Feature Game Analysis, College Football Week 10

Welcome back everyone.  This is our College Football Week 10 Feature Game Analysis.  This week we’ll look in depth at the game between SMU and Memphis.

Feature Game Analysis

(15)SMU at Memphis

Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday night, November 2nd at 7:30 pm.  SMU is on the road, traveling to the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tennessee where they’re 5.5 point underdogs.  SMU, in my opinion, is the better team here so for them to be underdogs against Memphis would only be because they’re on the road.  Nevertheless, that’s interesting.

SMU is very good  They’re undefeated (8-0) and ranked fifteenth nationally.  The Mustangs have played several close games this season including that three overtime win against Tulsa, but they won them all.  That’s what they do.  They’re also ranked 12th overall in total offense registering 504 yards per game.

RB Xavier Jones (884 yards/14 touchdowns) is a workhorse.  He’s averaging 110 yards per game and 5.4 yards per carry.  That gives the Mustang offense balance and confidence, and the result?  QB Shane Buechele passed for 2,325 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Memphis is home, and obviously having home field advantage is huge for them this week.  They’re (7-1) overall, with their only loss coming at the hands of Temple.  I know that hurts, but all they can do is keep winning, and they’ve done just that.

Memphis can play with SMU, but they need to prove that saturday.  I always end up rooting for the underdog, but I actually like SMU this season.

SMU -5.5

Well, that wraps up our analysis of SMU and Memphis.  Thank you for checking back.  As you can see, we’re picking SMU to straight up win this weekend on the road against Memphis.  We’re also picking SMU lending 5.5, as we expect to improve our record versus the spread to 5-3-1.  Alright, it’s college football week 10 coming up this weekend, Saturday, November 2nd.  Have a great weekend!

Table Seven Top 6, NCAA College Football Week 10

We would like to welcome everyone to the http://noozbuffet.com Table Seven Top 6.  It is college football week 10.

Table Seven Top 6

  1. West Virginia at Baylor- Tonight, October 31st, at 8:00pm, West Virginia and Baylor kickoff in Waco, Texas.  Baylor is undefeated and expects to remain undefeated after playing the 3-4 Mountaineers.
  2. Virginia Tech at (16)Notre Dame- The Hokies travel to Indiana to take on the Fighting Irish.  Both teams are 5-2, but Notre Dame finds themselves in a must win situation after losing to Michigan last week.  V-Tech could break into the Top 25 with a win this week.
  3. (8)Georgia At (6)Florida- The 6-1 Bulldogs travel to the Swamp in Jacksonville, Florida to play the 7-1 Gators.  Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 pm, Saturday afternoon.  Florida is a 6.5 point underdog at home.  What could be sweeter for Georgia than a win on the road against Florida?
  4.  (9)Utah at Washington- The 5-3 Huskies are home this weekend, Saturday, November 2nd.  Utah is in first place in the PAC-12 South, and as good as the Huskies can be, I don’t expect Utah to lose this game.  (Not this late in the season with national rankings and playoff hopes in sight.)
  5. (15)SMU at Memphis- The (7-1) Memphis Tigers are shocking a lot of people this season, but they’ll have a legitimate test Saturday night, November 2nd.  SMU is undefeated (8-0), and they don’t give a fu*k.  SMU is good, but on the flip side, with a win this week, Memphis could prove that early season loss to Temple was nothing more than a fluke.
  6. (7)Oregon at USC- Saturday night, November 2nd, the Ducks and the Trojans kickoff in Los Angeles.  Oregon is in first place in the PAC-12 North, and they’re 2-0 on the road this season.  USC is 5-3 overall and look for a big upset this weekend despite being 4.5 point underdogs at home.

Okay everyone.  Thank you for reading along.  Don’t forget to check back this afternoon at 3:00 pm for the http://noozbuffet.com Feature Game Analysis.  Coming up, it’s college football week 10, and we’re looking to improve our record to 5-3-1 versus the spread.

Feature Game Follow up, NCAA College Football Week 9

Well, we picked UCF to win the game.  We said if it turned into a shootout, Temple would not win, and they didn’t.  We did however, think the game was going to be a lot closer than it was.  We’re now 4-3-1 versus the spread.  BOOOOOOO!  Why didn’t we just pick Michigan again?

UCF @ Temple

Last night I Tweeted, “I don’t understand how Temple can be the only team to beat Memphis, and then lose to UCF by 42 at home.”  There’s probably not a better way to start this follow up so, I say again….

I don’t understand how Temple can be the only team to beat Memphis and then lose to UCF by 42 at home?  The final score of last night’s game was 63-21, and UCF improved their overall record to 6-2.  They also gained some leadway over the now 5-3 Owls in the American Athletic-East Division, but both teams still tail first place Cincinnati.

The Golden Knights dominated Temple last night, and UCF might not be that undefeated team who’s knocking on the playoff door, like they were last year, but they’re still very good.  UCF’s defense picked off Temple QB Anthony Russo twice, and they held RB Ray Davis to 26 yards on 12 carries!  That’s 2.2 yards per carry!

Temple’s Senior RB Jager Gardner was held to 13 yards on 11 carries!  Gardner did have a touchdown though, but still man, that’s 39 yards of rushing between both of them.

QB Dillon Gabriel was sensational last night.  He completed 10 passes for 218 yards, and he tossed 3 touchdown passes (no interceptions).  UCF was also able to run the ball at will last night.  RB Otis Anderson (1 td) rushed for 205 yards on 17 carries, and teammate Bentavious Thompson (2 touchdowns) rushed for another 87.

Temple was held scoreless in the second half.  Next week, Temple plays South Florida.

It was another week of good college football.  We saw Penn State beat Michigan State 28-7, and we also saw Minnesota manhandle Maryland 52-10.  What about Ohio State?  The Buckeyes dominated Wisconsin 38-7, and all three remain perfect in the Big 10. This was also a weekend of upsets.  TCU beat (15)Texas 37-27, Kansas State won 48-41 against the number five Sooners, and Oklahoma State beat (23)Iowa State 34-27.  Breaking into the Top 25 seems to be Iowa’s curse because every time they do, they lose.  What the heck?  Alright everyone, we’ll see you Thursday.  Don’t forget, on Halloween, Thursday, October 31st, it’s the Table Seven Top 6 in the morning at 6 o’clock, and the Feature Game Analysis in the afternoon at 3:00 pm.  NCAA College Football Week 10 coming up!  Have a good week.

Feature Game Analysis, NCAA College Football Week 9

What’s going on?  How’s err’body feeling?  Guess what?  We’re about to go 5-2-1 versus the spread.  🔥🔥💲💰💰  I like Tulane over Navy, and I liked Boston College getting 35.5 against Clemson, but we’re going with the UCF and Temple game this week, and here it is, the https://noozbuffet.com, Feature Game Analysis.  This is NCAA College Football Week 9.

UCF @ TEMPLE

Central Florida is away this week at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7 o’clock Saturday night, October 26th.  Temple is a 10.5 point underdog at home.

Both teams play in the American Athletic Conference, and both trail Cincinnati.  Temple and UCF share the same stats when it comes to records with the exception of Temple losing last week and UCF winning, but respectively, it’s Temple in second place, and UCF in 3rd.

Last week Temple lost to SMU 45-21, (hahaha) and I’m laughing because SMU is very good.  They don’t give a fu*k!  Temple is hot too though, and Temple was rolling until that game last week.  Personally, I don’t think they were ready.  Ill-prepared is the word I was thinking of.

So, the Owls are 5-2 now overall.  QB Anthony Russo has help in senior WR Isaiah Wright, who leads the team with 5 touchdowns.  Wright has the ability to stretch defenses.  Junior WR Jadan Blue is a contributor and currently, he’s leading Temple in receptions with 42.  He also has 529 total yards receiving.  Russo (14 TD’s, 1,674 yards passing) is a senior, and he needs to take over the leadership role this weekend.  He’s 6’4 and 235 pounds, he’s not a little guy.  He’s a big guy that needs to play big and without mistakes.

In the backfield, Temple features freshman, Re’Mahn (Ray) Davis.  Davis averages 5.1 yards per carry.  He has a good combination of power and speed at 5’9 210 pounds.

Defensively, senior LB Sean Bradley (57 total tackles) can be menacing, but SMU really exploited their secondary last week.  They’ll have to tighten up back there.

Once upon a time…UCF was ranked 15th in the country.  Last week the Golden Knights beat East Carolina 41-28.  UCF is ranked 3rd in the country in total offense with 553 yards per game!  They’re also ranked 8th in passing yards (341 yards per game), but there’s something interesting going on in the backfield.

Junior RB Greg McCrae leads the team in carries (72).  He also has 6 touchdowns and guarantees 5.6 yards every time he touches the ball, but the Golden Knights have four speedy guys back there who combine for 1,359 yards of rushing offense.  They’re fast.

UCF has a freshman at QB, but Dillion Gabriel is playing like a straight up vet.  He passed for 2,000 yards already, and he has 17 touchdowns.  Like I said, Temple needs to play better in the secondary this week.

At WR, UCF has a stud in junior Gabriel Davis.  Davis (6’3 215) is big, he’s fast, and he’s productive.  He’s averaging 119 yards per game, and he has 10 touchdowns.

Temple is home this week, and when the Owls play home, they play with passion.  The question is can they slow down Central Florida’s offense.  If this game turns into a shootout, I don’t think Temple can win.  If Temple can control UCF’s offense, they have a shot.  I think UCF wins a close one here.

Table Seven Top 6, NCAA College Football Week 9

🏈Welcome to Week 9 of the NCAA College Football Season.  As always, the schedule is loaded with great matchups, but we only pick 6.  I hope everyone is having a great week, now let’s get into it, and see what this weekend has in store for us.  🏈

  1. (2)LSU at (9)Auburn-Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday, October 26th at 3:30.  LSU is home at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge.  The Tigers are now ranked second in the country after winning last week 36-13 against Mississippi State.  They had two very big wins this season against (15)Texas and (7)Florida!  Florida was red hot at the time.  Up next for LSU is (9)Auburn, and then it’s (1)Alabama.  Ninth ranked Auburn is 6-1, and last week they blew out Arkansas 51-10.  They did lose to Florida, but they’re still the only team to beat Oregon.
  2. (13)Wisconsin at (3)Ohio State- I’m an Ohio State fan, and I couldn’t wait for this game.  It would’ve been better if Wisconsin was still undefeated, but hey, it’s still a matchup that’s going to reveal some much needed information about both teams.  Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at 12:00 in Columbus, Ohio.  The Badgers are 6-1 and they’re in 2nd place in the Big 10 West.  Up until last week’s huge upset loss to Illinois 23-24, the 2019 Badgers had us thinking about the good old days of RB Ron Dayne and Head Coach, Barry Alverez.  It’s really tough though to take a loss like that right before playing an undefeated Ohio State team because a six game winning streak could be forgotten very easily in the world of college football after two straight losses.  This is a must win for Wisconsin.  Sophomore linebacker Jack Sanborn is up to 57 tackles and 3.5 sacks, and the Badgers are going to need nothing short of excellence out of their defense this week.  The Buckeyes are 7-0 and they’re in 1st place in the Big 10 East.  Last week they beat Northwestern 52-3, and that has pretty much been the story for every team that played the Buckeyes this season.  The fact that Cincinnati is the only ranked team they’ve beaten however, has some people whispering upset, but with the 7th ranked offense averaging 527 yards per game, I don’t think Buckeye fans are concerned.
  3. (8)Notre Dame at (19)Michigan- The Fighting Irish and the Wolverines is a rivalry game.  It is.  Kickoff will be at 7:30 Saturday night, October 26th in Ann Arbor.  Notre Dame is 5-1 and 1st in the Independents.  Last week they beat rebuilding USC 30-27, and earlier this season they recovered nicely from a Georgia loss by beating Virginia 35-20.  The Fighting Irish are averaging 450 yards per game on offense.  Quarterback Ian Book is completing 63% of his passes and has thrown for 14 touchdowns.  RB Tony Jones Jr, has 80 carries for 557 yards and 4 touchdowns.  Michigan is coming off a disappointing 28-21 loss to Penn State, but what’s even worse is they now have two losses, which could turn into four with Notre Dame and Ohio State still left to play.  They’ll need a good defensive effort, and zero mistakes on offense this week.  Last week Shea Patterson was held without a touchdown, and he was picked off once so Michigan will also need a better effort from their quarterback.  WR Ronnie Bell has been playing good, and we thought he was ready for a breakout game last week, but he let that pass slip through his hands late in the game, which could’ve tied the game.  Like I said, no mistakes this week.
  4. Boston College at (4)Clemson- This game will start Saturday night, October 26th at 7:30 at Memorial Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina.  Boston College is 4-3 and ranked 3rd in the Atlantic Coast Atlantic Division.  Clemson is undefeated (7-0) and they’re in 1st place.  I think it was like two weeks ago when we made that joke about Clemson being the only team that keeps winning and keeps going down in the rankings, LOL, but it’s true.
  5. Liberty at Rutgers- The Liberty Flames travel to Piscataway, New Jersey Saturday, October 26th for a 12:00, high noon kickoff.  Liberty is 5-2.  They lost to Syracuse 24-0, and 35-14 to the Louisiana Rajun’ Cajuns.  Offensively, the Flames throw for 265 yards per game.  QB Stephen Calvert completed 137 passes in 224 attempts.  He has 1,920 yards passing and 15 touchdowns.  RB Frankie Hickson has 418 yards rushing with 3 touchdowns.  Rutgers will be a tough opponent for them?  I don’t know much about Liberty, but I worked in New Brunswick, New Jersey during Greg Schiano’s days at Rutgers.  That city was on fire at the time!  C’mon Rutgers!  You’re better than 1-6!  Bring some pride back to Jersey.  Last week Rutgers lost 42-7 to Minnesota.
  6. (5)Oklahoma State at Kansas State- Saturday afternoon at 12 o’clock in Manhattan, Kansas, the Sooners and the Wildcats will take the field.  Kansas State is 4-2 and 5th in the Big 12.  Last week they beat TCU 24-17.  QB Skyler Thompson completed 80 of 133 passes, but a 60% completion rating isn’t very good. He also had 994 yards and 7 touchdowns.  That isn’t very good either.  RB James Gilbert gets most of the carries, and he’s averaging 5.2 yards per carry with 4 touchdowns.  Oklahoma State is 7-0 and in first place in the Big 12.  Last week they beat West Virginia 52-14.  The Sooners are an absolute machine on offense.  In the Country, they’re ranked 10th in passing, 14th in rushing, and 2nd overall with 612 yards per game.   K-State can’t afford another loss, but a win isn’t likely this week.  Oklahoma’s QB Jalen Hurts has 20 touchdowns and 2,074 yards this season.  His completion percentage is 74%.  Oklahoma is darn good.

Okay everyone.  Thank you for checking in to read the Table Seven Top 6 of NCAA College Football Week 9.  If you guys want to write in to discuss our picks, or discuss games you’re looking forward to that we didn’t pick, please do.  We not only welcome that, but we encourage your feedback.  As always, don’t forget to check back this afternoon at 3:00 for the Feature Game Analysis, and our pick versus the spread as we attempt to go 5-2-1 when the money is on the line.  🏈💰💰💲🔥🔥🔥

Feature Game Follow Up; Michigan @ Pennsylvania State University

Good morning.  Our Featured Game this weekend was Michigan versus Penn State.  Penn State was home, and yes, they were 9 point favorites.  We felt nine was way too much for a team like Penn State to be giving, and it was.  The final score was 28-21 Penn State did win the game, but Michigan covered the spread.  Table Seven is now 4-2-1 when it comes to the money.  💰💸💵🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.

It was a 7:30 kickoff last night for Michigan and Penn State, and when it was all said and done, Penn State won by a touchdown.  The final score was 28-21, and the Wolverines left University Park with their second loss.  They’re now 5-2.  Penn State is 7-0!  Yes, they’re still undefeated, and 1st in the Big 10 East.

Penn State jumped out to 21-0 lead, but Zach Carbonnet (15 Carries, 81 yards, and 2 touchdowns) broke off a 12 yard run for Michigan’s first score.  It was 21-7 going into the locker room at halftime.  Most of the the third quarter was a defensive struggle with Michigan’s RB Zach Charbonnet scoring once again with time winding down.  It was 21-14, Penn State was winning.

Michigan never had the lead in this game as Penn State’s QB Sean Clifford opened up the fourth quarter with a 53 touchdown yard pass to KJ Hamler and Penn State was up by two touchdowns.

Late in the game, Michigan had a chance to bring the score even, but Ronnie Bell let a Shea Patterson pass slip through his hands in the end zone with 2:01 left to play.

Penn State QB Sean Clifford threw for 183 yards and 3 touchdowns.  He also led the team with 17 yards rushing.  KJ Hamler had 6 catches for 108 yards and touchdowns.

Michigan’s QB Shea Patterson threw for 276 yards, but he was picked off once, and he had zero touchdowns.

You have to give it to Penn State.  They’re slowly rising to a level Coach Franklin began setting his sight on last season.  After Illinois upset Wisconsin yesterday, it makes the fact that Penn State is undefeated that much more special.  That’s two wins now, back to back, against two ranked opponents.  They still have to play Minnesota and Ohio State, both teams are 7-0 right now, and a very good Michigan State team.

The last half of this season is going to be electric!

Thank you for checking in today, Sunday, October 20th. It was a wonderful weekend of football.  How about Illinois upsetting Wisconsin!  SMU won, and I was rooting for Tulane, but Memphis was too much.  We hope everyone has a great week, and we’ll see everyone Thursday morning, October 24th, at 6am for the Table Seven Top 6, and again in the afternoon at 3pm for the Feature Game Analysis.  It’s NCAA College Football Week 9 coming up.

NCAA College Football Week 8

MICHIGAN @ PENN STATE

Saturday night at 7:30, October 19th, the Michigan Wolverines and the Penn State Nittany Lions will get it on at Beaver Stadium.  Yes, Penn State is home and favored by 9 points.

(16)Michigan is 5-1, and believe me, they don’t want to be 5-2.  Despite travelling to Pennsylvania, Michigan will be playing with tremendous confidence this weekend, and not just because of that win over Iowa.  In their last five meetings, Michigan is 4-1.  Last season, Michigan bitched Penn State 42-7.  The Wolverines will not be taking Penn State lightly, but when they step on the field with the Nittany Lions, they’ll step with a sense of..”yeah, we’re here too, what’s up?”  COnfidence.

Penn State is undefeated (6-0), and they’re ranked seventh in the country.  There’s a lot to talk about if you’re a Penn State fan, but here’s what they’re not mentioning; Idaho, Buffalo, Pitt, Maryland, Purdue, Iowa.  Those are the six teams Penn State beat this season so you tell me,  who besides Iowa is even worth mentioning.  Okay, maybe Pitt, but Pitt is a 4-2 team that will probably finish the year with 5 or 6 loses.

Penn State?  Unproven.  The only thing we know about Penn State is Jan Johnson has 44 tackles.

Short and sweet is this week’s theme.  We think Michigan will travel to Pennsylvania and upset Penn State this Saturday.  We also believe Michigan will cover that 9 point spread and bring us to 4-2-1 versus the spread this season.  Thank you so much for following us this week, and reading both the Table Seven Top 6, and the Feature Game Analysis.  Have a great weekend, and don’t forget to check back Sunday for the Feature Game Follow Up.

Table Seven Top 6; NCAA College Football Week 8

It’s week 8, and before we all know it, playoff time will be here.  Let us not rush though, football season goes way too fast as it is.  There are some very interesting matchups this week, and for some of those two loss teams, it’s survival mode.  Three losses only works if you’re Notre Dame or Oklahoma, but I digress.  Welcome to week 8 of the NCAA College Football season and the noozbuffet.com …..

🏈…Table Seven Top 6 🏈

  1. (4)OHIO STATE @ NORTHWESTERN- This game between the Wildcats and the Buckeyes will kickoff Friday night, October 18th at 8:30.  Northwestern is 1-4, and Ohio State is 6-0.  Last week Northwestern lost 13-10 against Nebraska, the same Nebraska team Ohio State beat in Lincoln 48-7.  Northwestern is a 28 point underdog at home, which means no one expects them to even come close to winning this game.  They’re at home too!  Oh boy, this could be along afternoon for the Wildcats, but with all the negativity surrounding them, I can say this, they’re one of the only teams to score on that invincible WIsconsin defense.
  2. (12)OREGON @ (25)WASHINGTON- Oregon and Washington will kickoff Saturday afternoon, October 19th, at 3:30.  This is one of three games I’m really looking forward to this weekend.  For some reason, I really like Washington this year, but with two losses already this game is super-duper important.  A must win for the Huskies.  Oregon is 5-1, and they’re in first place in the PAC 12 North.  Washington is 4-2, and they’re in second place in the PAC 12 North.  It’s a PAC 12 rivalry game, and if Washington wins they put themselves right back in the mix of things (at least a 5-2 tie for first place).  Last week the Ducks beat Colorado down 45-3, and since that opening day loss to Auburn, they’ve handled business.  Let us not forget that win against a ranked Cal team two weeks ago 17-7.  Washington was victorious against Arizona last week, they won 51-27.  They lost to Cal and Stanford.  Stanford is the only team Northwestern beat, which means something isn’t adding up here.  Washington is a 3 point underdog at home, but I feel like that’s not enough.  Oregon’s QB Justin Herbert has over 1,600 yards passing, 17 touchdowns, and only 1 interception.  Washington has a stud as well at quarterback, Jacob eason.  Statistically, these teams match up evenly, but it all comes down to Saturday of course.
  3. TEMPLE @ (19)SMU- Temple and SMU play Saturday, October 19th, at 3:30.  SMU is no joke, and they have the ranking (19) and record (6-0) to back that up.  That’s right, they’re ranked 19th, and they’re 6-0.  Undefeated and perfect!  SMU is home this week in Dallas where they’re 7.5 point favorites, and playing fresh off a bye week.  Two weeks ago they had that 3-overtime scare to Tulsa, but they escaped with a 43-37 win.  The Mustangs have been nothing short of exciting this season and they seem to be getting better every week.  They’re ranked 15th overall in total offense with 498 yards per game, but let’s shine the spotlight on running back Xavier Jones for a moment.  Jones is averaging 5.7 yards per carry and he has 12 touchdowns.  With wide receivers Reggie Roberson Jr. and James Proche added to the mix the Mustangs have a very balanced offense.  Temple is another team that’s hot right now.  They’re 5-1, and even though they’re not ranked, they are in first place in the American Athletic East Division.  Last week the Owls had a huge upset over Memphis 30-28, but it was that win earlier in the season against Maryland that got the ball rolling and their confidence up.  On defense, CB Harrison Hand is leading the team with 47 tackles, I don’t know if that’s good with him being a corner and all, but it’s working, and this week Temple will need all the hands they can get.  (I crack me up!)
  4. (17)ARIZONA STATE @ (13)UTAH- This game will kickoff at 6 o’clock Saturday evening, in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Utah is a 13.5 point favorite at home against the Sun Devils.  Currently, both teams are 5-1 and share first place in the PAC 12 South Division.  After this week, there will only be one true first place team, and that’s what makes this game so exciting.  Last week Utah beat Oregon State 52-7.  They’re averaging 467 yards per game in total offense, and QB Tyler Huntley is completing 75% of his passes.  His backup is completing 100% of his passes (yeah man, he’s 6 for 6).  Utah’s defense is led by stud linebackers Francis Bernard (64 tackles, 2 int’s) and Devin Lloyd (67 tackles, 3 sacks).  Both of them have touchdowns off of interceptions.  I think Arizona State will play much better than a lot of people expect.  They beat Washington State last week 38-34, but they caught my eye with an early season win over Michigan State, and again when they beat Cal 24-17.  Senior WR Brandon Aiyuk can make plays at 6’1 and 210 pounds.  He has 651 yards receiving and 5 touchdowns.  Running back Eno Benjamin is averaging 4.2 yards per carry.
  5. (16)MICHIGAN @ (7)PENN STATE- Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday night, October 19th at 7:30.  Penn State is home at Beaver Stadium where they’re 9 point favorites.  The Michigan Wolverines are 5-1 right now, and last week they beat Illinois 42-25.  Two weeks ago they beat Iowa 10-3.  We know Michigan has a very good defense, especially against the pass.  On offense, Zach Charbonnet is averaging 4.2 yards per carry, and WR Nico Collins is still the go-to-guy, but now we’re seeing Sophomore WR Ronnie Bell come to life.  Michigan’s only loss this season was to undefeated Wisconsin, a team Penn State is lucky not to have on their schedule.  If Michigan wants to be successful this week they’ll have to limit mistakes and turnovers, and play the type of game they played against Iowa (with a little more offense going on).  Last season Michigan won this game 42-7, and they’re 4-1 in their last 5 games against the Nittany Lions.  Penn State is 6-0, and they beat Iowa last week 17-12 on the road.  That was big, and it sets the stage for this game against Michigan.  I think 9 points is a lot in this game, and I know Penn State is ranked 7th in the country, but c’mon.  Iowa was the first game they played all season.  Penn State is still unproven at this point, in my opinion.  If they beat Michigan this week, okay.  Then we got something.
  6.   (3)CLEMSON @ LOUISVILLE- This game is scheduled for Saturday, October 19th, at 12 o’clock in Kentucky.  Clemson is undefeated (6-0), and they’re in first place in the Atlantic Coast- Atlantic Division.  Louisville is 4-2, and they’re in 2nd place in the same division.  Once again, we have another game where it’s a first place team playing a second place team in a division, but sometimes we lose sight of that with records and national rankings.  The National Championship stage has become so big, it sometimes overshadows these conference and divisional struggles that are really the essence of college football.  It seems like Louisville shouldn’t even be in the ball park with Clemson because the Tigers are ranked 3rd in the Nation, but here they are in second place.  For Louisville, I know their goal is first place in the division, which means they’ll be playing like they have something to play for this weekend.  Lask week Louisville beat Wake Forest 62-59. and they’re averaging 489 yards per game on offense.  That’s 23rd in the country.  RB Javian Hawkins has 111 carries for 622 yards (103 yards per game).  Clemson beat Florida State last week 45-14 for their 6th win, and as much as I would like to see an upset, I don’t think it’s going to be this week.  Clemson is ranked 31st in rushing offense and 18th overall in total yards.  Trevor Lawrence does throw interceptions, but Clemson is a solid team.  Hey, they are 3rd in the Country.  As a matter of fact, they’re like the only team that keeps winning but keeps going down in the rankings.  Huh?

How about that list?  I’m really looking forward to the Michigan game.  Penn State is still undefeated, and Michigan only has one loss.  Temple and SMU will be a banger.  SMU is on fire, and luck is on their side right now, but don’t sleep on Temple.  Alright, I hope everyone has a wonderful day.  It’s thursday, but the weekend is almost here.  Don’t forget to check back this afternoon a 3 o’clock for our Feature Game Analysis.  🔥🔥🍕🏈🏈🏈👍👍

Feature Game Follow Up; NCAA College Football Week 7

I hope everyone slept last night, and I hope we didn’t lose too much money on this one.  Table Seven is now 3-2-1 versus the spread.  Welcome everyone!  It is the day after college football week 7, and this thang here is our Feature Game Follow Up.  What the heck happened?

MICHIGAN STATE SPARTANS @ (8)WISCONSIN BADGERS

It’s unfortunate that it had to come under these circumstances, but after the seventh week of college football, we know for sure Wisconsin is a very, very good football team.  They’re almost a little old school with a balanced methodical offense, and a tough ass defense.  LOL, we said it was almost impossible to score on them, but c’mon Michigan State!  Damn!

So offensively for Wisconsin, Jack Coan was 18-21, with 180, and a touchdown.  He didn’t fumble, and he didn’t throw any interception.

Here’s the stat I loved; 26 carries with 80 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Those stats belong to Wisconsin RB Jonathan Taylor, and what do they show?  They show a commitment to the running game.  Twenty six carries?  LOL, that’s Ron Dayne shit right there!  Loved it!

Seriously though, it shows WIsconsin was committed to running the football and controlling the clock, which is what you do when you have a running back you believe in, and a defense no one can score on.

The Badgers had 402 yards of total offense yesterday.  WR Quintez Cephus had a 19 yard TD catch that brought the score up to 14-0 in the second quarter, and Kendric Pryor (MAN THAT GUY IS FAST!) had that 66 yard touchdown run in the fourth.

Wisconsin played a smooth clean game.  They had one penalty.

I’m an Ohio State fan, but look out Big 10.  Wisconsin is for real.

Michigan State had 5 penalties yesterday that cost them 40 yards.  They were also held to 149 yards of total offense, 30 of those were rushing.  QB Rocky Lombardi was 5-14 with 66 yards.  Wow!  He also threw 2 interceptions, and one was returned for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Yes, Wisconsin did have a defensive touchdown yesterday.

It wasn’t all bad for Michigan State Yesterday, they were losing 17-0 all the way until the fourth quarter.  They even faked a punt on fourth down, and I thought for sure extending that drive would lead to a touchdown, but it didn’t.  Wisconsin had a 21 point explosion in the final quarter that put this game away and made it look like a blow out.  The Spartans hung in there, but honestly, Wisconsin is on another level right now.

Okay everyone enjoy your Sunday, and thank you for logging in to read our Feature Game follow Up.  I hope you went your own way yesterday when it came time to laying the cash down because we were off, big time with Michigan State +10.5.  We’re now 3-2-1 versus the spread.  See you all Thursday.

Feature Game Analysis, NCAA College Football Week 7

It was a team from Michigan last week that we rode to victory.  That team was the Wolverines, and with that win, we improved our record to 3-1-1 versus the spread.  This week, it might be that other team from Michigan that takes us to 4-1-1.  It’s NCAA College Football Week 7, and this is our Feature Game Analysis.   💲🔥🎊🏈💰

MICHIGAN STATE @ (8)WISCONSIN

This is an afternoon game, 3:30pm, Saturday, October 12th.  Wisconsin is home and favored by 10.5.  Up to this point, Wisconsin is another perfect Big 10 team.  They’re 5-0 and had a huge win over ranked Michigan.  In addition, they shut out South Florida, Central Michigan, and Kent State.  In five games they’ve given up 29 points.

On paper, they look impressive, and currently, they hold the number eight ranking.  Last Saturday, Michigan State lost 34-10 to Ohio State, who is arguably the best team in the country.  Once again, we saw another display of what not to do when playing top teams like the Buckeyes, and by that I mean turning the ball over.  Michigan State cannot turn the ball over this week.  No fumbles, and no interceptions, and if they can accomplish that they’ll put themselves in a very good position to win this game in Camp Randall.

Arizona State is the other team Michigan State lost to.  At the time, MIchigan State was ranked 18th, but to their credit, the Sun Devils came to play and won the game 10-7.  Arizona State (4-1) is very good this year.

Badger QB Jack Coan is consistent and productive.  He completed 85 passes out of 114 attempts, which means he completes about 75% of his passes.  He has thrown for almost 1,000 yards and 7 touchdowns.  Junior RB Jonathan Taylor is averaging 149 yards per game, and he has 12 touchdowns.  Wisconsin definitely has balance on offense, and their defense is almost impossible to score on.  Right now, sophomore linebacker Jack Sanborn is leading the team in tackles with 40,  He also has three sacks.

Michigan State will not come out moping this weekend.  Expect them to be prepared.  They’ll be fired up and ready to play.  Next week they have a bye, and then they host Penn State, and this bye couldn’t have come at a better time.  They have no distractions, so if they can focus on Wisconsin and only Wisconsin, they can win.  Will they?  I don’t know.  Can they?  Yes, they can.

Feature Game Winner Versus the Spread

Michigan State Spartans +10.5

Okay my friends, there you have it.  We are picking the Wisconsin Badgers to win this game at home against the Michigan State Spartans, but it will be the Spartans who cover the spread and take us to 4-1-1.  Have a great weekend, and don’t forget check back Sunday morning at 11:00am for the Feature Game Follow Up.
