What is up, what is up?  Hello everyone, did you enjoy the Table Seven Top 6 this morning?  Yes, that LSU, Alabama game is going to be awesome, but hey now, don’t forget about that Big 10 game.  It’s college football week 11, and this is our Feature Game Analysis.

(5)PENN STATE at (13)MINNESOTA

When I was in high school, I went to the Penn State Football Camp.  There was kid there named Greg White.  Greg was a highly recruited football player coming out of the class of ’98.  He played high school ball at Shabazz in Newark, New Jersey.

This was over the summer of 1997, and I know Penn State wanted him bad, but Greg ended up going to, Minnesota.  Yes, he went to Minnesota, and Minnesota wasn’t that good then, but that’s where he went, and I think he ended up playing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

What does this story have to do with this weekend’s game between the 8-0 Nittany Lions and the 8-0 Golden Gophers?  Absolutely nothing, but Greg White was from New Jersey, and I’m from New Jersey.  He went to Minnesota, and I will pick Minnesota this weekend to not only win straight up, but to cover the 6.5 point spread.

The top photo, back left is me!  Next to me was a guy Named Mitch, he was a quarterback.  Front Left is I have no idea, and next to him was my friend Nick.  Nick and I drove to the camp together.

In the bottom photo sitting in the front right is my friend William.  He also drove to the camp with me.  William was recruited to Rhode Island.

Um, yes, it is week 11.  I can’t believe how fast these weeks are going, but here we are.  There are two big time matchups this weekend, Saturday, November 9th so I will not keep you waiting.  It’s College Football week 11, and this is the https://noozbuffet.com Table Seven Top 6.

1. (11)Baylor at TCU- TCU is home this weekend, and they play host to an undefeated (8-0) Baylor team that’s 3-0 on the road, and in first place in the Big 12 ahead of Oklahoma.  Currently, TCU is 4-4 overall, so they’ll be looking to break .500 with a win this week, and it might be possible.  The Horned Frogs are underdogs at home, but not by much, which tells me a lot of people think they’re much better than their 4-4 record would lead you to believe.
2. (5)Penn State at (13)Minnesota- Minnesota is 8-0 and in first place in the Big 10 West.  Penn State is 8-0, and they’re neck and neck with Ohio State in the East.  Penn State’s defense is ranked 9th overall, and they’re second in the Nation against the pass, but that pass defense will surely be tested this weekend.  Minnesota’s Rashod Bateman, (626 yards, 6 touchdowns) and Tyler Johnsons (626 yards, 7 touchdowns) are two very good receivers.
3. (20)Kansas State at Texas- The 5-3 Longhorns are favorites at home this weekend, but K-State is red hot.  The Wildcats are 6-2 overall, and finally, they’re back in the Top 25.  First it was Oklahoma, and then it was Kansas.  If the old saying that everything comes in 3’s holds true, Texas will fall next.
4. (1)LSU at (2)Alabama- Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better than Penn State and Minnesota, number one and number two in the country showed up.  This will be another matchup of undefeated 8-0 teams, but not only that, we’ll get to see two of the best quarterbacks in college football right now compete.  LSU’s Joe Burrow (2,805 yards, 30 touchdowns) is almost completing 80% of his passes, and Tua Tagovailoa (2,166 yards, 27 touchdowns) has only thrown two interceptions this entire season. 
5. (18)Iowa at (16)Wisconsin- This is another big time Big 10 game this weekend.  The Badgers are home and look to control this game on the ground with Jonathan Taylor who is now over 1,000 yards rushing.  The Hawkeyes have been playing tremendous defense all season though, and currently, they’re 8th against the run.  Expect them to put the pressure on Wisconsin’s QB Jack Coan, and attempt to make the Badgers one-dimensional.  Jack Coan is very consistent, and despite not having some of the numbers a Joe Burrow has, he’s capable of winning this game for Wisconsin if his number is called.
6. Iowa State at (9)Oklahoma- Kickoff is scheduled for 8 o’clock Saturday night, and Oklahoma is a two touchdown favorite at home in Norman.  Remember, Iowa State plays their best football when they’re not ranked in the Top 25.  Not many people know about Cyclone QB Brock Purdy (2,567 yards, 15 touchdowns), but maybe they will after this game.

Thank you everyone for visiting https://noozbuffet.com for the aftermath of the SMU, Memphis Game.  Week 10 of the college football season is now over, and this is our Feature Game follow up. 

Last night was a night of firsts.  I don’t think there was ever a week when we didn’t at least pick one winner, weather it be straight up or versus the points.  We picked SMU to win the game and cover the spread, and we lost both.

I have two questions?  What happened to defense, and who the heck is Antonio Gibson?  Last night’s game between the Mustangs and the Tigers was hard hitting and exciting.  Both teams were fired up under the lights, and both teams were emotionally charged.  The atmosphere was incredible.

Memphis’s senior Antonio Gibson is a big wide receiver, he’s 6’2, 225 pounds, and during this game we saw him run over people, run around people, and single handedly, take this game over.  He had 6 catches for 130 yards and a touchdown.   In addition, he returned 3 kickoffs for 159 yards and a touchdown.  SMU didn’t want to kickoff anymore.  They were afraid of what Gibson might do.

I was really impressed by several guys however, and teammate, senior WR Damonte Coxie, was magnificent, not Magnifico, but magnificent.  Coxie caught 7 balls for 143 yards, and he scored 2 touchdowns last night to help Memphis win this game.

Speaking of senior TE Joey Magnifico, had 2 catches for 30 yards, but he did return a kickoff for 40 yards, which gave the Tigers excellent field position.

SMU scored the game’s first touchdown (Shane Buechele passed to Kylen Granson for a 16 yd. touchdown), and their opening drive was perfect, but Memphis answered right back.  That’s how the game went until Memphis took the lead.  SMU showed incredible heart last night, and they never gave up, but without their defense controlling the game, it turned into a shootout.  SMU RB Xavier Jones was held to 22 yards on 11 carries.

It was a 23-17 ball game at halftime, Memphis was winning.  Memphis received the opening kickoff to start the second half and Gibson returned it for a 97 yard touchdown.  The Tigers did two very important things, they answered back after SMU scored the first touchdown, and they took the momentum to start the second half.  They were home and they made the most of this opportunity.

This was SMU’s first loss of the season, and both teams are now 8-1 overall.  The Tigers were ranked 24th overall before this game so it will be interesting to see where they are after beating (15)SMU.

1. West Virginia at Baylor- Tonight, October 31st, at 8:00pm, West Virginia and Baylor kickoff in Waco, Texas.  Baylor is undefeated and expects to remain undefeated after playing the 3-4 Mountaineers.
2. Virginia Tech at (16)Notre Dame- The Hokies travel to Indiana to take on the Fighting Irish.  Both teams are 5-2, but Notre Dame finds themselves in a must win situation after losing to Michigan last week.  V-Tech could break into the Top 25 with a win this week.
3. (8)Georgia At (6)Florida- The 6-1 Bulldogs travel to the Swamp in Jacksonville, Florida to play the 7-1 Gators.  Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 pm, Saturday afternoon.  Florida is a 6.5 point underdog at home.  What could be sweeter for Georgia than a win on the road against Florida?
4.  (9)Utah at Washington- The 5-3 Huskies are home this weekend, Saturday, November 2nd.  Utah is in first place in the PAC-12 South, and as good as the Huskies can be, I don’t expect Utah to lose this game.  (Not this late in the season with national rankings and playoff hopes in sight.)
5. (15)SMU at Memphis- The (7-1) Memphis Tigers are shocking a lot of people this season, but they’ll have a legitimate test Saturday night, November 2nd.  SMU is undefeated (8-0), and they don’t give a fu*k.  SMU is good, but on the flip side, with a win this week, Memphis could prove that early season loss to Temple was nothing more than a fluke.
6. (7)Oregon at USC- Saturday night, November 2nd, the Ducks and the Trojans kickoff in Los Angeles.  Oregon is in first place in the PAC-12 North, and they’re 2-0 on the road this season.  USC is 5-3 overall and look for a big upset this weekend despite being 4.5 point underdogs at home.

Well, we picked UCF to win the game.  We said if it turned into a shootout, Temple would not win, and they didn’t.  We did however, think the game was going to be a lot closer than it was.  We’re now 4-3-1 versus the spread.  BOOOOOOO!  Why didn’t we just pick Michigan again?

Last night I Tweeted, “I don’t understand how Temple can be the only team to beat Memphis, and then lose to UCF by 42 at home.”  There’s probably not a better way to start this follow up so, I say again….

I don’t understand how Temple can be the only team to beat Memphis and then lose to UCF by 42 at home?  The final score of last night’s game was 63-21, and UCF improved their overall record to 6-2.  They also gained some leadway over the now 5-3 Owls in the American Athletic-East Division, but both teams still tail first place Cincinnati.

The Golden Knights dominated Temple last night, and UCF might not be that undefeated team who’s knocking on the playoff door, like they were last year, but they’re still very good.  UCF’s defense picked off Temple QB Anthony Russo twice, and they held RB Ray Davis to 26 yards on 12 carries!  That’s 2.2 yards per carry!

Temple’s Senior RB Jager Gardner was held to 13 yards on 11 carries!  Gardner did have a touchdown though, but still man, that’s 39 yards of rushing between both of them.

QB Dillon Gabriel was sensational last night.  He completed 10 passes for 218 yards, and he tossed 3 touchdown passes (no interceptions).  UCF was also able to run the ball at will last night.  RB Otis Anderson (1 td) rushed for 205 yards on 17 carries, and teammate Bentavious Thompson (2 touchdowns) rushed for another 87.

Temple was held scoreless in the second half.  Next week, Temple plays South Florida.

It was another week of good college football.  We saw Penn State beat Michigan State 28-7, and we also saw Minnesota manhandle Maryland 52-10.  What about Ohio State?  The Buckeyes dominated Wisconsin 38-7, and all three remain perfect in the Big 10. This was also a weekend of upsets.  TCU beat (15)Texas 37-27, Kansas State won 48-41 against the number five Sooners, and Oklahoma State beat (23)Iowa State 34-27.  Breaking into the Top 25 seems to be Iowa’s curse because every time they do, they lose.  What the heck?  Alright everyone, we’ll see you Thursday.  Don’t forget, on Halloween, Thursday, October 31st, it’s the Table Seven Top 6 in the morning at 6 o’clock, and the Feature Game Analysis in the afternoon at 3:00 pm.  NCAA College Football Week 10 coming up!  Have a good week.
