(12)North Carolina 31 Syracuse 6

The 12th ranked Tar Heels beat Syracuse this past weekend, 31-6. Syracuse hung in there until around the 3rd quarter, and they actually missed a field goal with :05 left in the second quarter, which would’ve made it a 7-6 ball game at halftime. North Carolina RB, Michael Carter averaged 11.1 yards per carry, but teammate Javonte Williams scored the points. Williams rushed for 57 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries.

(2)Alabama Crimson Tide 38 Missouri Tigers 19

Alabama (1-0) looked impressive in their game against Missouri. QB Mac Jones threw for 249 yards and 2 touchdowns to WR, Jaylen Waddle. DB Daniel Wright led the defensive in tackles with 11. This game was never even close as Bama was ahead 35-6 at the start of the 4th quarter. Yes, they played like the number two team in the nation.

(17)Oklahoma State 27 West Virginia 13

West Virginia and Oklahoma State came into this game with one win and zero loses, and when the first quarter ended without either team scoring, the Mountaineers hopes for upsetting the 17th ranked Cowboys were high. Oklahoma scored first in the second quarter when RB La’Darren Brown busted one up the middle for a 66-yard touchdown, and the Cowboys never looked back. On the following drive, West Virginia QB Jarret Doege dropped back to pass, but he was hit and fumbled. Oklahoma picked up the ball and scored, and it was 14-0 that fast. The Mountaineers couldn’t stop Oklahoma’s ground game as Brown and Chuba Hubbard both rushed for over 100 yards; they both also scored touchdowns.

Last and Final Thoughts on Dating Apps.

This is really about more than a dating application or a dating website. It’s about how the culture is changing. It’s about how the collective is changing, and it’s about how human perception is being manipulated….

But let’s stick with dating apps. for now.

When most of us were 5-years old, we started school, and that was our entry into the real world. Ever since, we’ve been getting older, and every year we get older, we strive more and more for independence.

We’re now adults, and since the age of five, we’ve been meeting strangers in public. We did it at school, we do it at the food store, some do it at church, and we do it in the parks and walking in the street. Our independence relies on the circle of strangers we meet that ultimately become friends.

It’s time for you to realize the whole selling point behind dating apps. and websites is safety. The makers of the apps. and sites are pitching your safety to you. They’ll protect you. They want you to believe meeting people in public is unsafe, and so, they brainwash you into thinking the app. is safe.

This is the way it should be if we’re going to use apps and sites:

A recent picture of yourself

The State you live in

The highest level of completed education

The field you work in

A way to contact you

If you’re desperate, a dating application is the worst place for you to be because in your efforts to get a date you’re going to share your personal information with as many strangers as you can until one of them decide to meet you in real life. How is that safer than meeting someone in public?

From the list we above, we know this.

Example: Betty is really pretty, she lives in California, she’s over 18, and she has a job. From there, we contact each other. “Hi I just saw your profile, I would like to meet you. Can you meet for lunch or coffee this week?”

[That’s two normal adults engaging in a normal conversation.]

Look, if you’re scared to meet someone, that’s fine, but stop wasting people’s time.

I’m sick and tired of the specific questions over the app. It’s all texting to, no verbal conversation whatsoever, and afterwards, it goes nowhere.

What town do you live in? What school did you graduate from? Where do you work?

Are you fucking kidding me? I don’t even know who I’m talking to.

NCAA College Football Week 4

I know I know, I’m a little late, but I have to be honest. This whole COVID thing had me almost giving up on this NCAA college football season, but after this weekend-college football is back baby!

If you’ve been following Table Seven then you know we put in some serious work covering the NCAA college football 2019/2020 season, but here we are; it’s week 4 of the 2020 season, and the K-State Oklahoma game revived me. For the second time in two seasons, the Kansas State Wildcats upset the Oklahoma Sooners. This year the Wildcats were unranked, while Oklahoma was ranked 3rd nationally. Kansas State rallied from a 21-point deficit, and ended up winning the game by 3. The final score was 38-35.

Mississippi State (1-0) beat LSU (0-1) today 44-34. Mississippi QB K.J. Costello was 36 for 60, and threw for…get this…623 yards and 5 touchdowns! Yes, he threw for 623 yards against the 6th ranked Tigers.

Teams in the Big 10, Mountain West, Mid-American, and Pac-12, have not yet played. It looks like we’re in for a wild season, but at least we have a season. Having said that, I do agree with teams and players that decided to opt out this season.

It’s a Little Early, but….Halloween!

I must say, Halloween, the day itself, marks one of my favorite times of the year. I laugh to myself when I think about those warm October afternoons; rushing home after school to put my costume on, and preparing myself to get as much candy as possible. The candy! That’s what it was all about. Getting that candy. 🤣

Then, when I got older, I realized the generous people who opened their doors for me didn’t have to give candy at all. Yeah, I started analyzing the saying, “Trick or Treat.” 🤣 Trick or treat, say that a few times to yourself. As it turns out, they could’ve done a trick. Right? When we say, “Trick or Treat,” I think we’re giving them the option of doing something or giving us candy, but everyone gave candy. Did anyone ever get tricked? OMG, that’s so funny.

Where am I going with this-I do not know, but I just decided to dress up for Halloween this year. So yeah, I never got tricked, but I received a whole lot of candy.

This year, Halloween falls on a Saturday, Saturday, October 31st-the day before All Saints Day. I think what I love so much about Halloween is the deep tradition, which goes all the back to the ancient Celtic Festival of Samhain. The people would light bonfires and wear costumes to scare off ghosts.

Pope Gregory III, in the 8th century, designated the first day of November as a day to honor the saints; he named it All Saints Day, and he actually incorporated some of the old traditions of the Samhain Festival. Over time, Halloween evolved into what we have today; dressing up in costumes, trick or treating, and carving and painting pumpkins. ❤

Let’s not forget about mischief night! Okay, so Halloween got really weird when I left New Jersey because Pennsylvania doesn’t celebrate Halloween on the 31st. Don’t ask. Trick or treating actually takes place sometime before the 31st, but when I was younger and growing up in New Jersey, we as kids, would celebrate mischief night on the 30th, and then dress up and go out for candy on the 31st. If Halloween during that time fell on a Saturday, OH BOY! Watch out neighborhood because school got out on Friday, which meant Saturday we had no school, which meant we didn’t have to go to bed early, which also meant we could go out Friday night and participate in some mischievous activities. If Halloween fell on a Sunday, then mischief night became mischief day and night. 🤣 To be honest though, I don’t know if there was a mischief night that I didn’t get caught doing something stupid. I always got caught. One year, when I was in high school, my friends and I were driving around throwing eggs, and the cops caught us. Yup. The made us get out of the car and throw all the eggs we had at each other.

I don’t even know if mischief night is recognized anymore (what a shame how they’re robbing the younger generations of good times and fun), but if you do participate, have fun. Don’t be an asshole and ruin it for everyone else.

How could we have a discussion about Halloween and not talk about all the movies Halloween inspired-like John Carpenter’s Halloween, Scream, Ghostbusters, Casper, and It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.

For personal reasons, there are many people who chose not to celebrate Halloween, and that’s their choice and the beautiful thing about living in this country, but for me, I couldn’t imagine what a year would be like without it.

Social Distancing; Duh!

I went to pickup my paycheck today. I walk into the small office space, introduce myself at the window, and stand waiting for the next order. They tell me to sign the paper so they have proof I received my check. While I’m signing, another person walks into the office space.

Instead of standing in line behind me, she comes to my side. She’s standing two inches from my face and bumping me with her shoulder. The woman behind the counter is talking to this woman, and they’re laughing, while she’s basically pushing me out of the way.

The woman behind the counter then looks at me with a look like I’m doing something wrong, and I’m like are you kidding me? I turn to the girl next to me and say, “Can you at least say excuse me? You’re pushing me out of the way!” She didn’t say anything.

What the fuck is wrong with people? How rude can you be? I’m so happy social distancing is in effect because people like this women have no concept of personal space. Even before social distancing was a thing, I can remember people standing behind me hovering over my shoulder while I’m trying to pay for something at the store.

Yo! Back the fuck up!

You shouldn’t be so close to someone they can feel your breadth on their neck!

The Assassination of A. Lincoln

Leaping out of President Abraham Lincoln’s upper-deck seating section and through the air, John Wilkes Booth fired the shot that would eventually kill the president before landing on the stage and hurting his leg.

It was Good Friday, April 14th, 1865, the location was Ford’s Theatre in Washington, and not many people know this, but Our American Cousin was the play being performed on stage that night.

Lincoln died the next morning in a lodging house across the street from Ford’s Theatre. So many people wondered how this tragic event was even possible, and I guess some of the blame fell on the Washington police officer who was supposed to be guarding Lincoln. History tells us the assassination of the President took place moments after the officer left his post for either a drink or to get a better view of the play-either way, that looks terrible and screams setup, however, I don’t know if the officer was ever investigated for having something to do with the murder.

Immediately, martial law went into effect, and Washington was locked down. John Wilkes Booth was an actor, and supposedly he came from a family of famous actors, but his actions that night in 1865 weren’t fake. The manhunt was on, and it took almost a week before they caught up with Booth. Finally, they had him trapped in a tobacco-drying barn in Bowling Green, Virginia, but Booth wouldn’t surrender. He was shot and killed, although, he did not die immediately.

With everything going on in the country at the time, they said Abraham Lincoln became a hero in death, and even some of the most faithful and loyal Confederates mourned his passing. The murders of General Grant and Vice President Johnson were planned, but never carried out obviously.

There are some really freaky coincidences between the details surrounding the assassinations of both Lincoln and Kennedy, and you should definitely-definitely do some research. YouTube has a good video; it will leave you in shock!

Using the Pandemic to F!@k You!

Online publication, The Mon Valley Independent (whatever that means), published an article written by Taylor Brown discussing rule changes for Pennsylvania bars and resturants.

Written in the article: On Thursday, Gov Tom Wolf and Health Secretary Dr. Rachael Levine signed new orders loosing restrictions on alcohol sales, but not by much.

Last week, Wolf announced that bars and restaurants could increase their indoor seating capacity from 25% to 50% starting Monday-if they go through an online self-certification process by October 5th-and force on-premise alcohol consumption to end at 10 p.m.

I don’t own a bar or restaurant in Pennsylvania, but if I did, I’d probably be standing outside the Governor’s office right now.

If there’s a better example of the Government using the current pandemic conditions to infringe further into the lives of private business owners someone please show me.

You want bar and restaurant owners to stop serving alcohol by 10 p.m…..WHY? I’m interested in how that’s going to prevent the spread of a pandemic you’re clearly taking advantage of now.

And….a self-certification process for what?

Ten years ago someone said reeducation camps, and everyone laughed and said, “Yeah right! What is this Nazi Germany?”

Okay, so they’re not physically putting anyone into a caged camp, but what do you think forcing you to stay in your home and take online courses is?

I didn’t watch the NFL, but I heard their was two different National Anthems sung or played before one of the games. I couldn’t believe it. TWO DIFFERENT NATONAL ANTHEMS? That means we no longer live in the United States of America…Where do we live then?

I don’t know, I’m asking.

Team owners, coaches, and the NFL front office should be ashamed of themselves for letting politics and agenda driven propaganda destroy one of the greatest and most meaningful sports ever.

2,400 English Cents

With the current trend of ripping down and destroying statues representing the history of the United States, I’m finding it more important than ever to talk about our history. In the 1600’s, when the colonies were forming, the North American Continent was occupied by Native American Indians.

A man named Peter Minuit was chosen by the early Dutch settlers as the leader of New Amsterdam, which today, we know as Manhattan. As the story goes, Minuit met with the local Indian chiefs and a deal was reached.

For two boxes of trade goods and 2,400 English cents, the Dutch purchased Manhattan. 2,400 English cents is equivalent to $24. With all the money made in Manhattan today, and the outrageous cost of acreage, the $24 sale will forever go down in history as one of the best deals ever.

Despite the sale, New Amsterdam remained New Amsterdam. It did not become Manhattan until the English showed up and stole it from the Dutch. The Dutch had a lot to offer. Among their many contributions, it was the Dutch, in defense against local Indians, who built the wall in lower Manhattan-the same wall that’s credited for the name Wall Street, but their ownership of the land was short lived.

News Now

Good morning everyone, today is Tuesday, September 15th. I worked all day yesterday; it was a long day. I woke up at 4:30 a.m., ran forty minutes to the bus stop, and worked until 6 o’clock in the evening. When I left work and walked outside, I was hit with this wave of cool-fresh air, and immediately, I had this rush of memories and emotions.

The air had a smell that brought back a warm-loving feeling that I haven’t felt in quite some time. I love the Fall season, but it’s not only about the beautiful crisp weather or the leaves changing colors; I feel like some of my most memorable experiences happened between September and December.

So yeah we have another week, and it will be autumn. The leaves will be changing colors, the warm humid air will give way to coolness, and jeans and sweatshirts will replace shorts and t-shirts.

🌞On my way home from work, I exited the highway ramp, came up and around to the traffic light, and wham! Right in front me was the biggest softest sun I had ever seen. It was pleasing and easy on the eyes as you could look right at it and not have to squint. It was a perfect circle colored in with creamy pastels of orange and pink. It was amazing. Currently, the sun is in the astrological sign of Virgo.

🌙The moon is in Leo, where it will remain for the rest of the day, and tomorrow it will be moving into Virgo. (Don’t you love when the sun and moon occupy the same sign?)

🏈Monday Night Football. The Pittsburgh Steelers won last night beating the New York Giants 26-16. Pittsburgh running back Benny Snell rushed for 113 yards on 19 carries, and QB Ben Roethlisberger threw for 229 yards and 3 touchdowns.

🎤I’d like to give a shout out. Well, it’s actually a thank you to Lyft for providing incredible ride service. I’ve been using Lyft for about three years now.

⚾MLB After getting swept by the Kansas City Royals, the Pittsburgh Pirates lost again yesterday to the Cincinnati Reds, 4-9.

👽Did you ever see the movie Fire In The Sky? It was about the alien abduction of a man named Travis Walton that occurred on November 5th in 1975. While working in an Apache National Forest in Arizona, Walton and his crew spotted a UFO hovering in the woods. Walton got out of his truck and approached the strange craft, but was violently blown 10 to 20 feet back into the air. In a panic, his crew left him for dead, but they decided to turn around and come back for him, but it was too late. Travis and the craft were gone. There’s a show called Midnight in the Desert hosted by the legendary Art Bell that’s on You Tube, and Art Bell interviews Travis Walton. If you’re interested in UFO’s and alien abduction, listening to this is a must.
