There was a time when Craigslist had the reputation for being one of the more reliable and heavily depended on websites for all your needs. It kind of took the place of the want-ads section in your Sunday newspaper.
Recently, I’ve been going back to Craigslist for things like room and apartment rentals and jobs, but it’s not the site I remember fifteen years ago. What happened?
On several occasions, people did follow up and respond to me, but their responses were as follows, “That room you were asking about, where’d you see it? That room was rented weeks ago, I didn’t even know it was still showing”
The same thing happened with apartments, and forget about dating. Dating and meeting new people was one of the best features Craigslist had to offer, but they did away with it completely. The only thing that’s really left is Missed Connections, but there’s no guarantee the person you’re trying to reach will even see what you’re writing-it’s basically a shot in the dark.
I’m not going to write an entire article about the deterioration of Craigslist over the years, I think you understand what I’m saying, and if you use the site yourself, then I’m sure you have your opinions, but instead, I’d like to ask Craigslist to come back.
Craigslist, so many people used your site and they loved it. I don’t know what caused the changes over the years, but if you could get yourself back to old form that would be great!
How many times have you looked at the back of a bill, and wondered to yourself, “Why does it say, In God We Trust, on the back of our money?” Why do we even care at all? Well, when something doesn’t make sense to us, we question it, and what makes this so confusing is actually another saying that claims money is the root to all evil.

So then, we’re confronted with this perplexing question, “If money is the root of all evil, than why does it say In God We Trust on the back of our money?” After all, we do associate money with evil, hell, and the devil. What’s going on? In February, 1862, the United States Congress passed the Legal Tender Act to help finance the Civil War, and it was at that time, under the Legal Tender Act, the motto was added to money. Interesting right?

I’m going out on a limb here, and I’m going to suggest all the questions we have today, and all the mysteries surrounding the motto and the money stem from Theodore Roosevelt, one of the most religiously moral and Christian-minded presidents this country has ever seen. Roosevelt was a constitutional conservative, and he not only believed putting God on money was sacrilege, but he also believed the motto was unconstitutional because it established a religion, which opposed the First Amendment.
When you take into consideration where we’re at today with digital currency, there’s no doubt about the amazing history American money has!
Don was getting lonely. He was aggravated and upset, and despite what he was trying to do, the reality was, his life was passing him by. Goddoo was an older cat in the neighborhood, and felt responsible for Don’s well being. Goddoo convinced Donahue to go to New Orleans with him, and he promised a time so good, Don was sure to get over his bitterness.
So here they were, two cats hanging out in Kansas now making their way over to the Missouri River. Goddoo works in mysterious ways, he and Don were floating along in a tube someone left on the river bank, and before the day’s end, they jumped ship onto a steamboat that was passing by.

As the steamboat came to its trails end, Don and Goddoo hopped off and headed into town for some good old fun. They had a wild evening. New Orleans was filled with lady cats and cat ladies looking for party beads, and Don met himself a beautiful short hair kitty. He called her Baby Magic, and she was into all types of voodoo. Baby magic was exotic with mixed ancestry, and she loved Don.
Once Goddoo saw Donahue and Baby Magic getting along, he slipped away and into the dark night for some fun of his own. As it turned out, Baby Magic was exactly what Don needed. She put a good spell on him to reverse all his troubles, and in the morning, he was a new man.
To be continued…
Without a choice, she gave birth, and eventually put her child up for adoption. Then, she brought a law suit against Dallas County District Attorney, Henry Wade, and there you have it. Roe v. Wade is a landmark case, and there’s no other issue in modern America that’s as emotionally and politically charged as abortion rights. Of course, this case made it to the Supreme Court, and most Americans believed abortion was a matter of private choice-
a decision fit for a woman to make, but they received harsh push back from conservatives. The conservatives “pro-life” movement gained strength by the time the 1980’s came around. In 1998, Norma McCorvey converted to Christianity, and Henry Wade died in 2001. Many people don’t know this, but Henry Wade, the prosecutor sued in this case, prosecuted Jack Ruby, the man known for killing Lee Harvey Oswald.
An armistice is an agreement made by opposing forcing during a war. Basically, an armistice is a truce. Why is that important?
We should know our history, we should embrace it, we should learn from it, and then, we should move forward. A wise person once said, “If we don’t remember our history, we’re doomed to repeat it.” I don’t know who that person was, but I conquer.
On July 27, back in 1953, and armistice was signed in Panmunjom, which is now located in Kaesong-a province in North Korea. The armistice put an end to the fighting in Korea, and the war ended and began in the same place, the 38th parallel.
I don’t know what kind of books you’re all into, everyone has their own favorite genres of books, but if you’re into reincarnation as a topic, and you don’t mind reading a different variation about the life of Jesus, than I’d like to recommend Lives Of The Master.
I’m trying think of the best way of explaining what this book is about without losing you because it can be complicated. I don’t know if you’re familiar with the psychic Edgar Cayce, but this book is based off his readings. Cayce was known for his amazing ability to preform psychic readings and transfer divine information while in trance or under hypnosis.
Lives Of The Master, written by Glen Sanderfur, is dedicated to Jesus Christ as Jesus is recognized as just one of many incarnations, who throughout time, hosted the “master soul.” This book isn’t so much about the life of Jesus specifically, but rather the soul. Chapter one discusses Edgar Cayce, which of course is super important because the reader needs the background information concerning who he is, what he does, and how he does it.
Understand, the information Cayce gives us is psychically channeled so you won’t find it anywhere else, and not only that, it sheds some light on topics we, in a reality, don’t know much about. Chapter two is titled, Story of the Master, and it talks about the soul as an entity and God’s plans for creation, which ultimately, involve the Master Soul.
To make this easy to understand, the Master Soul, is a light body that is said to have existed with God, in spirit. In a sense it’s God’s “right hand man” who aided in the creation of humans and the world we live in. When God created humanity, he gave a little piece of himself to his creation so that humanity would be a reflection of him. God also gave his creation free will, and humans were free to make their own choices and do as they pleased, even if God didn’t agree.
Over time, these souls became encased in their human body hosts. At one time, the souls were able to “travel” between the spirit world and the earthly plane, but when the got stuck in their bodies, they lost that ability. The only way out was death, but even then there was no guarantee they’d find their way back to the Father because they were lost.
The Master Soul begged God for his permission to return to earth, take on human form, and help led the lost flock back home. Over time The Soul has incarnated as Adam, Enoch, Hermes, Melchizedek, Joseph, Joshua, Zend, and Jesus, but there have been many others. All of them as individuals have woken up to their purpose in aiding humanity.
The book is awesome. It’s called Lives Of The Master, it was written by Glenn Sanderfur, and I recommend it-totally.
Have a wonderful evening everyone!
In the privacy of his own world, he played. He held on to his own little secrets, and he laughed at them. They amused him, and no matter what was going on around him, he knew he could always resort back to his inner world for peace and contentment.
Then one day, they realized they weren’t getting to him. They realized, no matter how much they pushed, and no matter how much they tried to annoy and aggravate, they just couldn’t get to him. They tried everything to. As a matter of fact, they went above and beyond. They even broke laws. It didn’t matter anymore, they were going to do whatever they had to do to invade his privacy.
He recognized this, and he thought about it. “Is the world around me that destructive,” he wondered. “Are the people around me that miserable with themselves they’re willing to break laws just to violate my privacy,” he asked himself.
Yes. The answer was yes. They were.
And he accepted this, and he put up no fight. He put up no resistance, and when they came rushing at him, he showed what he’d been hiding. It was a picture of himself from when he was a child, and they laughed with relief. Eventually, they left, and he sat there.
He sat there feeling violated. He was really upset, so upset he didn’t even want to look at himself anymore. His eyes welled with tears, and he cursed them all, and he wished a living death upon them-a curse so bad, they’d wish they were dead.
If you have to break the law to invade someone’s privacy, you lost. You’re a lesser man then he. Concede, and walk away.
“Thank you for applying with our company, but unfortunately, at this time we’ve decided to move forward in the interview process with candidates whose qualifications are a better fit for what we’re looking for.”
Okay, that’s fine. I understand that I’m not going to get every job I apply for on the internet, but how can this be the answer 99% of the time?
If I’m not qualified, then who is? What skills and qualifications do they have that I don’t? Sometimes, I’m so qualified for a position I’m applying to, that I wonder if the actual company even read my cover letter and resume. I feel like if they did, they definitely wouldn’t have passed up on me, but this seems to be the trend. I’ll apply to a company, and then, the next day I’ll go for a walk, and the companies vehicles are driving past me beeping the horn. Are you kidding me?
Do I apply to jobs to make other people feel good? Why am I always on the outside looking in? I don’t know, but I’m starting to think about something.
Monster, Career Builder, Indeed, Linked In, and so on, are all third party job placement “internet companies.” Who actually works at these companies, and where has my private and professional information been going the last seventeen years?
If a company turns you down from a job, then someone should contact you directly and tell you why. Not only that, they should wish you luck on your job search and offer some type of information or advice on how you can land your next job so your not applying to a thousand different places.
If you use any of these websites to find jobs, write in and let me know what you’ve been experiencing. I’d like to know if your experiences have been similar to mine, or different.
Have a wonderful day!
Why was the cat mad? What was wrong with mad cat? Finally, someone caught up with Don, and they asked him. “What’s bothering you?”
I’m bitter. I’m upset. I f***in’ hate you because I knew what I was doing, and I knew what I wanted, but you made none of it available to me. You deprived me for your personal amusement. You gave me eyes to see, but when I needed them most, you turned the lights off. You made me go the long way, even though I had a shortcut because you didn’t believe in shortcuts.
I learned lessons as a child, but you made me relearn them as an adult. You wasted my time-my precious time, and the years passed by. Those years, I’ll never get back. I’ll never be that age again. Like death, I was dead to the world. I’m so angry because you took something from me you can never replace. Time! Now you have to tread lightly.
While I try to forgive, and while I’m trying to forget and move on, please stay away. I’m mad cat, and I’m really mad.
“Donahue, it’s me, God. Relax man. I got something planned for us. I’m going to take you to the French Quarter.”
The End
