New Year Magic

For the last ten, a shift has been felt,

It’s way deep beyond, past Orion’s known Belt.

From the home of the Archer, where the fire burns bright,

A shooting star arrow brings visions and light.

I shall pour out my spirit, a quote from the bible,

Mull over connections, however, this knowledge is tribal.

The arrow, yes, eventually it hit its mark, and it gave possibilities.  There are gifts I believe, that do come from the heavens.  My belief however, is beyond a belief as in believing by chance or having blind faith.  There are many things going on in this world around you, and there are so many paths, roads, and possibilities.  When this becomes apparent, you will think you’ve completely lost your mind, but the reality is, for whatever reason, your awareness is being heightened.

As you dive into the strangeness and look even stranger to the people around you, know that you’re not crazy.  As matter of fact, you haven’t lost your mind at all.

Seek and We Shall Find

They say the answers to our questions are out there, and the truth will set us free.  We must decipher between what’s right and what is wrong for us according to our own perception.

They say there is life on other planets, and we are not alone in this universe, but knowing that would be a major distraction.

I heard we discovered microbial life on Mars, but instead of furthering the investigation, more time and effort has been spent covering it up.

Handle your daily routine and mundane tasks like responsible men and women, but in your spare time, don’t be afraid to investigate.  This thing we call the “cosmos” is beautiful, mysterious, and waiting for us to have fun with it.

Resolutions For A New Year

What’s Up?  Welcome to 2020!

Here’s what’s on my mind for this brand new year:

  • Love Myself
  • Work Consistently
  • Let the people in my life know they’re appreciated
  • Two to Three days per week in the gym
  • Make good decisions
  • Win
  • Start Applying the lessons and mentality I learned through sports to real life
  • Save money
  • Get back into a vehicle
  • Repay debts and repair friendships-if possible
  • Rediscover my love for the night-life, and Social Life (Not Social Media) Going out Again

Resolutions are good because they give us direction.  We’re starting a brand new year together, with goals.  Get your shit together, and get your head right.

As the year progresses, there will be moments when those resolutions come into focus.  Don’t forget about them.  Maintain them, achieve them, and become the person you want to be.

Write in.  What are your New Years Resolutions?  What would you like to achieve?

Taming A Wandering Mind

If you’re like me, then your mind wanders.  Topic after topic.  If you’re worried about this and fell like you’re loosing control, then listen to what I’m about to say.

My mind, I don’t know why, wanders, but I’m starting to think it has something to do with “the task of the moment,” but the advice I can give you is “don’t pay attention.”  All types of thoughts of thoughts and temptations pass though, but remember, it’s all in your head.  We shouldn’t live in our heads.

It’s not a bad thing if you have a wondering mind, but remember, we live in our physical reality.  While our mind drifts from the here and now, our bodies don’t.  Do not let random thoughts and temptations interfere with what you’re doing, or what you say to someone if they’re completely unrelated or something you normally wouldn’t or shouldn’t do.

If you, for example, just sat down to read a book, read that book.  If the thought crosses your mind to check your email, send a text message, or do something else, ignore it until you’re done reading.  Focus on what you’re doing, and see it thorough completion.

In his/her possession, the average person has a cell phone, tablet, laptop, computer, books, and magazines.  Younger people have all that stuff including video games, so the urge to bounce from one thing to the next is great.  So great in fact, it takes a mindful decision, and some effort to concentrate on one thing at a time.

When speaking and interacting with people, remember, that person doesn’t know what you’re thinking.  They do however, hear what you say.  They can see you, they can see how you react, how you stand, and what you do with your hands.  Your body language is visible.

Someone approaches you for the first time.  They want to speak with you because they want to get to know more about you, but during that conversation, the thought crosses your mind to say “fuck you,” and run away.

What do you do?

What should you do?

The answer is to stand there, and have the conversation.  Let the person get to know you, and if it’s in the cards, make a new friend.  Your mind is telling you to say, “fuck you,” and run away, but should you?

Is the person threatening you, attacking you, or disrespecting you?  No, so, you wouldn’t and shouldn’t run away, and say, “fuck you.”  Cursing at the person and running away doesn’t make sense.

It sounds funny, but a small percentage of us will curse and run away.  Why?  I can’t answer that.  I cant tell you why people do what they do, but I can help you make the right choices if that’s what you want to do.  This whole article is about fighting random thoughts that interfere with our lives while we’re working, completing a task, or speaking with someone.  The reason why this is an issue in the first place is because we’re told to listen and pay attention to our thoughts, but if our thoughts aren’t “good,” then we must dismiss them.

This leads me to my next point, “knowing the difference between right and wrong.”  If you know the difference between right and wrong, then you know which thoughts you should dismiss because acting them out would either be wrong, or not make sense in a given situation.  Remember the actions you take, and your behavior, weather physical, or verbal, must make sense.  No one can see your thoughts, and people cannot read your mind.  Having the thought to curse at someone who is trying to be your friend, is nothing more than a passing thought so long as you don’t act on it.

How did we get here?  I don’t know.  I think the mind should be silent, but most people do have a busy mind.  I have a busy mind, but it wasn’t always that way.  There was a time when I was fully, 100% in the moment.  Just living-acting and reacting.  It would be extremely nice to find a way back to that point.  It was a time when your mind wasn’t a beacon for the thoughts and emotions of others.

It was a time when your mind was your own, no distractions, no interference, and no delays.  100% fully in the moment.

Seasons Greetings

Hello Everyone!

Today is December 23rd, and Christmas will be in two days.  I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and a happy New Year.

If you don’t celebrate Christmas that’s quite alright.  I hope everyone has a very enjoyable Holiday Season.

You won’t see any content published from https://noozbuffet.com for the next couple of weeks because we take off the last week of December and the first week of January.

2019 has been a fabulous year for us as we’re getting close to that 75,000 word count mark, and that means a lot to us because it shows we’re consistently putting out content for the world to read.  I would like to personally thank all of our new followers for liking us and reading our content.

Welcome aboard!

We have some new exciting things we’re working on for 2020 so check back in as often as you like.

Now is definitely the time to start thinking about those New Year’s Resolutions, and what you would like to accomplish during the year ahead.  We’re big on finding that perfect balance in life, and if you followed along with us throughout 2019 than you know we’ve all come a long way.

We got back to work, and joined the gym after a 15 year lazy haze.  For us, 2019 was about laying the foundation.  We did, and now we’re keeping it going.  2020 will be all about socializing and rediscovering our night lives.

Don’t forget.  Whatever you start in 2020 will have magic behind it.  2020 is not just another year, it’s the beginning of a brand new decade.  They say 40 is the new 20, well, I’ll be turning 40 next year so we gone find out!  😛

Alright ya’ll, before I end this, I would like to leave you with these words…

You can do whatever you want.  You are the boss of you.  If there’s something you want, or something you would like to do, go and do it.  Don’t hold back.

Happy Holidays

NCAA College Football; Ranking the Flawless

So, this year, according to CBS Sports College Football rankings, it is LSU at number one, followed by Ohio State, and then Clemson.  All three are 13-0.

When it comes to Table Seven’s College Football ranking system, there are no arguments there because as you know, we rank according to record.  13-0 is 13-0, but I have to be honest.

My curious mind just pulled me back.  For the hell of it, I just wanted to “crunch the numbers” to see if CBS really got it right.  Without using our system, we had Ohio State at number one, followed by LSU, and then Clemson, but let’s see what the math has to say about that.

Table Seven’s College Football Rankings

  1. OHIO STATE- 13-0 (29)
  2. LSU- 13-0 (28)
  3. CLEMSON- 13-0 (24)

I used to laugh about Clemson winning every week and sliding down in National rank, but after taking some things into consideration, I can see why that happened.  In my opinion, the Big 10 was the strongest conference in college football this year, and it kind of sucks that Ohio State ended up with a number two seed, but regardless of what we do on paper the games must be played, and inevitably, the best team will win the National Championship when all is said and done.

I said earlier this season, LSU might be the only team capable of beating the Buckeyes this season.  Ohio State is that good.  I think we’ll see a final game played between OSU and LSU, and it will be one hell of a game.

NCAA College Football Wrap-Up

cropped-america-american-ball-4198-1

What is going on in the wild world of college football right now?

There will be one game played during Week 16, and that’s Army versus Navy.  Kickoff is scheduled for 3 o’clock, Saturday, December 14th, at Lincoln Financial Field.

Then, is Bowl Championship Season!

Week 15 was Conference Championship Weekend, and listed below is the CBS Sports College Football Rankings (top seven teams).

  1. LSU 13-0
  2. OSU 13-0
  3. Clemson 13-0
  4. Oklahoma 12-1
  5. Georgia 11-2
  6. Oregon 11-2
  7. Baylor 11-2

Why seven?  Because here at https://noozbuffet.com, we pick for you, our very own special top seven teams.  We’ll piggy back a little bit off the CBS rankings up to a point, and then we’ll use our own formula to see who belongs and who doesn’t.

Our first criteria is the overall record, so we are in agreement with CBS’s top 4 regardless of any point or ranking system, with the exception of LSU and Ohio State.  I don’t think the Buckeyes should’ve slide a place because of their “struggle” with Wisconsin.  A win is a win.  That’s what I think anyway.

https://noozbuffet.com Top 4

  1. Ohio State 13-0
  2. LSU 13-0
  3. Clemson 13-0
  4. Oklahoma 12-1

Number five and number six…we agree with CBS Sports.  In our ranking system Georgia’s score was 21, and Oregon’s score was 20.

5. Georgia 11-2

6. Oregon 11-2

Number seven is where the argument is coming into play, and I know it really doesn’t matter because the top 4 teams make the College Football Playoff, but if it was, let’s say, the top 8, we would raise a serious question.

In our ranking system, Baylor’s score was 15.  That’s a 6 point difference between the number 7 team Baylor, and the number 5 team, Georgia.

Just for the heck of it, I decided to run Florida and Wisconsin through the ringer, and they both scored 17.

Table Seven Top 8

  1. Ohio State 13-0
  2. LSU 13-0
  3. Clemson 13-0
  4. Oklahoma 12-1
  5. Georgia 11-2
  6. Oregon 11-2
  7. Florida 10-2
  8. Wisconsin 10-3

Open Roads

It’s coming to the end of the first week of this month, and I’m flooded with thoughts about the future.  December always zips by.  A brand new year awaits.

It’s not only a brand new year, it’s the beginning of a brand new decade.  I remember when year 2000 came, the thought of being alive at the turn of the century was mind blowing.

We’re now entering the 3rd decade of this 100 years.  There’s so much to look forward to.  There’s so much to see, and so many places to go.  It’s really just amazing.

With 2019 coming to an end, I hope everyone’s year has been everything expected and better.  Now it’s time to take this base we’ve built, and build upon it.  Job changes, financial decisions, decisions regarding love and relationships, yes, we did take on a lot, but we were successful.

Once again, I’ll remind you of that picture with the little green plant growing through the bed of rocks (past article).  That’s what 2019 was, it was a rocky start.  It was high hopes, and a wonderful vision of what could be.  It was a new start on shaky ground.

🔥The door’s open now, the foundation is set, and all we need to do now is blaze this trail forward. 🔥

I tweeted today that I was tired of hearing about how fucked up the pension system is, how retirement for those of us born in the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s is doomed, and how corrupt politicians are robbing us.  That may or may not be true, but I look to our elders for help with that.

I also tweeted that each and everyday we not only have an opportunity to create a life for ourselves, but we also have an opportunity to preserve and protect what we find for younger generations.

It would be amazing to know that our older generation didn’t fail us, and they didn’t let the system fall because they preserved what they found for us.

Just thinking out loud.

New year resolutions?  During 2020 I would really like to reestablish or rediscover my sense of self, and achieve a certain level of mental clarity.  Who am I? What have I become?  That’s where I’m starting.

How about you?  What are your plans for 2020?  What would you like to achieve?  What would you like to accomplish?  Remember, it’s not just another new year.  It’s the first year of brand new decade!  In the “Grand Design of Universal Time” that’s really significant.

Table Seven Top 6, NCAA College Football Week 14

Saturday, November 30th, will be the 14th week of the NCAA college football season.  It’s amazing how fast this season has gone, but then again, they always do.  Next week is “Conference Championship Weekend,” but let us not get too far ahead of ourselves.  Welcome to https://noozbuffet.com, and here is our Table Seven Top 6.

TABLE SEVEN TOP 6

  1. (2)OHIO STATE @ (13)MICHIGAN- It’s Ohio State versus Michigan!  Now that the Urban Meyer era is over, the Wolverines can wipe the slate clean and start fresh.  Last week OSU handed Penn State their second loss of the season in a 28-17 defeat.  Michigan beat a decent 7-3 Indiana team 39-14, a great warm up indeed.  Even though Michigan has two loses, it’s still number one versus number two in the Big 10 East.  Buckeye running back J.K. Dobbins now has 1,446 rushing yards, and Ohio State is ranked 7th in overall offense.  Personally, I don’t think Michigan has enough offensively to win this game.  If their defense can keep shit close and force some turnovers like Penn State did, maybe they have a shot?  Nah.  Not this year.
  2. (3)CLEMSON @ SOUTH CAROLINA- The Tigers and the GameCocks kickoff Saturday afternoon at 12 o’clock.  South Carolina is 4-7 overall, and they are coming back this week after losing to Texas A&M 30-6.  Clemson is still rolling strong and boasting that 11-0 record.  Clemson whooped up on a very good Wake Forest team 52-3 in their last action.  Clemson is averaging 46 points per game, and they’re ranked fourth in the country in total yards.  They got it going on, but….I mentioned earlier in the season that I didn’t think Clemson would finish their regular season without a loss.  This might be the week.  South Carolina shocks the world!!!
  3. (12)WISCONSIN @ (10)MINNESOTA- The Badgers are 9-2, and the Golden Gophers are 10-1.  Game time for this Big 10 matchup is 3:30, Saturday afternoon.  Minnesota got themselves caught up in that game against Iowa and lost 19-23, but of course they came back as we expected and beat up on Northwestern 38-22.  This is going to be a tough tough football game.  Action packed and hard hitting.  Both teams possess studs.  Wisconsin’s RB Jonathan Taylor has 1,685 yards and 15 touchdowns.  Minnesota’s WR Tyler Johnson has 66 catches for 1,025 yards and 10 touchdowns.  I think Minnesota has the better QB, but Jack Coan is still very capable of leading his team to victory.  For some reason I think Wisconsin steals this one on the road and gives Minnesota their second loss.
  4. (5)ALABAMA @ (15)AUBURN- Alabama is second in the country in points per game (48.5).  That’s a lot of points, but Auburn plays good defense.  I think it’s safe to safe if Alabama loses this week their playoff hopes are gone out the window.  It’s a must win for the Crimson Tide, while the fifteenth ranked Tigers who are 8-3 overall are pretty much playing spoiler at this point.  How are they ranked 15th with three loses?  Oh well.  I think it’s also worth mentioning Tua Tagovailoa has 33 touchdown passes this season with only 3 interceptions!  Alabama will probably win this game as expected, but Auburn scares me.  It will be close.
  5. TEXAS A&M @ (1)LSU- It’s Kellen Mond, and the 7-4 Aggies against the undefeated Tigers.  Texas A&M is a good football team, but they’re a middle of the pack program right now.  They need to get themselves to the next level, and that means beating the Georgia’s, Clemson’s, and LSU’s of the world.  It would be nice to see them win this game, but that’s not likely.  At least not this season.  LSU QB Joe Burrow is probably the best quarterback in the country this year, and the talent around him is outstanding.  I think LSU is the only team that’s capable of beating Ohio State this year.
  6. (9)OKLAHOMA @ (21)OKLAHOMA STATE- 8 o’clock Saturday night the state of Oklahoma will be rocking when the twenty-one ranked Cowboys play the ninth ranked Sooners.  Oklahoma is 10-1 overall and still has a shot at the playoffs.  With a win this week, and little outside luck, let’s say Michigan beats Ohio State, and Auburn beats Alabama, and they could find themselves in a position they never expected.  Stranger things have happened.  It will definitely not be a sure thing though.  Oklahoma State has won their last four games 💥💥🔥🔥🔥, and RB Chuba Hubbard is doing his thing (1,832 yards, 20 TD’s)!!!  Watchout Oklahoma!

Okay everyone, here are the top six games that will be on our radar this weekend.  I’d like to wish everyone a happy, food-filled Thanksgiving, and may you enjoy all the games this weekend.  This is our last Table Seven Top 6, and there won’t be a Feature Game Analysis this afternoon at 3 o’clock.  Thank you so much for following along this season.  It has definitely been a blast.  We’ll see you all in a couple of weeks for our final Top 7 rankings as we use our secret formula to give you the top seven teams in college football.  Just in time for the playoffs!

Thank you PIXABAY at PEXELS.COM for the photo.

A Whole New World 3

Welcome to A whole New World, all you have to do is be honest with yourself.

I’m just saying, if you feel like “you’ve” been missing, like you woke up one day and said to yourself, “where the hell did I go.”

Now, many people will say it’s because of age, and that’s true because we do mature as we get older, but c’mon.

A big part of why you’re not the same is because as you age, society forces you to become a different person, and when you do, you’re thrown all out of whack, but the key is to mature without losing yourself.

You still have to have fun, you still have to laugh at yourself and the people around you, and if that’s means with yourself until others catch on and follow along than that’s the way it is.

Did you notice how tight you are?  Remember when you used to be cool as hell cracking jokes, and playing with your friends?

Yeah, it’s because you’re not comfortable.  No one’s saying anything to you, but you can feel the tension.  People hattin.  I said a while ago on here, the greatest gift you can give someone is being yourself.

Be yourself.  Sing to yourself, laugh out loud, and if people think you’re crazy then whatever, but someone will laugh.  Go find that love and rediscover yourself.  Life is too short.

  1. Don’t let other people control you.
  2. Do not let fear stop you from living your life.
  3. Deal with everyone you converse with in the here and now.
  4. If you keep asking someone how they feel or if they’re all right, you’re implying there’s something wrong.  People will eventually avoid you because they don’t want to feel like they’re doing something wrong or like there’s something wrong with them.
  5. If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it.
  6. Self-control.  We walk past people everyday who are talking amongst themselves, they’re not talking to you man.  Keep walking.  Let people be, and may they let you be.
