Dichotomy – A Short Story of Good and Evil

Part 2

Chapter Nine

The Gods have always had a relationship with humans, and although most of the sleeping population prayed to Baxter, never in their wildest dreams would they imagine him traveling to Earth.

The sleeping population was far beyond the good men and women working Area 31, but those working in Area 31 of course had the advantage of knowing everything that was going on. Within Area 31 there were several different branches or divisions, and Gary, was now the head of the Celestial Crimes Unit.

He took Commander Bright’s position, and that means he now gets his instructions and intellect directly from General Randall Reddi.  In addition, General Reddi planned a special briefing to bring Gary up-to-date on previous missions and information that was kept from him.  This obviously includes the story behind the Scale, Baxter, Gary, and everything that went on at his home. The unfortunate truth is that when Gary was initially hired by Bright, he was the unit’s pawn. It wasn’t anything personal towards Gary, he was a rookie, and his innocence was invaluable in major investigations.

Several years before joining the CCU, Gary was a single man looking for a way to survive in a world coming to life around him.  He needed direction, and frequently he joked about meeting a good strong woman to come home to.  A woman that would be his rock. Gary didn’t know it at the time, but he was being watched or scouted, and despite his feelings of being lost, he was being guided by an unseen hand nudging him towards a career with the CCU.

That hand belonged to General Reddi, and the good strong woman he joked about meeting belonged to Reddi as well.  I guess it would be unfair to say Maureen was apart of his hiring package since she actually feel in love with Gary before meeting him. Maureen was a Private Special Missions Officer, and she worked for General Reddi. Observing Gary and helping from a distance was her responsibility, until her love for him  caused the General to head back to the planning board.

Swatizka Map?!

My birthday just passed last month, and one of my gifts was a Nintendo.  It’s kind of a joke, since my parents bought me the original console 34 years ago, (WOW!)but it brings back so many memories from my childhood.

The revised mini version of today contains 30 original video game classics already programmed in it so you don’t even have to worry about purchasing the games.

Anyways, one of the games included was Zelda.  I was was so excited, and started playing, but when I got to Level 3, I realized something I didn’t notice as a kid.

The Level 3 map is a Swatzika.  Who knows if it was done accidentally, as a joke,  or as part of some kind of child mind programming conspiracy, but it’s there and it’s definitely a Swatztika.

I’m going to play on, but I just wanted to bring some attention and awareness to the issue.  Are you as shocked as I am?

Hockey In The Valley

In case you live in the Lehigh Valley and you’re a hockey fan falling behind on recent events, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms played at home this evening against the Scranton Penguins.

They play home this Friday, March 15, against the Providence Bruins, and Saturday the 16th as well against the Toronto Marlies.

Home is the PPL Center located at 701 Hamilton Street in Allentown.  Gates open at 6:00 pm both nights.

Pennsylvania’s King George Inn

The King George Inn was built in 1756 and served a place of refuge during the French and Indian War.  According to history France and England were fighting in America over territory, but both sides were being scalped by local Indian Tribes.

From a paranormal standpoint, the Inn is haunted by several ghosts.  According to hauntedhouses.com, there are five ghosts to be precise.  Charlie is an entity who hung himself but now likes to play jokes on the people currently working there in the kitchen.  There is also a male entity with a beard, a Revolutionary soldier, and a female and little girl draped in colonial clothing.

Historically, I’m pretty sure the Inn was built and named after George II.  George II was the King of Great Britain and Ireland.  He was also the Duke of Brunswick-Luneburg, and prince-elector of the Holy Roman Empire.  King George II died in 1760.

Get To The Bottom Of It

I think it’s really interesting how infatuated we are with space, and I must admit, I’m one of these people. Well, I can be. My interest for it comes and goes, but there is always a curiosity that lingers.

When we look up into the sky our minds seem to just wonder in amazement. Oh the possibilities are endless, and they don’t have to be from a scientific standpoint either. Just think about past civilizations and cultures that were so rich in mythological lore, and how they even used the sun and moon as instruments for measuring time.

What’s really interesting however, is that I often think we are stretching ourselves thin with space knowledge. I mean before we can become masters of another domain shouldn’t we conquer our own first?

On June 8th, 2011, there was an article published on livescience.com titled “Mysteries of the Ocean Remain Vast and Deep.” Besides for mentioning June had been declared National Oceans Month, it also gave some very interesting statistics. As of year 2000, NOAA estimated 95% of oceans and 99% of ocean floors are still unexplored.

I think that’s incredible considering how eager we are to learn about ourselves as a species. Why do we spend so much time trying to get to places we’ve never been and can’t really get to without science and technology? Before science and technology we were still here standing around pretty much, but somehow we’ve learned both. We also been around way longer than cars and other vehicles. For a very long time we traveled the seas by boat. Can you imagine what’s probably laying on the ocean floor?

I think the keys to our history, origin, and evolution or creation are right here on good old earth. Everything starts from the ground and moves upward so wouldn’t it make sense to start on the ocean floor?

Some people laugh or say its not important when we talk about the spraying of chemicals in our skies, but the incident that made this topic important was the connection between naturally grown tobacco products and cancer. Was it the tobacco killing us or the chemicals that were sprayed on the tobacco?  Well, I guess we wouldn’t know until they stop spraying.

I doesn’t make sense to me that anything grown from our Earth can be unhealthy for us.  Think about everything we grow for consumption.  It’s all natural, and therefore we humans have a need for it.  From food to medicine and narcotics, I don’t think any of it can be harmful unless the ground is contaminated or it’s sprayed with chemicals.

Finally, the Philadelphia 76ers pulled a game ahead of the Boston Celtics.  Yesterday, the 76ers squeaked by the Pelicans 111-110.  The win improved their record to 39-22,and they moved up to 4th overall in the Eastern Conference.

The Penn State Nittany Lion Wrestling team was perfect this season finishing 14-0 in dual meets.  The Big Ten Wrestling Championships begin on March 9th, and the NCAA Championships on the 21st.

Recently I took interest in Neptune mainly because of its approximate 14-year stay in astrological houses and signs.  It’s fun when planets hang around for a while because it’s easier to examine trends.

Anyways, to my surprise there was an article recently published in the USA Today that discussed a recent discovery of a new tiny moon, Hippocamp, orbiting Neptune.  It’s Neptune’s smallest moon measuring 21 miles in diameter.  How about that?  That’s the 14th moon now known to be in Neptune’s orbit.

In case you weren’t outside today, it was absolutely gorgeous here in the Lehigh Valley.  Around 2 o’clock my phone said 46 degrees, but it felt more like 65 in the sun.  I walk, and today was the first time in a while that I was able to leave my scarf and gloves at home.  Not bad for February.

The 76ers are still in 5th place in the Easteen Conference.  Currently they’re tied with the 4th place Boston Celtics, both are 37-21.  Tonight the 76ers play the Miami Heat at 7 o’clock.
