined for greatness!

This is how I feel about this, if I wasn’t supposed to wake up to this, then I wouldn’t have been born with my descendant where it was. The first zone of Aquarius (0 through 10 degrees) is a determined independent spirit. If the Gods wanted my soul to stay asleep and continue serving them, they would’ve given me a sleepy spirit that was content in darkness.

It’s time.

Descendent, Origin of Soul; Part 1 of 2

According to several online dictionaries, descendent, means: 1. descending from an ancestor; proceeding from an ancestor or source; one deriving from a precursor or prototype; 2. moving or directed downward.

I’ve talked a lot about the Ascendant in my astrological birth chart, and there’s a lot of content and interest focused on the Ascendant in general for obvious reasons. The definitions for Ascendant are opposite of those given for descendent, and through those definitions we can understand why so many people want to know about it, but I’ve been thinking about this recently, and what came to mind was this; we all start from the bottom and nothing built is done so from the top down.

In addition, if we’re to internalize the idea of a final destination, or a journey or path taking us from one place to another then wherever this road leads to would require our understanding, knowing, and awareness of where we came from.

How are you supposed to know where you’re going if you don’t know where you’ve been or where you’re coming from?

When it comes to the astrological birth chart, or any astrological chart, the term descendent is used twice. The first is in association to the Moon. The Lunar South Node is the descending nodal point that shows where the Moon begins its descent on the ecliptic as it crosses paths with the Sun. It’s where the Moon starts going downward.

The other, which is the focus of this posting, is the descendent. If you look at a birth chart, you will notice a thick black line running across the chart from the ascendant on the left to the descendent on the right. The ascendant is the cusp of the 1st House, and it can only be found by knowing the exact time you’re creating the chart for. For our birth charts, that means knowing the exact time of birth.

People who shun precision tend to shun the truth as well, but trust me, when it comes to astrology, exact times are important. Every degree is important and every degree has a unique meaning attached to it. In addition, when you know the exact time and you can find the ascendant, you can then adjust all the other houses accordingly.

The Ascendant/Descendant is an axis, they’re points in opposition (180 degrees apart). That means they’re at opposite points exactly. If you’re ascendant (first house cusp) is 3 degrees, then you’re Descendent (seventh house cusp) is also going to be on the 3rd degree.

The Ascendant/Descendant axis is a horizontal axis that defines our earthly limitations. If you can imagine Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man with his arms stretched out wide, one hand would touch the Ascendant and the other would touch the Descendent. This is from a spiritual perspective.

Astrologically, this axis divides the chart in half separating the top from the bottom, the upper six houses from the lower six houses, and night from day.

Now, let’s get into the interesting stuff. We all want to know who we are, and we all want to know where we came from. Let’s think about this.

If the Descendent represents where we came from, and the Ascendant represents where we’re going, then that means the Descendant represents that ancestor, precursor, prototype, and source we’re coming from. And this couldn’t possibly have anything to do with our physical existence or current reality, right? Because physically, we’re born into a family. We can trace our family linage and see exactly where and who we came from.

Nope!

This is something much deeper and non-physical. The Descendent is the cusp of the 7th House, and the 7th House is the House of relationships. The Ascendant is the cusp of the 1st House, and the 1st House is the House of Self, it’s who we are.

When we read our charts, we all begin with the 1st House. That’s what we’re taught and that’s what we’re shown. The 1st House is supposed to tell us who we are, and then, as we work our way through the houses and make our way to the 7th, the 7th House is supposed to represent a later time in life when we form relationships and finally meet the “other” but only after we know who we are and gain the communication and social skills to do so.

This is a contradiction!

If the Descendant is where we’re coming from, then that’s our starting point not the Ascendant. That means we’re coming from a relationship (7th House) and we did not start alone, but we’re striving towards or trying to reach individuation or self awareness (1st House). The Ascendant/Descendent axis represents a process through which we come into being and gain full awareness of who we are. The axis represents the process or path, and the points themselves represent, in a sense, locations.

This is an unbelievable realization!

This is about the origin, development, and growth of our souls! The Ascendant/Descendent axis represents the spiritual path, the journey through God’s Grace and goodness, some of us are forced into after we’re awakened. It’s the physical manifestation of something that ultimately began in the etheric realms.

Yes, the astrological birth chart as we’re taught to read it, does explain, reveal, and indicate how our current lives are and will be affected by the alignments and relationships of the planets and other heavenly bodies, but there’s something deeper and more significant in there for those who have to the eyes to see, and the wisdom to understand.

At the soul level, our souls began in a relationship and connected to source, which is represented by the descendent. So, it’s true. Our souls are on a journey. Our soul, as much as it hurts, must detach from source and go through this process of development that ultimately leads to self-awareness, which is represented by the ascendant and the 1st House.

What the soul is going through at the etheric level will manifest into our lives at the physical level through a path of spirituality where we seek the answers to more meaningful questions and pursue the meaning of life itself. The outside becomes like the inside, and the inside becomes like that of the outside as the journey mirrors itself. In the physical, it’s houses 1 through 7 beginning with the self in the 1st House and striving towards meaningful partnerships, relationships, and marriages with the others in the 7th House.

At the soul or etheric level, it’s houses 7 through 1. The soul begins in the 7th House of Relationships as it’s connected to its source and creator, and when the time is right, it begins its journey for self-discovery, which is obtained in the 1st House.

What’s really interesting, and something I’ve experienced during my own spiritual pursuits, is that in real life, the 1st House of Self is always taken for granted. Sarcastically, people say, “What do you mean you’re trying to find out who you are? You’re Francis LaManna, I’m your father, that’s your mother, and this is where we live. C’mon man, what are you trying to figure out?”

People sarcastically assume the knowledge of knowing who we are individually is common and already known, but they couldn’t be any further from the truth. The truth is that that attitude and approach is how they keep us apart of the collective and prevent us from reaching self-awareness.

It’s my understanding of all this that causes such great excitement and intrigue when considering my own Descendent. So, let’s take this back to the beginning since we now know what the Descendent represents.

Who are you? Where did you come from?
