The Upright, the Enemy, and the Other

People who are stand up, up-right, tell the truth, self-aware, and living in the moment, will always be a natural enemy of someone who’s deceitful and manipulative. And unfortunately, that enemy will never confront the up-right; everything the enemy does will be behind the back, in the dark, in secret, tattle-tail-sneaky, and immature.

This will drive the upright crazy, especially if he gives too much attention to what the enemy is doing, but sometimes, the upright doesn’t have a choice. At some point, he must focus on and address what the enemy is doing and how the enemy’s behavior is affecting him.

The upright is non-confrontational, but when it’s necessary, he can be a fierce defender. He would rather not confront the enemy because the enemy doesn’t make sense to him. In the eyes and mind of the upright, the enemy is petty, immature, and hypocritical. The enemy doesn’t make sense to the upright, but because the enemy is passive aggressively and nonchalantly attacking the upright, the upright must find a way to defend himself.

The upright knows exactly what’s going to happen if he confronts the enemy. The enemy is going to lie, deny, and refuse to take responsibility. This will anger the upright even more, and the upright will suddenly appear to be the bad-guy.

What we have here is an accurate portrait of abuse, it’s the kind of abuse you’ll see from someone who’s mentally abusive.

No one sees what the enemy is doing to you, and that’s exactly the situation the enemy wants you in. Everything the enemy does, which is a direct attack on the upright, is subtle, indirect, and questionable.

So, the upright questions himself; is he really attacking me? Is he really talking about me behind my back? Is he really making up lies about me. Is he really rallying a small group of followers behind my back who entertain him and agree with everything he says?

This person is no good, how come no one sees it? He’s creating a sub-group and alienating me, what am I going to do?

Yes. The answer is yes, and finally, the upright kicks the door in and unleashes. And because it was the upright who ultimately made a scene, the upright is now wrong in the eyes of his peers.

Wrong in the eyes of his peers? Think about that? Is he really wrong though?

“Woah, woah, calm down,” everyone says. “You’re out of control man, are you having a bad day,” they ask condescendingly.

The upright gives everyone the middle-finger and walks out. “To hell with all of you,” the upright says.

Maybe the upright was wrong in the minds and eyes of his peers, but the upright feels his behavior was necessary and absolutely justifiable.

So, according to himself, upright was right, not wrong.

This exact same situation plagues the upright, and he feels like he’s constantly in this battle of good and evil and right and wrong.

After some time, the upright learns that it doesn’t matter what people think. As long as he knows he’s right, then that’s all that matters.

After some more time, with this new wisdom secured in the back of upright’s head, he begins to smarten up.

He realizes he’s good, and he realizes his enemy is bad. So, at all costs, he must maintain the high-ground. The upright must keep his cool, and not let the enemy have him spinning out of control.

And this is the point when a simple upright person asks God, “Why are things so fucking difficult?” And the upright finally realizes; there’s no way win this, instead he must overcome it.

As soon as the enemy realizes his antagonizing behavior no longer effects the upright, he moves on to someone else.

Overcoming it. Think about it.

The upright decides to do things to the enemy behind his back, in secret, and in the dark. Now, the enemy becomes so occupied with trying to figure out why things in his life are suddenly going wrong, he doesn’t have time to fuck with other people.

The upright is happy finally, he feels good, and although his behavior isn’t typical, he’s giving the enemy a taste of his own medicine. Suddenly, the pressure loosens up a bit. The upright laughs to himself, and moves on. He overcame.

There’s only one gigantic mistake the upright made. He told the person closest to him what he was doing. He revealed his secrets and how he decided to deal with the enemy.

And what do you think upright’s friend said to him?

I just want to let you know that what you’re dong isn’t right!!!!!

Well, thank you mister fucking obvious. I mean seriously, I guess my peace of mind and happiness pissed you off that much that you had to tell me I was wrong?

Haven’t I kicked enough doors in? Haven’t I endured enough? Haven’t I given enough people the finger? I can’t curse anymore to hell! Hell is full! It’s at max capacity!

I’ve dealt with enough enemies head to head to know it’s a no win situation. I’ve seen enough of them speak in agreement with me in front of me, and in the very same breadth, turn around to someone else and take the opposing side of the argument in agreement with the other.

I’ve seen them completely contradict themselves and change their views mid-sentence, literally talking out of both sides of their mouth. Literally! They play the crowd and tell everyone what they want to hear. They take no stance. They take no responsibility for what they do and say, and somehow, miraculously, it’s never them and they’re always right.

As you get older, you’ll realize how fast life passes you by. You’ll realize how valuable your time is, and little by little, you’ll start disassociating yourself, creating distance between, and spending less time with the enemy.

You’re constantly moving forward and progressing, and they’re standing still playing the same old games. The upright doesn’t want to play anymore, and the upright doesn’t want to entertain or give anymore of his valuable time or attention to someone who’s incapable of seeing the bigger picture. People change. We grow apart. That’s normal.

You like to spend your time lying, and talking about people behind their backs. You like to use your time trying to figure out how to push and antagonize people who don’t even know you exist. You spend your time perfecting deceit, manipulation, and trickery.

I’m trying to figure out how I can improve myself and how I can become a better person. I’m trying to make friends and build real quality relationships grounded in trust. I want people to know I’m accountable and dependable.

You’re caught up in ego and pride, and I let that go a long time ago.

So, in the eyes and minds of the other, the upright was wrong for making a scene and approaching this problem head-on. And the very first time the upright decided to sink down to his enemies level and enter through the back door, the other was right there again to quickly remind him he was wrong.

Well, I guess in the eyes and minds of the other, the upright is always wrong. And as long as the upright is without peace and without happiness, then he’s okay in the eyes and mind of the other.

I guess no peace and no happiness is what the upright wins for being upright. I guess upright’s life has to be a miserable debacle for walking the straight and narrow. I guess good suffers and evil triumphs?

Is that the message here?

Sign of the Times?

Around 2008, the economy was terrible. I was living in New Jersey, and we were going through the collapse of the housing market. People who were making $30,000 per year were some how getting approved to buy $500,000 homes, and that was just the tip of it.

Things were bad, and they were bad for a long time, but no matter how bad things got or seemed to be, it was always a recession. It was just a recession.

People knew better. They knew it was a depression, but the word depression was avoided at all costs because it causes a panic. But that was then.

At 3:05 this afternoon, CNN reported Gustavo Arnal, CFO of Bed Bath & Beyond, took the suicide plunge to his death, jumping from the 18th floor of his New York apartment building.

Bed Bath & Beyond is in serious financial trouble right now, and Arnal’s death happens to coincide with the layoff of 20% of corporate employees and the closing of 150 stores.

I’m not saying Arnal killed himself because of what was going on with his place of employment, but this is definitely a situation we should keep an eye on. Why would the CFO of one of the most popular brands in America kill himself?

No one is going to come out and tell us if we’re in a depression or if things are actually that bad in the country right now, so we, the uniformed public have pay attention to the signs.

Big Ten Football

The NCAA College football season has begun, and I thought it’d be a good idea to reacquaint ourselves with the confusing split between teams in the Big Ten Conference. So, here it is.

BIG TEN

EAST
Indiana 1-0
Penn State 1-0
Maryland 1-0
Michigan 1-0
Michigan State 1-0
Ohio State 1-0
Rutgers 1-0
WEST
Northwestern 1-0
Iowa 1-0
Minnesota 1-0
Wisconsin 1-0
Illinois 1-0
Purdue 0-1
Nebraska 1-1
Big Ten Football Conference

If you look at the chart, you can see by the records that every Big Ten team has played at least one game so far in this 2022 season. Nebraska is the only team to have played two games, and Purdue is the only team in the conference without a win.

Week 1 comes to an end tomorrow when the final game is played between Clemson and Georgia Tech, and then week 2 action picks up again next weekend, Saturday, September 10th.

Nooz Now

September 3, 2022 Edition

What’s going on everyone? Today is Saturday, September 3, 2022, and we have just about another twenty days left of summer. 2022 is almost over-I can’t even believe it. But yeah, it’s that time of year. When I woke up this morning the birds were chirping, and the smell of football came in with a breeze through an open window near my bed. Ah, September.

Let’s get into today’s Nooz!

🚀Artemis 1 is the first of three NASA missions that will eventually return humans to the moon by 2025ish. I guess with all the focus on the mission’s future goals, someone’s overlooking the small details as Artemis 1’s takeoff has been cancelled now for the second time. First it was engine troubles, and now it’s a leak somewhere. I don’t know what’s going on, but I hope NASA gets it together soon. Putting humans on the moon is a major event-we’d all love to see it!

🔥California is going through a severe drought, and wildfires are once gain ripping through the state.

😮A woman who had just left a Target in Memphis, Tennessee with her 1-year-od baby, was approached by two men while putting groceries into her vehicle. According to the police report, the men pointed a gun at the woman and demanded cash, but when she couldn’t produce any, one of the men grabbed her baby out of the shopping cart and forced both the mother and her baby into their car. Eventually, after getting $800 from her, the woman and her baby were driven back to the Target they were abducted from.

🏈NFL: The NFL regular season will kickoff this Thursday, September 8th with a night game between the Bills and the Rams, and of course the action continues over the weekend. The Eagles will travel to Detroit to play the Lions, the Bengals will host the Steelers, and the Giants will travel to Tennessee to play the the Titans.

🤷‍♂️This might not make sense because it’s kind of random, but if you really think about it, it will. I guess authority figures are shocked and somewhat taken back about how citizens are acting towards law enforcement and different agencies in law, but I think some citizens are getting tired of the threat of jail. Jail is a weapon, just like death is, and the threat of it is used to keep people in line. I don’t think it’s about people disliking law enforcement, some people are just tired of the threats and living in fear because of the threat of jail.

🍰🎈Famous September Birthdays: Beyonce-09/04/81, Keanu Reeves 09/02/64, Prince Harry 09/14/84, Nick Jonas 09/16/92, and Tom Hardy 09/15/77.

🌖Currently, the moon is in its waxing gibbous phase and will reach culmination in seven more days. On September 10th, the night of the full moon, the moon will be in Pisces.

Alright everyone, thank you for visiting Nooz Buffet. Have a wonderful evening!

And remember something, it’s September 3rd 2022. It’s not 2020, 2010, or 1989. At some point, we all need to let the past go. If you refuse to, you risk loosing everything you have right now. Move on, move forward, stay positive, and grow.

Lots of love ya!

What’s Wrong With Being a Rebel?; Disgusting Commentary Reveals Mentality of Mentally Ill

Where do I even begin with this one? I guess, let me start by saying I don’t know anything about Doug Mastriano other than he’s running for Governor of Pennsylvania. I don’t have an opinion about him or what he believes in, and I’m not in any way defending him.

I read an article in the The Morning Call, which is a major newspaper publication here in the state of Pennsylvania. For those of us who are from New Jersey, it’s Pennsylvania’s version of the Star Ledger.

The title of the article was; Mastriano’s Choice of Garb Confirms What a Rebel He is.

Now, this article was in the Commentary section of the newspaper, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with the contributor sharing his opinions, however, when you’re biased, it makes for a really disgusting and frankly, personally revealing article.

There was a photo taken in 2014, of Doug Mastriano and twenty other people. It was a faculty photo at the Army Heritage and Education Center at the Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Everyone in the photo is wearing what appears to be a war-time costume or uniform representing the many battles that took place throughout our history, and because Mastriano decided to dress up as a Confederate Soldier, of course, it became a huge deal, and the contributor of this article decided to add his two-cents.

I’m glad he did too.

It's understandable that Mastriano would want to represent the Civil War. The Battle of Gettysburg was fought near where he lives now. And he has a doctorial degree in history. But why not dress as Union Soldier? The Union the the war. Why not be associated with the side fighting for freedom,...
Contributor Morning Call

Wow.

#1 Who cares what uniform one wears. Does he come to your job and tell you what to wear to work? The Civil War was America vs. America. The Civil War is our history, and I know you probably support the recent trend to destroy and remove anything historical, but both sides should always be remembered and represented in some way. You’re problem is that you still think the Civil War was fought over slavery.

#2 The Union wasn’t fighting for freedom. America, which was the original 13 Colonies, was already free. We signed the Declaration of Independence almost 100 years before the Civil War began. The Civil War was about the expansion of territory (manifest destiny) from coast to coast. And the North couldn’t achieve their objective unless every state was unified under one centralized government.

The financiers needed America to become the United States of America. The Confederacy didn’t want to be apart of the plan, so in reality, it was the South that was fighting for freedom. The North was fighting for consolidation. The North used slavery as their excuse. President Lincoln proposed a plan to free all slaves and they killed him. Lincoln wasn’t using slavery to advance some other agenda, he was going to end slavery, and they killed him.

Lets get away from history now. The history of our country is what it is. You’re supposed to learn from your past not hide it or hide from it.

You see, I get it. Everyone who has a professional job like the contributor who wrote this article, has given up their first amendment. They’ll never speak the truth if doing so will cost them their jobs. There’s a line they won’t cross. When it comes to issues that could possibly be seen as offensive to certain groups, they’ll turn and run the other way. Most of them sold out for the money-so they pick a side and perpetuate the lies.

YO! We’re so far beyond that.

I digress..

There’s nothing wrong with wearing a Confederate war uniform, and there’s nothing wrong with wearing a Union uniform. If the contributing writer of this article is sincere about what he wrote, then it’s his mentality that’s destroying this country. He, like so many American’s have been brainwashed into accepting one version of our history, and because he either hasn’t taken the time to study for himself, or he just doesn’t have the ability to see through the bullshit, his views are predicated on lies.

I’d like to know what this writer’s problem is with Mastriano though, because it seems personal. Mastriano’s choice of garb doesn’t confirm anything. If Mastriano was truly a Rebel, he wouldn’t be acting in government.

#3 There was no way for the Union to lose the war. Again, what you’re failing to accept here is that a group of people, a group of wealthy, powerful, and influential people, believed that it was God’s will to manifest destiny. Manifest…destiny. Manifesting destination. That means there’s an ultimate plan in place for the United States, and it’s driven by “progress.” That plan doesn’t involve normal citizens. We don’t have a say. This group wanted to take the 13 colonies, and the rest of the state territories on the North American continent, consolidate them under one power that could oversee everything, establish the United States of America, and expand its borders from sea to sea. It was about control for the group that was using the North.

But you’re free to believe what you want.

Have a wonderful night.

Sneak Peak and Some Other Thoughts

I think most of us think about the people we love, those close us in some way, and family members. Some of us worry and some of us obsess over it. However you are personally with that, isn’t really important right now.

It’s not important because some people are truly concerned, which is normal to a certain degree, but some people use what others are doing to justify their personal behavior; why they do or don’t do what they should be doing.

You know those people. “I didn’t get any sleep last night because I was up all night worrying about where you were.” No, you were up all night partying, and I just happened to be sleeping out. Anyway..

What’s important is that you don’t lose site of yourself, your needs, and your life. That’s the point-because some of us do worry about our loved ones.

The second thing I wanted to mention was that I’m going to make a serious effort to live with more love in my heart, with more patience, and more acceptance.

Why, you ask? Because we change. The older we get the more we change and we seem to get further distanced from the things we once found funny, liked, and did.

I’m 42 now. I was 18 twenty-four years ago!! I’m not trying to rush anyone into growing up, but at the same time, I’m in a completely different place then I was 20 years ago. I don’t know, I don’t think it could hurt to be a little more tolerable of some of the shit going on around me.

Okay, now that that’s out of the way, I wanted to give my audience a little gift. Below, is a two-page excerpt from my first book, Smorgasbord A Collection of Thoughts Experiences and Stories. If you didn’t purchase it yet, you should. The first book seems to be fan favorite.

Nooz Now

August 29, 2022 Edition

What’s going on? Welcome to another edition of Nooz Now! Today is Monday August 29th, and we have three more days left in the month of August. Let’s get it!

🍰🎈Happy Birthday! On Saturday, August 27th Paul Reubens, aka, Pee Wee Herman, turned 70, and coming up on September 17th Cassandra Peterson, aka, Elvira, will turn 71! Out of all the people who have birthdays during this time, you’re probably wondering why I picked Pee Wee and Elvira? Well, Pee Wee’s Big Adventure was one of my favorite movies, and I liked Reuben’s role in Blow. Peterson’s Movie Macabre came out in 1981, I was just a baby, but after watching the reruns on YouTube recently, I’ve come to appreciate two things in my adult life. Peterson had some serious sex appeal-she looked good, and still does for 70 (and Reubens too), and also, I enjoyed the role she played as the host of the show. She was funny, she had personality, and she used point out stuff in movies that were kind of obvious, but you just never seemed to notice. She was the originator of hot trash! 💕🤣

💥The nature of the threat hasn’t been disclosed, but Lehigh University in Pennsylvania is on high alert after a former student made threats against his classmates. Campus security beefed up its manpower and now have extra units on Patrol. Shit must be serious.

🪐I never even knew it was there, but in Arizona, there’s a hole in the earth that looks like it was caused by a meteor from space. It was indeed confirmed as so, and it was estimated that the event happened 50,000 years ago. If that site isn’t the location of the first actual dropping of a nuclear bomb, which a lot of people aren’t aware of, then I think it’s absolutely amazing that Earth, at one time, was hit by a space rock! But yeah, the first atom bomb was tested in the United States in 1945.

💒Did you guys know Ben Affleck is married to Jennifer Lopez? Yeah, came across that information a little while ago, and to be honest I was never a fan of Ben Affleck until I watched his 2006 movie, Man About Town. It was good and that led me back to his other movie, Boiler Room, and I was a fan after that. Now I’m all interested in his marriage, 🤣.

👻What’s up Boo? Remember that? 🤣 We used to say that in the 90s, but there’s a dating app that seems pretty good, it’s called Boo. I like Boo because it helps you build a decent profile. I know a lot of people don’t read profiles, but if you’re using the app properly and trying to meet people you actually have shit in common with, Boo sets you up nicely for that.

👷‍♂️👷‍♀️Don’t forget, this weekend coming up is Labor Day weekend, and Labor Day will be recognized on Monday, September 5th. When I lived in New Jersey, Labor Day Weekend was a big deal, because I lived on the coast and it was the last weekend for the shore. Yup, the Jersey Shore! It was packed on Labor Day Weekend, just craziness-bars, clubs, parties, barbeques, etc. After moving to Pennsylvania, I kind of forgot about Labor Day because I wasn’t near the beach anymore, but I guess the real meaning of what Labor Day is all about is now the focus. Work?! I guess.

🏈In NFL preseason week 4 action this past weekend, the Eagles lost 10-48 to the Dolphins, Chicago beat the Browns by 1, 21-20, Pittsburgh beat Detroit 19-9, and the Jets beat the Giants 31-27. The regular season begins Thursday, September 8th with a night game scheduled between the Rams and the Bills.

Alright everyone, thanks for visiting Nooz Buffet! Have a wonderful evening!

Virgo and the Luminaries

August 23rd to September 22nd, here on the eastern coast of the U.S. is hot. As we get closer to the end of August, we get into the time referred as the “dog days of summer.” The month of August is coming to an end and so is the summer season so as we begin to get overwhelmed by the heat, we’re given a break. The fall or autumn arrives and the temperature and humidity drops a little.

Astrologically, this time of year is represented by Virgo. According to Greek mythology, Virgo was associated with Astraea, the immortal goddess who was the last to leave humans and earth at the end of the Silver Age. Justice, innocence, purity, and precision are words connected with Virgo, and Virgo was always connected with the harvest.

Photo by EKATERINA BOLOVTSOVA on Pexels.com

Justice is why we find Virgo in the heavens next to constellation Libra, the scales of balance and justice. When you think about the words we connect with Virgo and the timing of her leaving at the end of the Silver Age, we can clearly see the reason for her departure. When humanity is without purity and innocence, the degeneration begins.

Interestingly enough, between August 23rd and September 22nd, the school year begins, and for some children, it will be their first experience socializing and mingling outside the home. Children are pulled from the shelter and protection of their parents and the private sanctuary that is the home, and placed into the classroom.

Right now, we have a special and powerful situation astrologically. A brand-new moon phase is beginning tonight in Virgo, and the sun is several days into its transit of Virgo. I think it’s special when we have a new moon coinciding with the sun’s entry into a sign, and what makes it powerful is the relationship or aspect between these two luminaries. As the sun sits on Virgo’s 4th degree and the moon on the 11th, they’re separated by 6 degrees. We call that a conjunction with 6 degrees of separation. Powerful!

A revival of new life and will power has been given to Virgo, and we’re blessed with mutable earth. We’re blessed with the ability to go with the flow, the ability to adjust and readjust, and the ability to experience without becoming too attached for the importance of figuring out what makes sense to us.

Virgo embodies precision, concentration, attention to detail, and the search for truth. It’s in the areas of service and health that we find a natural home and place for the manifestation of the Virgoan characteristics and energy.

With a brand-new moon phase beginning and Mercury in Libra, the heavens, through the various channels of communication, are calling for justice, balance, and harmony in the areas of service and health.

You can blog about it, write about it, talk about it, or make a video. Sometimes the rectification of a situation only requires that we bring attention to it. When you take something out of the darkness and place it in the light, you can see it for what it truly is.

If something doesn’t feel right internally, or something doesn’t look right, speak up. Your health is important; do your own research and if that’s not enough call or go see a doctor.

If you have extensive knowledge or consider yourself to be an expert in a field related to health or service, it’s time for you to speak up.

You might have a unique perspective or an understanding about something complicated, but because you’re personable and easy to talk to, you might be able to help someone internalize and wrap his head around something that never made sense to him.

Lies are told and the truth is hidden for many reasons, but sometimes it’s done to protect people. That’s acceptable to an extent. When withholding information creates problems, complications, and imbalance, then it’s time to release it. That means you’re ready.

Tonight, a new phase begins, and it culminates on September 10th with a full moon in Pisces. Your ability to be mutable and go with the flow has presented you with this awesome opportunity to figure out what does or doesn’t make sense. With that, you can begin this phase by sowing the proper seeds.

Focus your attention specifically and directly on the problem and the imbalance. Dig; do your research, study, and find the hidden truth.

When you find the truth, you may keep it to yourself, or you may communicate your discovery with others, but becoming the savior of the world isn’t the calling here. It’s about validating sense with truth and restoring balance. On the night of the full moon, you’ll be able to see the difference.

Starting tonight and lasting until the night of the full moon, the communications will center around justice and making things right. Those who work in service have an obligation to the people they serve, and often, they’re held to higher standards. You should know this before you get involved.

At this time there will be zero tolerance for abuse of power, or withholding important truths. Astraea may have left humans and earth at the end of the Silver Age, but the spirit of Virgo will forever seek justice when it comes to protecting the innocent and those pure of heart.

Fulton Books; Moving Forward

Fulton Books made a finished product out two of my manuscripts and they’ve done a good job. I think they’re doing the best they can do, and I trust what they’re telling me.

As far as the third issue is concerned, I can’t say that it has been resolved, but I think I know enough at this point to recognize if something isn’t right moving forward.

I self-published my second book with Fulton Books this year and just submitted my third. I’m learning.

When you self-publish a book, you’re more than an author. Yes, you’re creating the content, and you’re responsible for the associated costs. If you fail miserably or become a best selling author, it’s all on you.

You’re a creator, you’re financing the project, you become the marketer, and you become the financial officer. You are responsible for creating, seeing your creation through every step of the process, and keeping up with it.

With all that taken into consideration, you should have at your disposal, every detailed and every specific report when it comes to your sales. You should know where your book is selling the most. Is it online sales or is it brick and mortar sales? Do you sell more paperbacks or more e-books? Are people buying more of your books from Amazon or Target?

You should know who’s buying your book in bulk and who’s allowed to redistribute it. You should be able to see proof and match every listed sale with what you’re being paid.

There’s a lot more responsibility and a lot you need to be aware of. Yes, it’s exciting to have your manuscript published-it’s an accomplishment. It’s an awesome feeling to go shopping and see your books on the shelves in stores, or get that internet sales report that says people just bought your book.

But don’t get lost in all that. Find out what your potential publisher can provide for you and how specific and detailed they can get or allow you to get.
